North India Theatrical Rights For Pan India Films 2024 – Pushpa2 fetches record price

As we know that many Pan India films are gearing up for release in the 2nd half of the year starting with Kalki (Scheduled for May 30 as of today), North India distributors have already started locking the theatrical rights of the films mostly on advance basis.

Pushpa 2 has gotten the highest advance among all the films which was quite expected given its popularity especially in North India. The first film (Pushpa : The Rise) was a blockbuster theatrical success in Hindi and the OTT/Satellite has taken its reach to another level. It has fetched 200 cr from the distributors on advance basis which is on par with Bollywood stars like Salman Khan & Shah Rukh Khan.

Prabhas’s Kalki has fetched 100 Cr advance while the RRR duo films Game Changer & Devara have fetched 75 Cr & 45 Cr respectively. Kamal Hasan’s Indian 2 has fetched 30 Cr in which 10 Cr is a non refundable advance.

Devara Deal: Naga Vamsi responds to Fake Posts

There is huge demand for the Telugu theatrical rights of NTR’s upcoming pan-Indian actioner Devara. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film is announced for release on October 10th. Several top Tollywood producers and distributors are in the race to acquire the Telugu theatrical rights for fancy prices. Before the deal got closed, social media was full of fake posters. The posts and posters said that Sithara Naga Vamsi has acquired the Telugu theatrical rights of the film.

Naga Vamsi took his official page to respond, calling them fake. He said “There is no truth in the “images” and “updates” being circulated on social media. Any official update about our Production or Distribution will be announced through us and US, ONLY. Kindly refrain from believing in rumours from any other sources”. Devara is jointly produced by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts. Janhvi Kapoor is the leading lady in this periodic actioner. Anirudh is scoring the music and background score for Devara.

Young Tiger NTR is all set to join the sets of War 2 and he will join the shoot tomorrow. Tillu Square and Gangs of Godavari are the crazy releases in summer and they are carrying good expectations. Tillu Square is announced for March 28th release. The release chart of April and May are expected to be announced soon. Kalki 2898 AD will release on May 9th and Prabhas has high hopes on the film. He will have a golden opportunity with no biggies around.

Ooru Peru Bhairavakona featuring Sandeep Kishan is now hitting the screens on February 16th. Gopichand’s Bhima which aimed for a February release is now releasing on March 8th. The film will clash with Vishwak Sen’s Gangs of Godavari. Ram’s Double iSmart is now moved to summer and the new release date will be announced soon.

After a series of delays, Tillu Square is now releasing on March 29th across the globe. NTR’s Devara is rumored to be pushed and Vijay Deverakonda’s Family Star is aimed for April 5th release. Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine’s release is also pushed and the new date would be announced very soon. Several other films are getting postponed. There would be a mad rush of releases in summer this year.

NTR wanted to complete Prashanth Neel’s film before commencing the shoot of Devara 2. He also has War 2 lined up and the shoot commences in March this year. But with Prashanth Neel focusing on Salaar 2, NTR decided to shoot for Devara 2 and release it next year. After the release of Devara, Koratala Siva will work on the pre-production of Devara 2 and NTR will wrap up the shoot of War 2.

Prashanth Neel’s Salaar 2 will release next year after which NTR and Prashanth Neel will work together. The scriptwork of the project is currently on. NTR is also in plans to release Devara 2 in summer 2025. War 2 is aimed for Independence Day weekend in 2025.
