Natural Star Nani pinned all his hopes on his next film titled Jersey. The film is said to be a sports drama and it will release on April 19th across the globe. Gowtam Tinnanuri is the director and Shraddha Srinath is the heroine. The makers arranged a special press meet to disclose the details about the film. Nani said that they are keen on having a Chinese release for Jersey as this emotional drama will cater to the audience of China.

“Several Indian films fared well across Chinese markets. They love sports dramas and films that are emotionally high on content. Hence, we are in plans to release Jersey across the circuits of China. Things will be announced soon. Jersey is the most beautiful and emotional films in my career. I watched the film and I am quite confident on the success of Jersey” said Nani.

Sithara Entertainments produced Jersey and Anirudh composed the music.

Natural Star Nani wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming project titled Jersey. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, this emotional sports drama is currently busy with the post-production work. Nani plays a 36-year-old cricketer in Jersey and the makers shot two climaxes for the film. The film is loosely based on the life story of Indian cricketer Raman Lamba. Going with the plot, the film has a tragic ending however Gowtam shot one more that ends on a positive note.

Trivikram and Dil Raju will finalize the climax after a special screening that will be held soon. They will take the final call on the climax of Jersey. Shraddha Srinath is the heroine and Anirudh composed the music. Jersey’s teaser made huge noise all over and the film is carrying huge expectations. Sithara Entertainments are the producers. The film will release next month and an official release date will be announced soon.

Natural Star Nani surprised the Tollywood audience with his teenage looks in Gowtham Menon’s Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu. His teenage love story with Samantha in the film won accolades and Nani is all set to experiment once again in a teenage look for his next film that is a romantic drama that will be directed by Vikram Kumar. Nani is said to take Rs 10 crores pay cheque home for the film as per the early estimates. The digital, satellite and Hindi dubbing rights are already sold for record prices and the theatrical rights are quoted for decent prices. Jersey’s complete business is expected to touch Rs 50 crores mark. The shoot of Jersey will be wrapped up by February and the makers are in plans to release the film in April. It’s a period sports drama and the story takes place between 1986 and 1996. Nani is already taking cricket lessons in preparation for the role.

The movie is directed by Gowtam Tinanuri, who earlier directed “Malli Rava” movie with Sumanth. The director also clarified that this movie is not based on any real character and it is not a biopic. He confirmed it is an entirely fictional story. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is producing this movie under the banner of Sithara Entertainments.

Natural star Nani, who is busy with Big Boss 2 and his upcoming film Devadas, recently green-lit a script narrated by Malli Raava fame Gautham Tinnanuri which is said to be an emotional sports drama. Titled as Jersey, the film will be bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamshi.

It is learnt that the producer has come up with a proposal for Nani in order to keep the film’s budget under control. Reportedly, the producer offered the overseas rights of Jersey to Nani as part of his remuneration. Sources close to Nani say that he is yet to take a call on the producer’s proposal.

Nani commands good market in overseas as most of his recent films fared well there. So, this could turn out to be a lucrative deal for him if he accepts the proposal.

Young music composer Anirudh Ravichander who is busy with several Tamil biggies made his debut into Tollywood with Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi. The film’s result shattered his Tollywood dreams and he has been replaced with SS Thaman for NTR’s Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. The ace composer is making his comeback to Telugu cinema after a while with Nani’s next. The movie has been titled Jersey and it would start rolling from September this year.

Set in the sports backdrop, Gowtam Tinnanuri will direct the film. Anirudh has been in talks for the movie and an official announcement will be out soon. Sithara Entertainments are the producers and Nani essays the role of a cricketer Arjun in this sports drama. More details will be out soon
