TDP left AP in Rs 3.62 lakh crore debt, says Finance Minister

1

As expected, the YCP government released its first White Paper on Andhra’s dismal financial position today. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said that the previous government’s irresponsible spendings had left the already suffering state in huge debts of Rs 3.62 lakh crore. He accused the TDP government of showing negative results in all the important sectors. The Chandrababu government had also given wrong figures with regard to agricultural growth, industrial development, etc.

Buggana set the tone for the YCP’s continuing blame game against the TDP a day ahead of the budget session. He made it clear once again that the Capital City construction is not their immediate priority when compared to the crucial sectors like welfare, education, health, etc. Buggana ridiculed the previous government’s claims saying that there’s nothing except two buildings and three roads in Amaravati area. He said this despite criticism that YCP is humiliating farmers who gave away their long-held family property for Capital City.
