Sankranthi 2026 season helped Tollywood open on a grand note. Except Raja Saab, all the films performed well and the makers will make profits. The next two months in Telugu cinema are quite dull as there are no big releases and crazy films lined up. Summer 2026 is expected to be extremely packed. Movies like Ram Charan’s Peddi, Nani’s The Paradise and Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit are announced but the films may miss the announced dates due to various factors. These films will also disrupt the announced charts of releases.
After Dhurandhar emerged as a super hit, the second installment is slated for March 19th release and most of the films announced for March release are in plans to avoid a clash with Dhurandhar 2. Actors like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ravi Teja, Naga Chaitanya, Nikhil, Sharwanand, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Akhil Akkineni, Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas will test their luck. Among these, Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambara and Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh are big-budget attempts. They have to avoid clashes with other Mega heroes and also find an ideal release date in summer to have a dream run.
A multiple film release in the same week will damage both the films. With several actors aiming for a summer release, all the producers have to meet and finalize the release dates in advance. At the same time, the dates have to be finalized and announced as the Telangana High Court has imposed a new rule of 90 days prior rule for ticket hike and permission for special shows. For now, there is a big mess among the summer releases of Telugu cinema.
