Is Kaushik Reddy playing mind-games with Eatala and Revanth Reddy?

1

Will Eatala Rajender join the Congress soon after winning on the BJP ticket in Huzurabad? Is there a secret arrangement between Eatala Rajender and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Revanth Reddy? Is this why the Congress is still undecided about putting up a candidate in the upcoming bypolls in Huzurabad?

Ever since Kaushik Reddy, the Congress leader, who had recently joined the TRS and is touted to be its MLC, made these allegations, the political circles are hotly debating the issue. This has added to the political heat in Huzurabad, which is witnessing a battle royal between Eatala Rajender and the RTS. Kaushik Reddy alleged that Eatala had given a ‘package’ as a part of a deal to Revanth Reddy. He said there were several secret parleys between the two leaders. As part of the deal, the Congress would secretly back Eatala and on winning the election, Eatala would join the Congress Party.

He argued that it is as part of this deal that Revanth Reddy, who is touring everywhere, has not paid a visit to Huzurabad. He is on record saying that the Congress has never won from Huzurabad till now. At the same time, Eatala is not speaking about the BJP anywhere during his campaign. This shows there is a secret deal between Eatala and the Congress, Kaushik said. The political circles feel that this could be a mind-game that he TS is playing against Eatala and the BJP. Some say that Eatala has no reason to hold secret parleys with the Congress.

As for Eatala Rajender, he has not so far reacted to Kaushik Reddy’s allegations. He is busy working out strategies to win the bypolls as and when they are held. He has not made any comments on Kaushik Reddy’s comments.

Poor Kaushik Reddy, na ghar ka, na ghaat ka?

1

Everyone is showing sympathy for newly-joined young leader in TRS, Padi Kaushik Reddy.

Kaushik Reddy, who was Congress leader in Huzurabad constituency, revolted against TPCC chief A.Revanth Reddy and joined TRS in July.

He joined TRS in the presence of TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao. This surprised all because usually, KCR attends such party joining programmes when the leaders from other parties who are joining TRS are his contemporaries like D.Srinivas. K.R.Suresh Reddy, L.Ramana, E.Peddireddy etc who worked as MLAs and ministers.

But Kaushik Reddy is just 36-year old young leader who is not even an MLA so far. He contested as a Congress candidate against then TRS candidate Etela Rajender in 2018 Assembly polls and lost.

With Etela quitting TRS and joining BJP, Kaushik Reddy tried to contest against Etela in upcoming Huzurabad Assembly bypoll. But suddenly he quit Congress accusing TPCC chief Revanth Reddy of trying to field some other candidate from Congress though Congress did not declare any one as candidate so far.

Within 10 days of joining TRS, KCR announced to nominate him as MLC under Governor’s quota much to the surprise and shock of all and ignoring several senior TRS leaders who are lobbying for this post. It was even approved in the cabinet meeting on August 1 and sent to Governor for approval.

But no one knows what happened later. The governor did not approve and did not issue notification so far nominating Kaushik Reddy as MLC. It’s already 18 days since it is lying pending with Governor but there are no comments from TRS or Raj Bhavan on this issue.

Normally, Governor cannot deny approval to MLC nomination approved by the cabinet. But KCR and TRS remaining silent even after 18 days on this issue triggered speculations that KCR himself requested Governor to keep MLC nomination pending.

Now it is rumoured that KCR is having second thoughts on Kaushik Reddy’s nomination as MLC because it evoked severe dissent from TRS party seniors who were expecting this post for the past few years. KCR is likely to put this issue pending till Huzurabad bypoll is over.

With this, everyone is showing sympathy on Kaushik Reddy saying na ghar ka, na ghaat ka.

Young politico’s fate hangs in balance, MLC seat is still sour grapes

Is Kaushik Reddy a TRS MLC or not? Though KCR has already announced that he would be made an MLC in the Governor’s quota, why has there been no notification so far? Why is the file pertaining to his nomination lying with the Government for more than a week so far? Has KCR kept the decision on hold in view of the snowballing opposition to Kaushik’s nomination?

Kaushik Reddy, who was billed to be the Congress candidate from Huzurabad, tried to two-time and work as a TRS covert. The TRS wanted to make him the party candidate from Huzurabad at the last minute so as to benumb the Congress Party. However, Kaushik’s phone calls to Congress workers, wherein he told them that he would be the TRS candidate, became public. Using them, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy pre-empted Kaushik and forced him out of the party. However, he managed to join the TRS in the presence of KCR, who promised Kaushik an MLC post in the governor’s quota.

However, sources say that KCR was unnerved by the opposition from within the party ranks to this decision. The loyal party workers were up in arms over this proposal and said that bypassing the loyal workers for turncoats was a bad decision. KCR is now cagey in view of the backlash. He is worried that these workers might not work for the party in Huzurabad. Sources say that it is for this reason that KCR has reportedly kept the decision on hold.

Sources also say that some TRS leaders have furnished to the Governor details of over 13 police cases pending against Kaushik Reddy. The Governor is said to have asked for a report on these cases. Hence, no decision was taken on nominating him, sources say . As of now Kaushik Reddy is neither here nor there.

Kaushik Reddy to join TRS tomorrow, is he Huzurabad candidate?

0

Padi Kaushik Reddy, who quit Congress last week, has decided to join TRS on Wednesday (tomorrow).

Kaushik Reddy contested as Congress candidate against then TRS candidate Etela Rajender in 2018 December Assembly polls but he lost by 43,719 votes. Etela secured 1.04 lakh votes, while Kaushik got 61,121 votes. All other parties lost their deposits.

Ever since Etela quit TRS and Assembly seat in June, Kaushik Reddy is waging a war against him in Huzurabad constituency with an aim to contest bypoll and defeat Etela.

Kaushik was trying for Congress ticket and at the same time TRS ticket to contest against Etela.

But the unexpected developments in Telangana Congress following the appointment of A Revanth Reddy as new TPCC chief on June 26 changed the fortunes of Kaushik Reddy in Congress.

There were speculations that Revanth was against Kaushik Reddy and wants to filed former MP Ponnam Prabhakar in his place in Huzurabad bypoll after there were reports in media that Kaushik Reddy met TRS working president KTR and also maintaining ‘secret relations’ with TRS.

At this stage, an audio clip of Kaushik Reddy which was leaked and went viral on social media platforms has put Kaushik Reddy in a fix. In the audio clip, he was heard telling Huzurabad local TRS youth leader that TRS high command has confirmed TRS ticket for him in the bypoll.

The TPCC issued show-cause notice to Kaushik. But instead of replying to show cause notice, Kaushik resigned to Congress and levelled serious allegations against Revanth Reddy alleging that Revanth became TPCC chief by bribing Rs 50 crore to AICC Telangana affairs incharge Manickam Tagore.

With Kaushik Reddy deciding to join TRS on Wednesday, speculations are rife in TRS circles that KCR wants to field Kaushik Reddy from TRS against Etela as Kaushik has put up a good fight against Etela in 2018 and has more chances to win against Etela on TRS ticket in the bypoll.

Manickam Tagore slaps Rs 1 cr defamation notice on Kaushik Reddy

1

The AICC Telangana affairs incharge and Tamil Nadu MP Manickam Tagore on Tuesday slapped Rs 1 crore defamation notice on former Huzurabad Congress leader Padi Kaushik Reddy for levelling bribery charges against him.

Kaushik Reddy was dismissed from Congress on Monday after he addressing a press conference in which he alleged that TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy bribed Rs 50 crore Tagore to secure TPCC chief post.

Kaushik Reddy, who was Congress candidate for Huzurabad seat in 2018 Assembly polls, lost to Etala Rajender, who was then TRS candidate.

After Etala’s ouster from TRS in May this year and Etala’s resignation to Assembly and his subsequent joining in BJP in June this year, Kaushik Reddy is aiming for Congress ticket to fight against Etala in upcoming Huzurabad bypoll.

But after Revanth became TPCC chief on July 26, speculations were rife in Congess circles that Revanth was not in favour of fielding Kaushik Reddy from Huzurabad and instead wants to field former MP Ponnam Prabhakar in his place.

Kaushik meeting TRS working president KTR and also maintaining ‘secret ties’ with TRS leaders have come out in the media. At this stage, a audio clip in which Kaushik Reddy was speaking to Huzurabad TRS youth leader was leaked which went viral on social media on Monday. In the audio, Kaushik Reddy told him that TRS confirmed him ticket for bypoll and asked him to lure all Etala’s supporters into his fold by offering money which he will arrange.

The TPCC disciplinary committee took serious view of this issue and issued show cause notice on Monday. Instead of replying to show cause notice, Kaushik Reddy arranged press meet, tendered resignation to Congress and levelled serious charges against Revanth Reddy and Tagore.

Tagore had earlier sent Rs 1 crore defamation notice to LB Nagar TRS MLA Sudheer Reddy, who defected from Congress to TRS, and accused Tagore of taking R 25 crore bribe from Revanth Reddy to give him TPCC post.

Tagore said the case against Kaushik Reddy was filed in Madurai court and welcome Kaushik Reddy to come to Madurai court to face trial.

Revanth’s first stroke: Hits Kaushik Reddy for a sixer

The newly-appointed Telangana PCC chief Revanth Reddy has shown his master class when he effectively checkmated Kaushik Reddy who was trying to two-time in Huzurabad. He got the audio clips of Kaushik Reddy admitting that the TRS was going to make him the party candidate in the Huzurabad bye-elections and cornered him by serving a show cause notice.

In one stroke, he eliminated Kaushik Reddy from the scene in Huzurabad and prevented a possible defection at the last minute by Kaushik Reddy into the TRS. By exposing his links with the TRS, he has also ensured that Kaushik Reddy does not get a TRS ticket. An embarrassed TRS quickly distanced itself from Kaushik Reddy and said that the party has not yet decided its candidate so far. An equally embarrassed Kaushik Reddy has resigned from the Congress Party by evening.

Kaushik Reddy, who addressed a press conference by evening, did not answer any question related to the audio clip where he said he would get the TRS ticket to contest from Huzurabad. He evaded reply saying that this issue does not matter at all. Kaushik also said that PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy was in no way connected with his political actions. Kaushik Reddy tried to put the blame on Revanth Reddy but looked quite unconvincing.

Analysts say that with the latest exposure of his phone conversation audio clips, the TRS would find it difficult to make him its candidate from Huzurabad. This actually clears the decks for other candidates from the TRS. Even if he joins the TRS, he would only have to work for the official candidate. This is also a clear message that Revanth means business and would not allow political two-timing in the Congress Party.
