Kavitha backs protesting wrestlers, urges government to ‘act now’

1

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislator K. Kavitha has come out in support of protesting women wrestlers and demanded the Centre “act now” against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Singh, who is accused of sexual harassment.

Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, said that women wrestlers have brought pride to the country with their victories across the globe and that absolute silence by the government at the Centre is no response to the emerging issue.

She demanded an action by the government that is in national interest and that of the dignity of our athletes.

“It is the hard work, dedication and patriotism of our women wrestlers that showed this talent of India to the world. The Government of India must think in the interest of the country in these 5 days,” tweeted Kavitha, a member of Telangana Legislative Council.

“Even after a serious charge like POCSO, the accused is out in public, justice is no way can be denied to the victim, and the ongoing brutality with these gold medal awarded women players is absolutely reprehensible. The Government must know that the entire country wants an answer and the world is watching. ACT NOW,” she wrote.

Top wrestlers including Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat had decided to immerse their medals in Ganga and had reached Haridwar on Tuesday evening. However, after intervention from farmer leader Naresh Tikait and appeal by locals, they halted their plans and gave a five-day deadline for action against the WFI chief.

Brij Bhushan Singh, who is a BJP MP from Kaiserganj in Uttar Pradesh, is facing allegations of sexually harassing women wrestlers including a minor.

Excise policy case: Vijay Nair tried to impress K Kavitha to generate kickbacks, says ED

1

Former communication in-charge of AAP, Vijay Nair, tried to impress KCR’s daughter K. Kavitha in the Delhi excise policy case, allegedly to gain their trust and generate kickbacks, the ED has said in the charge sheet, quoting another accused Buchi Babu, former CA of Kavitha.

Buchi Babu in his statement said that in March 2021, accused Arun Pillai and Abhishek had connected with Vijay Nair and Sameer Mahandru on Zoom call in Delhi in respect of the business opportunities in the upcoming Delhi excise policy. Buchi Babu said there was a political understanding between K. Kavitha and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

“Vijay Nair was trying to impress K Kavitha with what he could do in the policy. Vijay Nair was acting on behalf of the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Vijay Nair was working on the excise policy at their behalf,” ED has said quoting Buchi Babu.

The understanding was that in exchange of the favours that can be done in the policy and in the Delhi liquor business for K Kavitha, some funds would be given to the AAP. Arun Pillai was also closely working with Vijay Nair on the policy discussions. During this entire process, he was only giving his services as a professional and understanding the business opportunities on her behalf along with Arun Pillai.

When ED asked Buchi Babu about having possession of parts of the Group of Ministers (GoM) report in his phone on March, 21 2021, he said that Vijay Nair sent this message to Arun Pillai and him and then he copied this message from his one phone to other phone.

“Vijay Nair sent this message to show that he is getting those changes added in the GoM and the same he had sent to Buchi Babu and Arun,” the ED charge sheet read.

After the meeting that took place in Gauri Apartments in New Delhi, Buchi Babu, Arun and Abhishek met with Vijay Nair and businessman Dinesh Arora at ITC Kohenoor in Hyderabad in June 2021. The meeting was to discuss various issues pertaining to South Group’s engagement in the Delhi liquor business, proposals etc.

Don’t know who is Sukesh Chandrasekhar: K. Kavitha

1

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K. Kavitha on Thursday said that she does not know who Sukesh Chandrasekhar is.

A day after the jailed conman released his alleged WhatsApp chats with Kavitha and jailed AAP leader Satyendar Jain, the BRS leader issued a statement.

The BRS leader stated that she was not familiar with Sukesh.

She alleged that unable to politically fight CM KCR, some forces were running a campaign to defame him by targeting her.

Kavitha said that a smear campaign was being carried out against her with fake chats.

The member of Telangana Legislative Council alleged that certain media organisations were publishing false news about the Telangana government, BRS and especially about her.

In a letter written to Delhi L-G V.K. Saxena, Sukesh Chandrasekhar claimed that his conversation with Kavitha and Jain indicates a nexus between the Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and the BRS leader in the Delhi liquor policy scam.

Kavitha said some anti-Telangana forces who have no courage to check the BRS party’s growing popularity and politically fight KCR’s national action plan were using newspapers, TV channels and YouTube media to run a deliberate smear campaign against BRS.

She said an economic criminal releasing an anonymous letter and, based on this, BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao immediately writing a letter to the Election Commission and subsequently, BJP MP Arvind launching a smear campaign on social media as part of the BJP toolkit were all part of a game plan.

“In fact, I am not familiar with Sukhesh Chandrasekhar. I don’t even know who he is but some media organisations, without looking at the facts, published false news,” she said.

Kavitha said these media organisations had done the same earlier with regard to her mobile phones and later retracted.

She alleged that using criminal Sukhesh as a ploy, attempts were being made to defame the Telangana government, BRS party and KCR’s family members.

She found fault with a section of the media for what she called not adhering to basic tenets of journalism and carrying forward their political agenda.

Kavitha said this being an election year, these media organisations may spread more false news and hence, the people of Telangana should remain vigilant.

ED grilling of Kavitha, TSPSC paper leak fresh ammo for BJP, Cong

1

By stating that the people of Telangana have confidence only in the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to boost the self-confidence of the party which has been working aggressively to capture power in the state, where Assembly elections are due later this year.

“In the South, we have always been strong in Karnataka and in Telangana people now have confidence only in one party, BJP, and in Andhra Pradesh also people are looking towards us,” Modi said on March 28 while inaugurating a residential complex of the party in New Delhi.

Modi asserted this at a time when the saffron party is on an offensive to take political mileage from the recent developments, mainly the questioning of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K. Kavitha in the Delhi excise policy case and the exam paper leak scam that has rocked Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC).

Launching a bitter attack on the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) over Kavitha’s alleged involvement, the BJP state leadership is working aggressively to use this issue to its advantage.

Telanagana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other leaders are citing it to justify their attack on the Chief Minister’s family over corruption.

Alleged large-scale corruption in construction of irrigation projects besides family rule by KCR, as the Chief Minister is popularly known, had been the major issues for BJP in its attack on the BRS.

Since BRS leaders had been challenging the opposition to show evidence of corruption, the questioning of Kavitha by the ED is being projected as a big achievement of the BJP .

Even before the BRS could recover from this shock, the TSPSC exam question paper leak has given the opposition BJP and Congress a major issue to attack the state’s ruling party in the run up to the forthcoming Assembly polls.

By staging protests over the paper leak and pointing fingers at key government figures, both the BJP and Congress appear to be vying with each other to draw political mileage from the issue.

Both the major opposition parties are going all out to politically cash in on the unease among government job aspirants caused by the cancellation of a few exams conducted recently by TSPSC due to the paper leak scam.

The protests by student and youth groups over the last two weeks has already put pressure on the BRS and the BJP and Congress have added to this by alleging involvement of top guns including BRS Minister K.T. Rama Rao.

Sensing the political dividend they can draw from the issue, BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay and Telangana Congress president A. Revanth Reddy alleged KTR’s involvement. They are demanding a probe by the sitting judge of the high court or the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Though KTR has served legal notices to both and asked them to apologise or be ready to face defamation suit of Rs 100 crore, Revanth and Sanjay remained defiant.

“Defamation notice looks like an unending craving for more money. If KCR’s son’s reputation and image were worth Rs 100 crore, how much money should be paid to 30 lakh unemployed whose future is in jeopardy due to misrule of BRS government?” asked Bandi Sanjay.

Since the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Hyderabad Police investigating the case found involvement of several employees of TSPSC in leakage of question papers including the paper of Group-I Prelims, the BJP and Congress leaders alleged that the accused have links with those holding key positions in TSPSC and the government.

They have dubbed the SIT as an attempt by the BRS government to shield the big fish.

Going a step ahead, Revanth Reddy has even lodged a complaint with the ED and sought a probe into alleged money laundering in the paper leak scam. He alleged that there were huge cash transactions including through hawala route.

Political analysts believe BRS, which has been trying to highlight the Telangana model of development, has suddenly gone on the back foot.

Aiming for a hat-trick of victories to create a new record in south India, BRS is highlighting the state’s achievements under its nine-year-rule. From highest per capita income growth rate in the country and one of the highest GSDP growth rate to building world’s biggest lift irrigation project Kaleshwaram and implementing a plethora of welfare schemes for all sections of people, the ruling party is trying to tell electorate how this development model is attracting attention of states across the country.

KCR’s move to turn TRS into BRS is seen as a strategy to build a narrative around Telangana development for seeking another public mandate.

However, BRS leader Dasoju Sravan claims that TRS has been transformed into BRS only to fulfil the aspirations of people of all states in India and not for narrow political reasons.

“Whole country is looking towards KCR’s visionary leadership and people from other states are demanding their governments to introduce the schemes being implemented by the KCR government in their states,” he said.

The alleged discrimination by the BJP-led government at the Centre towards Telangana is also a big issue for the BRS.

BRS leaders miss no opportunity to target the Modi government for not fulfilling any of the commitments made to Telangana in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014.

For the BJP, KCR’s unfulfilled promises made in the 2018 elections will be a key issue. Slamming BRS for its alleged appeasement politics and its friendship with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), the saffron party is also raking up controversial issues like Hyderabad liberation day and four per cent reservation for minorities to achieve polarization on communal lines.

From winning just one Assembly seat in 2018 to becoming principal contestant to the ruling BRS in 2023, the BJP has seen a dramatic rise in its political fortunes in Telangana.

After winning four Lok Sabha seats in 2019, the BJP continued its forward march and consolidated its position by winning two Assembly by-elections and by posting an impressive performance in Greater Hyderabad’s municipal elections.

In the 2018 Assembly elections held a few months before they were originally scheduled, TRS had retained power by winning 88 seats. BJP could win just one seat. It finished second in only nine constituencies and in most of the seats its candidates forfeited the deposit.

However, BJP sprang a surprise in Lok Sabha elections held a few months later. The party not only retained Secunderabad but also wrested three other seats from TRS — Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Adilabad.

Two wins in by-elections had also given a boost to BJP. However, BJP’s hopes to score a hat-trick of by-election victories in Munugode were dashed by BRS in November last year.

Following the by-poll victories, the saffron party started to see a realistic chance for itself in the coming election and it is for this reason that the party is pumping in all its energy here.

Hectic activity in the party camp during the last few months, a series of visits by Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president J.P. Nadda and several union ministers indicate the importance the party is giving to Telangana.

The BJP’s emergence has been at the cost of the Congress party. After a humiliating defeat in both 2014 and 2018 despite claiming credit for carving out Telangana, the Grand Old Party appears to be struggling to remain relevant in state politics.

Reeling under defections of several leaders and legislators in the last nine years and crushing defeats in almost all by-elections, the party looks to be in disarray. Infighting and lack of any charismatic figure have added to the woes of the Congress.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra of Rahul Gandhi brought some enthusiasm to lift the spirit of demoralised cadre and the state Congress chief Revanth Reddy is trying to keep the momentum, the party faces an acid test in this year’s Assembly polls.

The Congress has been trying to impress upon people that BRS and BJP are the same. Its leaders often say the two parties are friends in Delhi but engage in shadow boxing in the state to hoodwink people. It is trying to expose the failures of both Modi and KCR governments.

BRS-BJP poster war in Hyderabad turns ugly

0

The poster war between Telangana’s ruling BRS and opposition BJP turned ugly with new posters emerging in Hyderabad on Sunday, showing Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K. Kavitha as a culprit in Delhi excise policy scam case.

The posters target CM KCR, his son KTR, Kavitha and other family members.

A wall poster with pictures of KCR, KTR, Kavitha, Harish Rao appears like a film poster. The film title is “Kalvakuntla Dongalamutha” (Kalvakuntla gang of thieves). “Story, screenplay, dialogues and direction by KCR”, reads the poster

Another poster carries photographs of Kavitha with liquor bottles and comments about her alleged involvement in the case.

These posters by BJP are apparently in response to those stuck by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supporters a few days ago showing BJP national general secretary B. L. Santhosh as a criminal and wanted and targeted Prime Minister Narenrda Modi over his promise of Rs 15 lakh.

Posters had come up in different parts of the city. “Talented in MLA poaching,” reads the poster. It also announced ‘reward’. “Sanction of Modi’s promise of Rs 15,00,000.”

The posters came up ahead of Kavitha’s second round of questioning by the ED in Delhi on Thursday. She, however, did not appear before the agency, citing a hearing by the Supreme Court of a petition filed by her challenging the summons.

BRS leaders alleged Santhosh ran away from probe into MLAs’ poaching case by not appearing before the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The BRS supporters had also put up posters last week when Kavitha appeared before the ED for the first time. Through the posters, the BRS tried to depict how the BJP government at the Centre used “raid detergents” to clean turncoats.

The posters carried the images of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who had corruption allegations levelled against them before switching from Congress to the BJP.

With hashtag “Bye Bye Modi”, the posters show how the “raid detergents” painted tainted leaders saffron. The posters also carried picture of Kavitha before and after the raid with catchline “True colors never fade”.

Hitting back at the BRS, the BJP had also put up posters and hoardings targeting the ruling party over defections.

Kavitha summoned again on March 20 by ED

0

Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who skipped the questioning of Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with Delhi excise policy scam, has been summoned again on March 20 by the probe agency.

On Thursday, her second round of questioning had to be done which she skipped.

Now, the ED has sent her another summon to join the investigation on March 20.

During her first appearance, she was reportedly confronted with Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Pillai, who had represented the South Group that allegedly gave kickbacks of Rs 100 crore to AAP leaders. The money was allegedly used during the Goa Assembly polls.

Pillai has reportedly said that he was Kavitha’s associate.

On Wednesday, the ED recorded the statement of Buchchi Babu, the BRS MLC’s former auditor and also a member of the South Group.

Kavitha has maintained that she has never met former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who has been arrested by the CBI and the ED in connection with the case, claiming that her name was being unnecessarily dragged in the case.

According to the ED, Kavitha is also one of the representatives of South Group in the excise policy case.

K.Kavitha’s ex-auditor joins ED probe in Delhi excise policy scam case

Buchchi Babu, the former auditor of BRS MLC K. Kavitha, on Wednesday joined the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) probe in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy scam case.

Buchchi Babu was earlier arrested by the CBI in excise case.

He was later granted bail by a Special CBI court and is now being grilled by the ED.

Meanwhile, Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was grilled by the ED for eight hours on March 11 in connection with the case.

She is slated to appear for the second round of questioning on Thursday.

Last time, she was reportedly confronted with Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Pillai, who had representing the South Group which allegedly gave ickbacks of Rs 100 crore to AAP leaders which were allegedly used in the Goa Assembly polls.

Pillai has reportedly said that he was an associate of Kavitha.

‘Larger conspiracy by Centre’, K. Kavitha moves SC against ED’s summons

1

The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to hear on March 24, a plea by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K. Kavitha against her questioning and also seeking protection from arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding a money laundering case connected with alleged irregularities in the Delhi excise policy scam.

The ED has summoned her for a third time on March 16.

Kavitha’s plea said her name has not been mentioned in the FIR registered by the CBI in connection with alleged irregularities in Delhi excise policy.

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is already under the ED’s custody in the same case.

On Wednesday, the matter was mentioned by a counsel for urgent listing before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, who refused immediate hearing and scheduled the matter for March 24.

Senior advocate Vikram Chaudhari, representing Kavitha, contended that she had earlier appeared before the ED earlier this month but the repeated summons was contrary to law because the petitioner was a woman.

“That despite the petitioner not being named in the FIR, certain members of the incumbent ruling political party at Centre made scandalous statements linking the petitioner to the Delhi excise policy,” said the plea.

Kavitha accused the ED of acting in “extremely shameful” manner and as per a “larger conspiracy orchestrated at the behest of the members of the incumbent ruling party at the Centre”.

The petitioner claimed the the ED is eliciting false statements from other witnesses by threatening to place them and their family members under arrest.

“The petitioner believes that the investigation against her is nothing more than a fishing expedition being undertaken by the ES solely at the behest of the incumbent ruling political party,” added the plea.

It further contended that ED, in teeth of settled law, summoned her to appear before their offices in New Delhi and has confiscated her cellular phone without any written order for production of the phone.

The plea claimed that petitioner apprehends that she would be physically and mentally coerced by the ED and stressed that there is no case against her.

It added that the only basis on which she has been implicated is on the basis of certain statements of a few persons who have given incriminating statements themselves as well as allegedly against her.AKavitha had earlier been questioned by the CBI in the case.

It has been alleged that Kavitha held benami investment in Indospiritis, a liquor firm involved in the scam.

The ED alleged Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai represented Kavitha in Indospirits.

The investigating agency has also alleged the South lobby, which included Kavitha, bribed the AAP government to formulate an excise policy to facilitate the companies to win the bids and to form a cartel and control the retail outlets in Delhi.

Excise policy case: After nine-hour grilling, ED summons Kavitha again on March 16

1

After grilling K. Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, in connection with the Delhi excise policy case for nine hours on Saturday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned her again for questioning on March 16.

Kavita was reportedly confronted with Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Pillai, who is already in ED custody for his alleged involvement in the case. A woman deputy director-level officer of the ED recorded the testimony of Kavitha.

Pillai was representing the ‘South Group’, which allegedly paid kickbacks of Rs 100 crore to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders which was reportedly used in the Assembly elections in Goa.

Pillai has allegedly said that he was an associate of Kavitha.

Their statements were recorded under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Kavitha was summoned to join the probe on Thursday, but she had sought more time after which her questioning was postponed to Saturday.

Kavitha has said that she has never met former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who has been arrested by the CBI and the ED in connection with the case, claiming that her name was being unnecessary dragged into the matter.

According to the ED, Kavitha is also one of the representatives of South Group in the excise policy case.

Delhi Excise Policy case: Kavitha and Arun Pillai being confronted by ED

0

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter and BRS leader K. Kavitha and Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Pillai are being confronted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with its ongoing investigations into the Delhi Excise Policy scam.

Pillai was representing South Group which allegedly gave a kickbacks of Rs 100 crore to AAP leaders which were allegedly used in Goa elections.

While Pillai is on ED’s custodial remand, Kavitha joined the probe after being summoned by the central agency.

Pillai has claimed to be an associate of Kavitha–a Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) MLC.

Their statements are being recorded under section 50 of PMLA.

A woman deputy director level official is recording the testimony of Kavitha.

Kavitha was summoned to join the probe on Thursday, but she wrote a letter seeking more time after which her questioning was postponed for Saturday.

On Friday, she also staged a protest at Jantar Mantar. She claimed she never met former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and that her name was unnecessary being dragged into the matter.

It’s Modi summons, says KTR on ED notice to Kavitha

1

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao said on Thursday described summons issued to BRS MLC K. Kavitha by the Enforcement Directorate in Delhi excise policy case as “Modi summons”.

Rama Rao, who is brother of Kavitha, slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led government for misusing central agencies to harass opposition leaders.

Talking to reporters, he said Kavitha would appear before the ED and cooperate with the agency unlike BJP leader B. L. Santosh, who tried to avoid questioning by the SIT of Telangana in the case of alleged attempt to poach BRS MLAs.

He also targeted the Prime Minister for indulging in crony capitalism.

He alleged that ED and CBI raids on opposition parties were aimed at eradicating democracy in the country.

KTR, who is also a cabinet minister, alleged that the central agencies have become puppets in the hands of the Modi government.

He alleged that 11 leaders of BRS have been implicated in false cases. “Why none of the BJP leaders are being summoned by the central agencies. Is everyone in the BJP a brother of Raja Harishchandra,” he asked.

Alleging that the BJP-led government at the Centre has become synonymous with “unscrupulous rule” and “dishonest” investigating agencies, he said that 95 per cent of the raids by the Central agencies were on leaders of opposition parties.

He claimed that conviction was only in 23 out of 5,400 cases registered by the ED against the opposition leaders during the last nine years.

The BRS leader alleged that industrialist Gautam Adani has a link with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said though the LIC and SBI lost Rs.13 lakh crore, both the Prime Minister Modi and the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman remained tight-lipped.

KTR questioned the PM why he was silent on allegations against him on Adani. “We are saying Gautam Adani is a proxy of Narandra Modi. Will he take a lie detector test? Does he have the guts to come in front of the country,” he asked.

BJP’s double engine means one engine is Modi and the other engine is Adani. “Modi is a political engine, Adani is an economic engine,” he said.

Telangana people can’t be intimidated: Kavitha

0

Slamming the Centre for “using” various agencies to “target” the Telangana ministers and other leaders, TRS leader K. Kavitha made it clear on Wednesday that people of Telangana can’t be intimidated.

Kavitha, daughter of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, alleged that after failing in its attempt at horse-trading, the BJP used central agencies to target leaders of opposition parties.

The member of Telangana Legislative Council was apparently referring to the ongoing Income Tax (IT) raids on Labour and Employment Minister Malla Reddy and the recent searches by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at granite companies owned by family members of civil supplies minister Gangula Kamalakar.

Addressing TRS cadres in Yellareddy constituency, the former Nizamabad MP accused the BJP of intimidating leaders.

Kavitha said that the only policy that BJP pursues is “Ram-Ram Japna, Paraya Leader Apna”, where if the party “fails in its horse trading attempts”, it uses central agencies to “harass” leaders of opposition parties.

Kavitha questioned if the BJP did no wrong, why were its leaders evading Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into MLAs’ poaching case and approaching courts.

Kavitha said that the BJP does not have any organisational strength in Telangana and hence they are “misusing” their power and money to “threaten” leaders of other parties to join them.

“We are the people of Telangana, we cannot be threatened – we will fight, win and always be there in service of our people,” she said.

As the state inches closer to assembly elections, Kavitha said that more and more leaders who have a mass appeal are being “harassed” by the BJP, especially the popular faces, ministers and Members of Parliament of the TRS Party.

She further accused the BJP of reducing the number of beneficiaries of PM Kisan Nidhi from 13 crore to mere 3 crore. She claimed that this scheme itself was copied from KCR led TRS Government’s Raithu Bandhu scheme. She alleged that the BJP is more concerned about stunts and PR than the well-being of masses.

Only re-tweets, no political activity for Kavitha!

1

Kalavakuntla Kavitha, the high-profile daughter of TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is completely missing from action for the past few months, especially after Etela Rajender’s episode in TRS.

Kavitha came to limelight for a brief period after she won as MLC from Nizamabad district in October 2020.

There were rumours that Kavitha will soon be inducted into KCR’s cabinet. However, after more than three months, there are no such indications from KCR.

Later, Kavitha tried to hog the limelight by announcing her decision to perform Hanuman Chalisa Parayanam for 41 days in March and April this year from chinna Hanuman Jayanti to pedda Hanuman Jayanti at the famous Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple. She was last seen in media during that period.

Since May, Kavitha is seen nowhere in TRS after Etela was sacked from cabinet on May 2 by KCR.

Even on social media platforms, she is not that active since then.

Since May, it is observed that Kavitha is just re-tweeting the tweets posted by Telangana Chief Minister’s Office and TRS Party.

She is not taking part in any programme or visiting her constituency Nizamabad.

Her supporters in TRS are saying that just re-tweeting the tweets will not bring her any political recognition or serve any purpose politically.

KCR’s daughter Kavitha flouts corona isolation rules!

0

On one hand, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been strongly advocating for social distancing to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the state. He even announced 24-hour Janata Curfew in Telangana on Sunday contrary to 14-hour Janata Curfew announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prove that he is more concerned than anyone else in the country to check corona virus.

But on the other hand, KCR’s own daughter and former Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha is flouting the isolation rules and arranging mass gatherings.

Everyone knows that Kavitha recently fined nomination as TRS candidate for MLC seat from Nizamabad Local Bodies constituency.

In this election, only representatives of local bodies like MPTCs, ZPTCs are eligible to cast votes.

There are nearly 800 votes in this constituency. Of this, TRS local representatives alone are nearly 600.

This clearly shows that Kavitha’s victory is foregone conclusion.

However, Kavitha does not want to take any chances as her shocking defeat at the hands of BJP in Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in May 2014 still continues to haunt her.

As a precautionary measure, Kavitha is running ‘camp politics’ to ensure her victory.

All the 600 TRS local representatives of Nizamabad constituency were shifted to a camp organised at a resort on the Hyderabad city outskirts.

They are being provided with food, liquor and entertainment. This is to ensure that Opposition Congress and BJP does not poach their MPTCs and ZPTCs.

This camp has resulted in mass gathering of nearly 600 people in the resort. This triggered fears that this camp may lead to spread of coronavirus.

Opposition parties are lashing out at KCR and Kavitha saying that they are preaching others to follow isolation but they themselves are giving scope for mass gatherings for their selfish political interests.

The polling is on April 7. If this camp continues till then, there is a danger of coronavirus spreading further.

“Kavitha or Nilambari” debate in TRS!

0

Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of Telangana CM KCR, is being compared with actress Ramya Krishna in “Narasimha” movie of late in political circles.

Ramya Krishna in the role of ‘Neelambari’ in superstar Rajnikanth’s 1999 blockbuster “Narasimha” locks herself in her house for 18 years burning with anger and vengeance to take revenge against Rajnikanth who refused to marry her and instead marries her servant actress Soundarya.

Similarly, Kavitha, after facing shocking defeat at the hands of BJP in Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in May, has confined to her house in Manikonda on Hyderabad city outskirts.

She is not seen anywhere either in party activities or in any functions or events or in her constituency Nizamabad since May 23 Lok Sabha results.

Even when TRS is taking up a big membership drive at present which is being daily monitored by her father KCR and brother KTR, there is no response or active participation by Kavitha.

Worse still is, minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, who is incharge of Nizamabad districts, had to go to Kavitha’s house in Manikonda, to give her party’s membership recently.

This photo was released to media which was the first and last public appearance of Kavitha since her defeat in Lok Sabha polls.

Kavitha as MP used to participate actively in Bathukamma celebrations on behalf of her organisation Telangana Jagruthi at several places across Telangana on a grand manner.

This year there was no hype or moolah as she played Bathukamma with just for others, the video of which has went viral on social media.

These developments led to speculations in TRS circles that Kavitha is burning with a vengeance to take revenge on BJP and for that reason, she locked herself at her house in Manikonda and will come out only after defeating BJP in Nizamabad after five years.

TRS party sources said KCR has offered Rajya Sabha MP post, MLC and minister post to pacify Kavitha and to bring her back to political limelight, but she refused it saying that nothing will satisfy her except taking revenge on BJP by defeating Dharmapuri Aravind in Nizamabad.

This is similar to Ramya Krishna who refuses all the offers offered by her minister brother in the movie to come out of the locked room and lead a normal life again.

However, in reel life, Ramya Krishna was not successful in taking revenge on Rajnikanth.

It remains to be seen whether Kavitha will reverse this in real life by defeating Aravind.

Kalvakuntla Kavita loses in Nizamabad

0

Kalvakuntla Kavita, daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, has lost in Nizamabad MP seat. After a keenly contested battle, she has eventually been defeated. She faced big opposition from the farmers many of whom have filed nominations in protest against Kavita’s candidature.

The opposition has taken a serious view and gave a tough fight to Kavita from the beginning. The TRS cadres tried hard to repair the damage done by farmers’ leaders who campaigned for defeating Kavita.
