TV9 Srini Raju in TDP committee on capital: Undavalli

Janasana chief Pawan Kalyan has unveiled the book ‘Evari rajadhani Amaravati (Whose Capital is Amravati) written by former AP CS IYR Krishna Rao. During this meet, Undavalli Arun Kumar revealed some interesting updates.

He told, “Sivaramakrishnan Committee” has been formed to examine the question where capital of AP should be built. This committee comprised senior IAS officer Shivarama Krishnan, Ratan Roy, Jagan Shah, Ravi and Prof. Ravindran. After lengthy examination of several parameters, committee gave it’s report. But after the review, AP government did not like the report. So it formed another committee, that comprised, Undavalli alleged, Sujana Chowdary, Galla Jayadev, Mastan Rao, Sanjay Reddy, Srini Raju and Prabhakar Rao. Undavalli questioned what does these members of the second committee know about capital. While the Sivaramakrishnan committee consisted experts in fields of Architecture and Financial administration, what expertise the members of second committee have.

However, out of all the names he mentioned, Srini Raju’s name surprised audience. Though Undavalli didn’t mention TV9, many people know that Srini Raju’s firm “Peepul Capital” is the promoter of TV9, the undisputed leader in telugu news channels. It was also rumored that Srini Raju’s stake alone in TV9 is valued north of 600 crores. It has to be seen if someone condemns this allegation or not!!!
