Geethanjali featuring Anjali was a super hit from the past and it is a horror thriller. After years, writer Kona Venkat and his team are back with Geethanjali Malli Vachindi. Srinivas Reddy, Sunil and Satya played other suporting roles in this horror thriller. Geethanjali Malli Vachindi released today and here is the review of the film:

Story:

Senakkayala Srinu (Srinivas Reddy) who scored a super hit with Geethanjali delivers three back-to-back flops. With no offers he left, he rents a pent house to prepare a script for his next directorial. Ayan (Satya), a friend of Srinu comes to Hyderabad to become a hero with the help of Srinu. When things are not turning well, they meet Vishnu (Rahul Madhav) a resort owner in Ooty. He offers a film for Srinu and they decide to shoot the film in Sangeet Mahal. Rumors say that Sangeet Mahal is haunted with ghosts. Vishnu convinces Srinu to shoot in Sangeet Mahal and Anjali agrees to play the lead role in the film. The rest of Geethanjali Malli Vachindi is all about the past of Anjali and her link with Sangeet Mahal.

Analysis:

The basic idea of Geethanjali Malli Vachindi penned by Kona Venkat is good. It is a horror film that can present loads of entertainment. But the screenplay in Geethanjali Malli Vachindi is not engaging and the scenes lack freshness. Even the entertainment part is poorly written. The real story gets unfolded before the interval. The first half of Geethanjali Malli Vachindi lacks the emotional content and interesting narration. The story too will not get registered well. The interval twist is good.

Some of the comic episodes in the second half are good and they are well written. Sunil is hilarious in the second half. He plays the role of a DOP in the film. Satya too showed off his best with his Malayalam acting. Satya carried some of the episodes with his comic timing. After some entertaining episodes, Geethanjali Malli Vachindi falls flat when it inches towards the climax. The climax portions are quite confusing and it is logicless.

Performances:

Geethanjali Malli Vachindi is the 50th film of Anjali as an actress. Her role has not been given prominence in the film. Anjali did her part well. Srinivas Reddy was apt as a director. The one liners of Satyam Rajesh and Shakalaka Shankar are goot at times. Satya is one of the major highlights of Geethanjali Malli Vachindi. He essayed a role of a youngster who aspires to become an actor and he is just hilarious in the attempt. Sunil gets an entertaining role after a long gap and he did it with perfection. Ravi Shankar was ok and Rahul Yadav was decent.

The film is pretty average when it comes to technical aspects. The songs are below average and the background score too failed to make an impact. The cinematography work is decent. Geethanjali Malli Vachindi is shot in some of the beautiful locations of Ooty and the location of Sangeet Mahal too is decent. The dialogues are not up to the mark.

Geethanjali Malli Vachindi is a bad blend of emotion, drama and entertainment. The screenplay and the writing is quite poor. The film reminds the audience of several horror films.

Thumping response to ‘Ra Ra Reddy’ number from ‘Macherla Niyojakavargam’

Nithiin will be next seen in “Macherla Niyojakavargam”, a full-length mass action entertainer produced by his father Sudhakar Reddy and sister Nikitha Reddy under the Sreshth Movies brand. The mass, special song “Ra Ra Reddy: from the movie, starring Anjali, which was released earlier, is now trending on YouTube.

With Krithi Shetty and Catherine Tressa in the key parts, the film boasts plenty of glitz. To add to the glitz, the producers enlisted actress Anjali to shake her leg opposite Nithiin in the special song “Ra Ra Reddy”.

With Nithiin’s most famous song “Ranu Ranu Antune Chinnado” from his debut movie “Jayam” included in the special song featuring Anjali, it comes as the frosting on the cake for his fans.

Nithiin and Anjali’s searing chemistry, as well as the mass dance, and the flamboyant backdrop takes it to the next level. The song is currently dominating on social media and across all music platforms. It’s currently trending at the top of YouTube Music, with over 10 million views.

With Mahati Swara Sagar as the music composer, “Macherla Niyojakavargam” is helmed by debutante M Raja Shekhar Reddy, and will hit the screens soon.

Macherla Special Song: Electrifying Mass Track

Hero Nithiin’s next Macherla Niyojakavargam is a mass action entertainer where he will be seen as an IAS officer. Krithi Shetty and Catherine Tresa are the leading ladies in the movie scheduled for release on August 12th. The makers today released special song Ra Ra Reddy… I’m Ready!

Anjali sizzles opposite Nithiin in this special mass number rendered by Mahati Swara Sagar. The song shows electrifying dances of Nithiin and Anjali. The actress also offered glamor feast in the song.

Mahati Swara Sagar killed it with his peppy tune and it’s going to be a solid hit with masses. The beats, mass aura, singing and dances are a lot of fun and create a groovy effect on the listener. Lipsika has lent the vocals, while lyrics are by Kasarla Shyam.

Anjali makes a sizzling appearance in Nithiin’s ‘Macherla Niyojakavargam’

‘Vakeel Saab’ actress Anjali looks sizzling in her dance number for the action-oriented commercial drama ‘Macherla Niyojakavargam’ starring Nithiin.

The filmmakers revealed Anjali’s look in a social media post on Sunday.

In the poster, the powerhouse actress, well-known for her role in ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, is shown in an extravagant setting wearing a blingy but attractive dress.

Anjali and Nithiin will dance together to the song, which has been written by Mahati Sagar.

Tollywood’s top production house Geetha Arts acquired the Telugu remake rights of the Malayalam blockbuster film Nayattu. The film is now remade in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages separately. Telugu actress Anjali has been roped in for a crucial role in the film and the actress gave her nod. Rao Ramesh will have one more prominent role. Satyadev is considered for the male lead in this remake but the talks are yet to be initiated. The makers are also considering the other available options.

The makers are also considering many options for the director who can handle this remake. The film will be completed in a single schedule in a month and will release soon. Gautam Menon is directing the Tamil version of the film and Geetha Arts is in touch with Menon to direct the Telugu version too. Names like Sudheer Varma are also considered. An official announcement about the film will be made once the director and the lead actors are finalized. The film will be made on GA2 Pictures banner.

No, not Maniratnam’s Geethanjali, but horror movie Geetanjali in which Anjali and Srinivasa Reddy played the lead roles is confirmed to have sequel soon.

Geethanjali was released in 2014, and the film was written and Presented by Kona Venkat and directed by debutant Raj Kiran. Geethanjali became a milestone in the career of Anjali and brought Kona Venkat good name after he parted with director Srinu Vaitla.

Now the sequel is confirmed but will not be directed by Raj Kiran who directed the original movie in 2014. Debutant director Subbu is directing the film Geethanjali 2 . Kona Venkat is producing this movie under Kona Cine Corporation banner . Anjali and Srinivasa Reddy will play the lead roles again in this sequel too. Needless to say, this sequel too will be in same horror-comedy genre.

Soon, all the cast and crew will be officially announced by the film unit.

Sometime ago, Telugu360 reported that Raj Tarun and Manchu Vishnu will team up for a multistarrer which will be directed by Nageswara Reddy. Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainments will produce this interesting multistarrer.

We have exclusively learnt that Anjali and Hebah Patel are going to play the lead roles in the film. This is an interesting casting coup by the makers as both Hebah Patel and Raj Tarun have impressed the audience with their recent outing Kumari 21F. Their onscreen chemistry has struck the right chord and entertained the audience big-time. So, it would be interesting to if the young pair can cash in on the craze and perform an encore.

The film will be launched very soon and the regular shooting will commence early next year.
