Sakshi mania: Chandrababu is the brand ambassador

The political vendetta between the Telugu Desam Party and the YSR Congress Party has become obvious. When YS Jagan started the media house, Chandrababu Naidu was invited as chief guest for the inaugural, which of course he did not attend. It is apparent that Naidu and TDP follow the channel more than the YCP or Jagan. In fact, for people who do not watch Sakshi, they still get to know the broadcasts of the media house through TDP and the leaders. These days even Nara Lokesh obsessed with Sakshi. Had Sakshi been a person, Naidu would have suspended the person from the assembly for his entire tenure.

Inadvertently, the CM himself and his party are the brand ambassadors for the media house. In democracy, people with different views can set up their own media houses. Many organisations write against them. While the misstep of Jagan is to own the media house Sakshi instead of having stakes and keeping a nominal head. Most of the media houses in the region restrict their political stakeholders to the boardroom.

However, based on the recent episodes, looks like a large-scale attack is consciously being planned on Sakshi and Jagan. Even when he was in opposition, Naidu was obsessed with Jagan and Sakshi. Now that TDP is in power, the obsession is out in open. In fact, everything for TDP is revolving around Jagan and Sakshi even in the assembly sessions. The real issues are being side-lined when the opposition is in the house. The opposition in its aggression, is indirectly giving a chance to TDP to pass the bills in their absence. The government should understand the difference between political rivalry and hatred against on the media house.
