Superstar Mahesh Babu is shooting for his next big budget film Maharshi which is carrying mighty expectations. Vamshi Paidipally is the director and the film has a list of top rated actors. A small wrap up party took place on the sets of Maharshi today in which the entire cast, crew were present.

The shooting formalities are nearing completion and the makers have already started the promotional campaign. A couple of teasers and two songs have been released so far. While the first song received decent response from audience, the second song turned out to be a damp squib due to the monotonous tune.

Interestingly, Maharshi album will have a total of 8 songs. It is learnt through close sources that there are six straight songs and two background songs. The makers are planning to release all songs one by one before the pre release event. The recently released Nuvve Samastham song is also a background song which comes at a crucial juncture in the plot. Also, it is heard that a song similar to ‘Vachadayyo Swamy’ in Bharat Ane Nenu is there in Maharshi which is said to have come out very well.

Devi Sri Prasad composed the tunes and background score for Maharshi. Directed by Vamshi Paidipalli, the film has Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
