Ileana in Ravi Teja’s Amar Akbar Anthony

In what would be her comeback to Telugu film industry after six years, Ileana D’Cruz, Telugu360.com has exclusively learnt, has agreed in-principle to feature in Ravi Teja-starrer ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’. While her part and the paycheck was one reason, the other reason was Ravi Teja, with whom she shares a great friendship.

It was not long ago, she, speaking to a Mumbai-based daily said how she loves Ravi Teja (of all her co-actors) the most. In fact, when Ravi asked her why she is she not into Telugu films anymore, she replied saying that no one was offering her anything. It looks like she got the offer that she’s been waiting and with none other than Ravi Teja.

A source close to the film’s unit confirms, “Although Anu Emmanuel was initially signed on to be the film’s heroine, some things didn’t work out. Ileana was approached later and the discussions with her in final stages. She liked her part and is extremely gung-ho about making a comeback to Tollywood again. The makers also felt that her pan India appeal will help the film in Northern circuits of the country where Ravi commands a sizeable following.”

Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ is a production of Mythri Movie Makers, which is on a roll with three consecutive hits, the latest being ‘Rangasthalam’.
