Telangana’s digital wallet launched by KTR

Government of Telangana has launched its official digital wallet – T-Wallet app by Minister of IT K T Rama Rao. People can use this wallet for not only private financial transactions but also government related transactions. The app is integrated with Government departments such as Mee Seva, GHMC, HMWSSB, TSNPDCL, TSSPDCL, RTA.

T Wallet is available for all the people and can be accessed via Smart Phone, Web Browser, Feature Phone and even without phone. People who own feature phone or do not own a phone can go to Mee Seva centres open T Wallet, load money and make payments using the wallet. It uses two factor authentication, through Aadhaar and Biometric or Aadhaar and OTP to Aadhaar linked mobile number, for feature phone and no phone users.

It will be used to perform government payments such as Aasara Pensions, MNREGA payments and any other payments to and from the government. The wallet is available in three languages including English, telugu and Urdu. Transaction Analysts got the licence to operate the wallet which is also the first firm to launch mobile wallet with Aadhaar integration in the country. Telangana Government has tied up with Vijaya Bank to provide an escrow account facility to Transaction Analysts.
