Sabbam Hari dies after a long fight with Covid-19

2

Former MP and senior TDP leader Sabbam Hari has passed away after fighting a prolonged battle with Covid-19. The doctors could not save the seasoned leaders despite their best efforts. He is 69 years old and survived by two sons and one daughter. Sabbam Hari also served as the mayor of Visakhapatnam and used to actively raise all issues relating to the port city in different forums.

He was elected as MP on the Congress ticket from Anakapalli in 2009. After the Congress party lost its existence in Andhra Pradesh, Sabbam Hari shifted his loyalties to the TDP. Ever since, he remained a strong associate of the TDP leaders and he was vocal in criticising the policies of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Being the former Mayor of Vizag, Sabbam Hari raised his voice against the CM’s bid to make the port city the Executive Capital of the State. He has strongly criticised the decentralisation as a politically motivated plan of the YCP to destroy the chances for future growth and opportunities for AP. He also voiced his concerns on behalf of the employees when the gas tragedy at LG Polymers claimed so many lives.

Sabbam Hari’s death would leave a void that would remain unfilled in the political space of Visakhapatnam.

Fresh notice to Sabbam Hari despite court relief

0

It is well known that former MP Sabbam Hari has become one of the prime targets for the YCP Government in view of his vocal criticism of the ruling party’s policies. The municipal authorities already brought down some structures in the name of encroachment in his house premises in Vizag.

Now, a fresh notice was given to the former MP despite the status quo orders issued by the High Court till Monday. In the fresh notice, Mr. Sabbam Hari was asked to demolish the structures in his site within 3 days. Even the latest notice was put on the wall of the former MP’s house during night time. This has given ample indications that the ruling YCP was unrelenting in its bid to take total and undisputed control over the port city.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu decried the latest action of the YCP and said that only for the sake of vengeful politics, the Chief Minister was undermining and defaming the administrative set-up and the long-standing systems and institutions. It was nothing but vindictiveness that was behind the Government’s oppressive actions even on issues that were pending before the court.

The TDP accused the YCP Government of resorting to ‘midnight arrests, night time demolitions and late night notices’ in its bid to take its unquenchable revenge against political opponents. There was nil focus on development as the ruling YCP leaders were making it a single point agenda to harass the rivals. The Government was not hesitating to violate the courts’ orders in its haste to intimidate the opponents.

Sabbam Hari’s house toilet demolished in Visakhapatnam

2

Visakhapatnam former MP Sabbam Hari has joined the list of hot targets for the political rivals. The local municipal authorities made a flash strike and demolished the toilet at his residence in the port city. The officials say that Sabbam Hari has encroached 12 ft of government land and constructed the toilet. Despite several notices, the former MP was stated to have ignored it and retained the structure without demolishing it on his own. This was seen as a serious violation even as the officials launched the crackdown finally.

A very senior politician with four decades of political career, Sabbam Hari was alarmed and shocked at the action of the officials. Analysts see this as a part of a calculated mission by the ruling YCP regime to make all vocal and prominent politicians fall in line with its power game. For quite some time, Sabbam Hari has been very vocal in criticising and exposing the YCP leaders’ activities in the port city.

Already, the YCP has used pressure and won over several TDP MLAs and leaders in Vizag. Sabbam Hari is an old generation leader who has contested unsuccessfully on the TDP ticket from the Bheemli assembly constituency.

Now, the demolition of toilets is being seen as the ruling party’s tactics to create fear in any leader who questions the Jagan Reddy regime’s decisions ahead of Capital shifting. The TDP said that demolitions have become an obsession for the CM as he is suffering an ‘anti-social personality disorder’.

We’ll not allow Jagan atrocities in Vizag: Sabbam

0

Former MP Sabbam Hari made sensational allegations against AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy and the ruling YCP leaders. He warned them against continuing their land grabbing and administrative atrocities in Visakhapatnam. He said that the Capital is being shifted just because Jagan Reddy and his coterie cannot carry out their land grabbing activities in Amaravati region. It is clear that YCP has set its eyes on looting Bheemili region since there is lot of vacant land there. Only because of this, Capital is being shifted in this tourist spot.

Sabbam Hari expressed sadness that Jagan Reddy Gang is crushing the entire Andhra Pradesh state with their non-stop wicked political games. The former MP said that he was being deeply disturbed at the emerging threats to AP because of Jagan Reddy policies. This CM is not doing anything positive or constructive but he is only bent upon destroying the state for the sake of personal greed. Hari said that he has got clear evidence of how YCP leaders are grabbing lands in Bheemili area already.
