Arjun Suravaram has a good weekend as the film has collected a distributor share of 3.90 Crores in the Telugu States. Weekend collections of the film are in the range of hero’s earlier film Keshava and less than Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (4.11 Crore) which is still his career-best. The theatrical rights of the film in the Telugu States are valued for 7 Crores. Now the film needs to hold well on weekdays to attain hit Status.

Nikhil Siddharth’s long delayed film Arjun Suravaram is finally seeing the light of the day today. An official remake of Tamil thriller Kanithan, the film is directed by TN Santosh who helmed the original version. The suspense thriller revolves around fake certificates scam unearthed by a dynamic journalist.
Story :
Arjun Lenin Suravaram ( Nikhil ) is a TV channel reporter with social responsibility. He’s framed in a educational loans scam and police arrests him. After released on bail , Arjun investigates to find out who is involved in the Education loans scam and fake certificates mafia. Rest of the movie is all about his moves to bring out the truth
Analysis :
First striking feature of ‘ Arjun Suravaram ‘ is production values. Producers have spent a good amount on this film and can be seen in various scenes. Story has a social message theme with fake degree mafia backdrop.
Movie takes off in interesting manner and first half engages the audience adequately. BBC job aspirant Nikhil’s career takes a beat when he’s got arrested in educational loans scam and apprently he tries to break the mafia behind it. Kavya ( Lavanya Tripathi ) role as a colleague to Arjun is a half baked one. Out of the few songs , one is good . Shot in foreign locations ‘ Kanne Kanne ‘ song is cool with rich visuals.
As Arjun sets counter trap to the mafia , first half ends. Second half gets into emotional mode when 48 kids die in a School collapse incident. Incident occurs due to the poor construction by a fake certificate engineer. Arjun’s chase for fake certificates mafia gets repetitive at this point. With not so brilliant moves , film comes to climax and Arjun exposes the truth
Direction is good in patches. Being a remake , some loose ends should have worked out better.
Performances : Nikhil Siddharth got a role that would have elevated his range more . He performed well, supported by all other cast. Lavanya Tripathi role is half baked and nothing much to rave about. She looked, performed decent. Posani Krishna Murali got sympathetic role. Vennela Kishore , Satya got hero sidekick roles and spread some laughs . Nagineedu , Pragati are parents of hero. Vidyullekha , Raja Ravindra played other roles

- Repetitive Second Half
Verdict :
Arjun Suravaram has engaging first half with it’s different backdrop , gets into repetitive mode in second Half. If more creative stuff is infused to second half , this film would have hit success milestone. On-time release would have helped even more. Overall , not a bad watch !

One Distributor Troubled Us A Lot: Nikhil
Nikhil’s Arjun Suravaram faced so many obstacles and fortunately the film is releasing in couple of weeks. In fact, Nikhil too feared that the film may never see theaters. He spent lots of sleepless nights as he never went through such unsettling situation. During media interaction, Nikhil Siddharth openly confessed that he went into depression mode for nearly two months.
“The constant postponement has affected me. I never faced such tremendous pressure before in my life about a movie’s release. It was like a depressive period. Thank god, it is releasing now. It has also taught me a big lesson,” he said.
Actually, financial matters are not at all the reason, but the film got postponed uncountable times due to outside forces. The film is back on track from last one month with it clearing all the release hurdles and theatrical trailer getting tremendous response. Chiranjeevi’s presence is a biggest bonus.
Nikhil says one distributor is behind the film’s postponement as they never had financial issues given that theatrical and non-theatrical business was already closed for good deals.
“A distributor who was in debts has caused all the trouble. And few other factors forced us to change the date several times,” says Nikhil who got partial payment as he is pretty confident of the film becoming a commercial hit and he will get all the dues then.
“Mega Star Chiranjeevi garu came on his own for pre-release event because he wants the social message in the film needs to be reached out for public in great extent. He was absolutely right in calling the film an Edutainment (Educational and entertainment),” states Nikhil who feels sad for missing out the title Mudra which according to him is an apt one for the film.
About his next projects, Nikhil informs he will be joining hands with Chandoo Mondeti for Karthikeya sequel. He also has film with VI Anand under Geetha Arts Banner and will be doing a film called Hanuman.
Will Mega Factor Work Wonders For AS?
Nikhil and Lavanya Tripathi starrer action thriller Arjun Suravaram is finally releasing on November 29th. The film’s release as is known got postponed on numerous occasions due to various issues.
However, just ahead of the film’s release, the makers got a huge fillip when Mega Star Chiranjeevi attended the pre release event and this generated craze for the project.
Since trailer and video song Kanne Kanne shot in picturesque location too were well received, the makers are in ecstasy and are promoting the film with double energy.
Nikhil’s daredevil stunts, his sparkling chemistry with Lavanya Tripathi and unexpected twists and turns are said to be major USP of the film which is now capitalizing on mega factor since the pre-release event.

A short while back, the full video song of ‘Kanne Kanne’ from ‘Arjun Suravaram’ album was released.
The video song has pleasing visuals and an equally impressive tune. The music composer Sam CS has scored the brownie points with his good work for the audio single.
The pre-release event of ‘Arjun Suravaram’ is set to be held on November 26th. Megastar, Chiranjeevi is the chief guest for this event.

Nikhil had faced huge embarrassment with ‘Arjun Suravaram’ that was postponed several times at the eleventh hour. He did extensive promotions earlier but the film was postponed a week before its release date twice in the past. I have nothing to do with this film henceforth, he made this statement a couple of months ago but he is again promoting the movie as it is hitting the screens on November 29.

Nikhil’s Arjun Suravaram gets table profits
Young and talented actor Nikhil is known for choosing interesting scripts. Despite tasting a debacle with the remake of Kannada film Kirik Party, Nikhil has decided to work on another remake for his next film which is titled as Arjun Suravaram. A remake of Tamil hit Kanithan, the film has Nikhil playing a strong willed journalist who busts a fake certificates racket.
Arjun Suravaram has been making good waves in Telugu as Kanithan received good response at Tamil box office. The intense teaser has raised the hype further in trade circles. Young actor Nikhil signed an invetigative crime thriller which was titled Mudra and the film is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Kanithan. Nikhil and producer Natti Kumar exchanged words recently and Natti Kumar released a film with the title Mudra. The makers of Nikhil’s film decided to change the title and welcomed suggestions on social media.
The film is now titled Arjun Suravaram and is in final stages of post-production. The film will release on March 29th all over. Nikhil plays a journalist in this racy action thriller that completed shoot during December. Lavanya Tripathi played the female lead and Tagore Madhu is the producer.
