Exclusive — Pawan Kalyan “fight” on H1b — Hypocrisy exposed

19

Pawan Kalyan has been in US and interacting with NRIs and various other leaders regarding the issues faced by NRIs.  Pawan Kalyan also sent a letter to PMO regarding the H1b issues faced by NRIs and he tweeted the same letter through his twitter handle. He went to the extent of calling US Government “Imperialistic”. On Saturday, Janasena organized a massive meeting in Dallas, it’s first in USA, Pravaasa Garjana. The event was well attended by Janasainiks and Pawan fans from across USA.

Janasena internal sources closely involved with Pravaasa Garjana give information about people who funded the Pravasa Garjana in Dallas and how some of these donors abused the H1b program to the core. A number of people who funded the event are into IT Consulting business, who have traditionally resisted reforms to H1b program and also underpaid employees (not everyone, but a good number of employers from Indian diaspora are guilty of that). In focus, specifically, is an NRI who donated close to $50k for Pravaasa Garjana. His name was mentioned multiple times to thank for involvement in the meet. This employer was fined for underpaying his employees in September 2018. The firm has agreed to pay back $350k in backwages and $45k as fine. It underpaid some of its workers, giving them paltry salaries for the work they did.

If Pawan is taking funding from people who have abused H1b system to the core, how can NRI’s even believe that he is working for interests of H1b employees? Isn’t it better to fix your own team, before calling US government as “imperialist”? All the strict rules on H1b by Trump administration are unfortunate, but these rules are because of H1b employers who have abused the system to the core — underpaying or not paying employees, flouting labor laws.

Why taking donation from H1b abusers if you have real intent to fight on H1b program, Pawan?

  1. It is such a one side baised story. Thanks to yellow media who entered in social networking sites too. Do hell with your stories in such articles. We participated in this tour upon our own interests on Pawan Kalyan. No one asked us funding and neither we gave for them. Show a proof for such blatent remarks before writing such idiotic article. And lastly this article is called hypocrisy rather than us.

  2. You are prejudiced that is for sure. H1B visa issues is affecting everyone including those consultants. You are trying to make issue out of nithing. Pawan still remains the cleanest and honest political leader in the fray. Everyone knows about the corrupt leaders in the ruling and in the opposition party. Most of of the media houses are stooges of the corrupt leaders. You are one among them

  3. In what way is that affecting the Consultants?
Is American has to follow the rules they put in place or facilitate corrupt practices as in India to Encourage Employers Exploitations?
Students come from India to Study but their motive is to settle down in US, they were supposed to go back to India after studying isn’t it?
It is IN FACT HYPOCRISY from Pawan Kalyans side!!!!

  4. You people against Andhra People in Telangna how come the roles get reversed after coming to US?
US should welcome with open arms and do all good things for you but you cannot have the same privileges in your own country????

  5. We can understand your malified intentions in bringing out this article. You are known for anti pawan propaganda and we cant expect better from you guys.

We know that you are jealous witnessing the grand success of JanaSena NRI Garjana and will find ways to defame it.

Fortunately the cottupt political parties behind you were unable to pull huge crowd during their visit and has drawn criticism bcoz of their links with people doing illegal activities.

Now you are trying to attach similar things to JanaSena which you will never succeed.

You guys are infact killing the real journalism by resorting to such cheap practice by colluding with political parties.

  6. The US Department of Labour Wage and Hour Division (WHD) has ordered the Redmond-based People Tech Group Inc to pay more than $300,000 to its 12 H-1B employees for paying them far below their salary. In addition, the information technology staffing company has also been asked to pay a penalty of over USD 45,000 for violating the labor provisions.

As per the investigation conducted by WHD, the company, which also has offices in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, failed to meet the labor provisions of the H-1B visa programme and paid its guest workers far below than what they should have been actually paid.

As People Tech Group Inc did not abide by the labor provisions and rules, the company will now have to pay USD 309,914 to its 12 employees and an additional a penalty of USD 45,564, a media release said on Thursday.

The Department of Labour investigators found that the company paid entry-level wages to H-1B computer analysts and computer programmers who performed the work of much more experienced employees and should have received higher prevailing rates.

According to the labor law, People Tech Group Inc should have paid the workers for the time when it did not provide them work, but, it failed to do so.

“The intent of the H-1B foreign labor certification program is to help American companies find the highly skilled talent they need when they can prove that a shortage of US workers exists,” said Carrie Aguilar, Wage and Hour Division Acting District Director, in Seattle. “The resolution of this case demonstrates our commitment to safeguarding American jobs, level the playing field for law-abiding employers, and ensure no one is being paid less than they are legally owed,” Aguilar said.

President Donald Trump led government has reportedly made a lot of changes in the country’s H1B visa policy claiming that some IT companies take advantage of the H1B visa programme to hire foreign workers for lower pay, displacing Americans from those jobs.
