Ravi Teja’s proposal irks Srinu Vaitla

Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja is back to the big league with Raja The Great which has been declared as the biggest hit in the actor’s career. Ravi Teja who has been on a break for couple of years made his comeback and he has interesting films lined up. The actor signed a film for Srinu Vaitla who is one of his close friends in the industry. The film is expected to start rolling next year and will be shot mostly in USA. Mythri Movie Makers joined the board and Srinu Vaitla, Ravi Teja have been asked to share the profits instead of taking hefty cheques.

Though Ravi Teja agreed for the proposal initially, he is now not in a mood to work on profit sharing basis. After Raja The Great performed well, he is quoting his remuneration for all his future projects and this did not go well with Mythri Movie Makers. They decided to walk out of the project and Srinu Vaitla is currently in search for a producer who can invest on the project. The film is expected to start rolling from March next year.

Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja is back to busy life and he has been occupied with many interesting projects. He is wrapping up the shoot of Raja the Great which will release during Diwali after which he will complete the shoot of Touch Chesi Chudu. The actor also signed two new projects and one among them is the remake of Bogan which will be directed by Lakshman who directed the original. He also signed a film in the direction of Srinu Vaitla who has been struggling with a series of debacles.

Now the latest news is that Srinu Vaitla’s film is said to be a romantic entertainer laced with entertainment and will be shot mostly in USA. The movie’s shoot will start early next year once Ravi Teja wraps up all his current commitments. We have already informed that Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll the project on a strict budget. Ravi Teja and Srinu Vaitla will share the film’s profits and they will not be paid any remuneration for the film.

Nandamuri Kalyanram is on a break and the actor is yet to start his next project. After a debacle like ISM, it took sometime for the actor to come out and he is quite concentrated on his next production which features Tarak in the lead role. Titled Jai Lava Kusa, Bobby is directing the movie and Kalyanram’s NTR Arts is bankrolling this big budget entertainer. The actor signed a film in the direction of debutant Upendra Madhav who assisted Srinu Vaitla in the past.

The regular shoot of the film will start from June and young actress Manali Rathod has been roped in to play the female lead. She played one among the female leads in Vamsi’s Fashion Designer and Manali is quite excited after being asked to team up with Kalyanram. The film is said to be a political drama and it has been titled MLA. Bharat Chowdary and Viswa Prasad will jointly produce the film.

The disastrous result of Varun Tej’s ‘Mister’ looks to have hurt the film’s director Srinu Vaitla more than the producers. The impact on Vaitla was so much that he had to even lose his house.

With the blockbuster of Dookudu and moderately successful Baadshah, Vaitla emerged as one of the most reliable commercial directors. His demand was so much that he was reportedly paid Rs 10-12 crore remuneration for Aagadu. The result of that Mahesh starrer and Bruce Lee however destroyed his brand and he had to made a few sacrifices to take ‘Mister’ onto floors.

Vaitla invested his remuneration into the production of Mister and took rights of East , Krishna and Vizag in lieu. During the production, as the film’s official producers Tagore Madhu and Nallamalupu Bujji realized the budget going out of control, they reportedly put pressure on Vaitla, who then sold his flat and pumped certain amount in the production.

As the film resulted into a disaster, Vaitla lost his total investment and secured only the advances for the three areas he had kept. From a director who charged 10 crore remuneration to a filmmaker who himself had to invest in his movie, the journey of Vaitla is quite a big lesson to young filmmakers.

Talented director Srinu Vaitla has been out of commercial track from the past couple of years. After working with leading actors Nagarjuna, Mahesh and Ramcharan, he had to step down to direct upcoming actor Varuntej for his next. The movie has been titled Mister and it released all over yesterday. Srinu Vaitla pinned massive hopes on the movie and the makers spent a bomb on the movie. The ace director took no remuneration and he has been asked to share the profits for the film.

Unfortunately Mister received poor response from the audience and Srinu Vaitla has been badly criticized by the audience as well as the critics. The poor second half, routine plot and outdated narration made Mister rejected by the audience. The film is expected to leave the buyers and the makers in huge losses and Mister shattered the dreams of Srinu Vaitla completely. He is said to take nothing in terms of remuneration for the film and it is quite difficult for the director the grab an opportunity soon. Varuntej, Lavanya Tripathi and Hebah Patel played the lead roles in Mister.

Bruce Lee is an upcoming action cum family entertainer starring Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. Srinu Vaitla is directing the film and DVV Danayya is producing it. The film’s shoot is nearing completion and will release on October 16th.

As per an exclusive update, Bollywood actress Tisca Chopra is roped in for a crucial role in the film. The 41 year old actress has got decent films to her credit in Hindi. This will be her first film in Telugu. Already, another Bollywood actress, Krithi Kharbanda, is a part of Bruce Lee and she is playing Charan’s sister. The audio launch event will take place in the last week of this month.
