Allari Naresh’s Telugu action thriller Ugram will be streamed on OTT platform on June 2.

Directed by Vijay Kanakamedala and produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi, the film features Allari Naresh, Mirnaa Menon, Indraja and Sharath Lohitashwa in the lead roles.

Ugram will exclusively stream in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide on June 2, Prime Video said.

Ugram which was the first collaboration between Allari Naresh and Vijay Kanakamedala after the 2021 hit Naandhi was released in theatres on May 5. Though the film has not done well on the box-office, Naresh’s performance has come in for praise.

Ugram presents an enthralling action-drama that revolves around CI Shiva Kumar (Allari Naresh), a determined police officer, who delves into the investigation of a series of missing persons in Warangal. However, Shiva’s personal life takes a grim turn when his wife, Aparna (Mirnaa Menon), decides to leave him due to his aggressive nature. Tragedy strikes when Shiva, Aparna, and their daughter, Lucky meet with an accident. While Shiva gets injured, both Aparna and Lucky suddenly go missing. Driven by love and desperation, Shiva embarks on an unwavering mission to locate his family, unravelling shocking secrets in the process.

“Ugram is a special project; I got to reunite with director Vijay (Kanakamedala) and portrayed an honest and powerful cop in the film, which is a departure from my usual comic roles. I am confident that this action-packed thriller will captivate fans worldwide, keeping them at the edge of their seats,” said Naresh.

Ugram brings the super hit combination of Naresh and Vijay Kanakamedala after Naandhi. Back then, Naandhi got so much of critical acclaim as well as commercial success. The team is confident of repeating the feat. Naresh had interacted with the media on the occasion of the film release.

Naresh says he is so confident about the film. “I am very confident. After watching the movie, audience will talk about each craft separately. Sricharan worked hard for almost two and a half months and made a very new sound. Also Brahma Kadali, editor Sid, Prasad, and Abburi Ravi worked together as a team. After Naandhi, the expectations on the whole team increased. We have worked hard to meet those expectations,” he said.

He says he played three different roles in the film. “I will be seen in a role with three variations. It will be done in a time span of five years. He loves a girl while training as a SI, then gets married and has a daughter. Vijay also increased my weight a bit because I thought men would gain weight after marriage. First I did CI, then SI, and finally I did a role with short hair,” he revealed.

He also said the combination with Vijay Kanakamedala will continue. “We will continue the hashtag #NareshVijay. There will be a third film after we complete our commitments. Vijay understands me and my body language like no other. We already finalized a look for our third film,” he announced.

Naandhi combination – Allari Naresh and Vijay Kanakamedala is back with Ugram releasing on May 4th. Adivi Sesh, Vishwak Sen, Sundeep Kishan, Harish Shankar, and Anil Ravipudi are the Guests for the event.

Speaking at the event, Allari Naresh said, “Ugram is my 60th film. There are many directors, writers and producers in this journey. Thanks to everyone on this occasion. The team that worked in Naandhi almost worked for Ugram. When Vijay and I thought of this film, we thought it should go beyond Naandhi. Vijay, Sid, Abburi Ravi garu, Sricharan along with me worked hard to meet those expectations. Our producers Sahu and Harish did not compromise anywhere”.

“We worked almost sixteen hours a day for 73 days for Ugram. Fight Master Ramakrishna Master, Prudhvi Master Venkat Master designed high intense action sequences. It has six fights. Ugram is a new dimension of me. Intense Naresh will be seen in it. Naandhi was well received. I wish you support this movie ten times more than that. Please watch the movie when it will release on May 5,” the actor added.

Adivi Sesh, Vishwak Sen, Sundeep Kishan, Harish Shankar, and Anil Ravipudi have come in support of Naresh and the film. They were in high praise for Allari Naresh’s cool nature and wished Ugram will become a big success like Naandhi.

After tasting a series of debacles, Allari Naresh changed his path. He signed Naandhi and the actor’s performance along with the film received critical acclaim. He is testing his luck with Ugram and the film is directed by Vijay Kanakamedala who directed Naandhi. The hard-hitting film deals with human trafficking and the trailer was well received. The actor will spend busy time promoting the film and Ugram is hitting the screens on May 5th in theatres.

As per the update, Allari Naresh signed one more interesting film. Subbu who directed Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Better will direct this film which is set in 1980s. The film is a serious film and is a native drama. The film would be raw and rustic as per the update. The film’s official announcement is expected to be made soon. Allari Naresh will join the sets of the film next month.

Allari Naresh will be seen as a serious cop for the first time in his next release Ugram. Vijay Kanakamedala who earlier directed him in the hit movie Naandhi helmed the project which also deals with a social issue. Already promotional activities are happening for the movie.

Today, the makers announced to release Ugram in the summer on May 5th. The movie will compete with Gopichand’s Rama Banam, as the Sriwass directorial is also arriving on May 5th. Summer is one of the biggest seasons. Thus, there are a big number of movies coming in the holiday season. Allari Naresh in this announcement poster looks ferocious and this obviously is from a fight sequence.

The makers previously released an intense teaser and first single which both leaved a positive impression among the cine goers. The movie produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi features Mirnaa playing the female lead.

After delivering a series of flops, Allari Naresh impressed the audience big time with his performance in Naandhi. The film received critical acclaim and also made decent money in its final run. Allari Naresh and Naandhi director Vijay Kanakamedala are teaming up for the second time and the film is titled Ugram. The shooting of the film commenced recently and the title is announced today. Allari Naresh looked intense in this interesting action thriller.

The poster looks interesting and Allari Naresh seems to have signed a film that has one more challenging role to prove his acting mettle.
