After the super success of KGF: Chapter 2, Yash took more than a year to finalize his next. He picked up Toxic, an action thriller and Malayalam director Geethu Mohandas is on board to direct the project. The initial plan was to release the film in summer this year but it was pushed. A major budget of the film was wasted. Yash was given a free hand by KVN Productions and Yash was also given a major share in the profits. Two large schedules were completed and the entire content was scrapped. Kiara Advani’s episodes are shot in a hurry as she was about to take a maternity break.

Toxic is one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema and the major budget was wasted. In the recent times, Toxic is one film on which the makers have spent more than double the planned budget till date. Still the shoot of the film is yet to be concluded. The makers have announced that the film will release in March 2026. Speculations also say that Yash is ghost directing the film. The last schedule of the film commenced in Bengaluru.
