At the end of the day, Content is always the driving factor for strong revenues at the box office whether it is a small film or a star studded film. Recent blockbuster ‘Little Hearts’ once again proved this theory. The film’s impressive run took trade circles by a big surprise. The biggest achievement is that the film surpassed a coveted milestone in USA, which is the biggest overseas trade circuit for Telugu films. The film, starring Mouli Thanuj and Shivani Nagaram, was backed by Bunny Vas.
By the end of two weeks, Little Hearts clocked $ 1 Million gross in North America and emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time in terms of return on investment. Made on a shoestring budget of 2.5 Crores with relatively new set of talented actors, Little Hearts achieved a remarkable feat and proved that films with sensible content will always find patronage from the Telugu diaspora. Very few films in the past with a similar stature of Little Hearts managed to achieve this feat.
On the other hand, another blockbuster film Mirai continues to march towards bigger milestones in North America. The film is now eyeing the $ 2.5 million by the end of Saturday and race towards the $ 3 Million mark in its full run. The Teja starrer took a stupendous opening last week and continue to hold well during the weekdays. It emerged as a profitable venture after a strong performance in the first weekend itself.
Both these films are likely to mint decent revenues until the arrival of Pawan Kalyan’s OG.
