It is a small break for the film shoots because of the sudden shock that came from the Tollywood Unions. The shooting schedules of small-budget and big-budget films are disrupted and kept on hold. A series of meetings were held between the top producers and small-budget film producers from the past two days. A team of producers also met the members of Film Unions and their proposals were made. The final decisions are yet to be made. The producers are not ready to offer a hike for the union workers.
The biggest proposal that came from Telugu producers is a 9AM to 9 PM call sheet and the producers are demanding to revise it from 7 AM to 6 PM call sheet. It has been a stress for the producers if the shoot is getting extended after 6 PM. This generally happens for big films and the union workers have to be paid half call sheet if the shoot concludes before 9 PM. The Union members have opposed this decision for now. The producers of small films are strongly opposing the hike for the union members while the top producers are ready for a 15 percent hike.
As per the recent developments, the Unions have to compromise and step down, agree to some of the proposals made by the producers. Tollywood producers have an alternative option to hire new and young aspirants for various roles if the meetings will not conclude on a positive note. For now, there are high chances for the shoots to resume on Monday.
