WAR2 is loaded with high-budget action sequences – some land well, others miss the mark. The narrative thread tying these set pieces together feels absent, making the film stumble overall. At best, it hovers below average.
For NTR, his Hindi film debut turns out to be a mixed bag. performance-wise, he shines as always, while Hrithik brings his usual cool charm to the spy role. Kiara looks cool, with her song standing out, whereas the heroes’ dance number Janaab-e-Ali is just passable.
Bottom line: WAR2 falls short of expectations despite its star power and scale.
First Half Report: The first half of #War2 is high on action and grandeur but light on emotional depth.
Hero introductions, the car chase in Spain, and the interval private jet sequence make up the highlights. While the intros and the chase are engaging, the over-the-top jet scene feels exaggerated – Ayan Mukerji treats a jet almost like a public bus.
For Hrithik, this is a tailor-made role, and he delivers as expected. NTR shows no signs of nervousness despite working on a national-level film in a top franchise; he’s effortless, with confident dialogue delivery.He will make “some” fan base in mass hindi belts
The heroes’ dance in Janaab-e-Ali is merely passable. On the downside, the crackling chemistry that Hrithik and Tiger had in War (Part 1) doesn’t quite click this time.
Overall: First half is a mere passable watch for its scale and action, but lacking the emotional punch and hero camaraderie that could have elevated it. A lot depends on second half now

Young Tiger NTR is making his Bollywood debut with War 2, a stylish action thriller. Hrithik Roshan reprises the role of Major Kabir Dhaliwal while NTR plays Agent Vikram in this actioner. Ayan Mukerji is the director and Yash Raj Films are the producers. The film is high on expectations and the advance bookings are quite good. Kiara Advani plays the love interest of Hrithik Roshan and NTR has no heroine in War 2. Pritam is the music composer. NTR has a role with negative shades.
