Evaru Grand Premieres Today – Overseas Release by US Telugu

Regina’s comment on Balakrishnudu isn’t sounding factual
Dusky heroine Regina Cassandra is not seen in many Telugu films these days and at the same time, none of her Tamil films is also impressing any. As she features in the lead role in Adivi Sesh’s forthcoming ‘Evaru’ which is releasing this week, she is promoting the film extensively in Telugu states.
During such interviews, explaining her absence in Telugu films, she pointed out at one dumb role, which sounded very silly. She articulated, “I’ve been choosy these days, hence picking only roles that have substance irrespective of the language. In recent times, I’ve done all good roles in Telugu films, except for the one in Balakrishnudu”. Isn’t this sound twisty?
Due to most of her films flopping at the box office, though she is not the reason for that, offers shied away from Regina. But then, the actress tried her best to impress audiences with hefty glamour through Nakshatram in Telugu and Mr Chandramouli in Tamil, and she is limited only to song-dance routine in those films. Other movies like Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Seven had her in non-substantial roles only and those films also ended up as duds.
We wonder why Regina specifically named Balakrishnudu as the dumb film she did but others are good when almost all others also fall in the same category. The struggling heroine should have made a more factual comment.
Adivi Sesh’s Evaru to have special premiers
Actor Adivi Sesh, who has the reputation for choosing novel scripts, is coming up with yet another interesting thriller set in crime backdrop which is titled as Yevaru. Directed by Venkat Ramji, the film has Naveen Chandra and Regina Cassandra in crucial roles.
The recently released theatrical trailer has evoked a strong response from audience for its intriguing set up and gripping visuals. The makers are quite confident with the output that they have decided to host a special paid premier in Hyderabad one day before it’s release. The premier will be screened on August 14th and many Tollywood celebs are likely to grace the show.
Adivi Sesh made a mark for himself with back to back hits in recent times. So, Evaru is carrying good expectations in audience and trade circles. The film is produced by Prasad V Potluri.
Evaru Trailer: Racy and Intriguing

Adivi Sesh plays a corrupted cop who investigates about a murder mystery. Regina struggles hard in the investigation process after she kills Naveen Chandra in the film. On the whole, Evaru trailer hints that Adivi Sesh is back with one more gripping action drama. The film is carrying good expectations and is releasing across the globe on August 15th. Manmadhudu 2 and Evaru overseas rights snapped for a decent price
Akkineni Nagarjuna’s romantic drama Manmadhudu 2 and Adivi Sesh’s suspense thriller Evaru are getting ready to hit the screens in August. The overseas rights of both these films have been bagged for a decent price by a noted distribution house in USA. While Manmadhudu 2 has fetched 1.7 Crores, Evaru has been snapped for 1.35 Crores.
Manmadhudu 2 is directed by Rahul Ravindran and has Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. The fun filled romantic trailers have piqued the interest of audience and Nagarjuna’s age defying looks have already been a talking point in audience. The film is billed as a follow-up to Nag’s role in his iconic comedy hit Manmadhudu. Trade circles are expecting that the film will cut across all sections of audience. The makers have locked August 9th as the release date.
Adivi Sesh has cultivated the habit of delivering sensible and path breaking films in recent times. He is once again coming up with another intriguing subject with Evaru. Directed by Venkat Ramji, the film has Regina Cassandra and Naveen Chandra in significant roles. The film is said to be a thriller laced with interesting premise and riveting screen play. Picking up thrillers back to back, here comes Adivi Sesh with ‘Evaru’ after impressing with ‘Kshanam’ and ‘Goodachari’. He has once again opted for a thriller and the poster says it all.
Regina looks confused (say petrified too) as she stares into a broken piece of mirror, with Adivi Sesh right in front of her in the depth. And the caption of the movie, “All answers shall be questioned” is what raises more expectations about the movie. Giving a piece of hint through this poster that the film is all about a criminal investigation, already Adivi Sesh has set his audiences and a teaser will just add to it.
Except for the newcomer director Venkat Ramji, the whole of Kshanam movie team including music director Sricharan Pakala, dialogue writer Abburi Ravi, cinematographer Vamsi (for Kshanam he was associate) and producer PVP remain the same. And that sets a big expectation on the movie.
Apart from Adivi Sesh who plays corrupt cop Vikram Vasudev, both Regina Cassandra and Naveen Chandra, need a super hit in the form of this film. Hope they do on August 23rd, when the film releases.
