Domestic Box-Office Preview : Geetha Govindam Eyes To Repeat at #1

Five Films, inclusive of two dubbed ones, will hit the theaters this weekend, out of which Neevevaro and Aatagallu has good awareness whereas Anthaku Minchi might find some target audience. Among dubbed titles, Lakshmi is having a decent release whereas Alpha will be limited to DCI Screens only.

Geetha Govindam which is on a Blockbuster run is eyeing to top the weekend box-office again as it has an advantage of B,C centres audience over Neevevaro which is releasing this friday as it relies on a very good mouth to dominate there. Even in A centres, Geetha Govindam will be playing on par or even more screens than Neevevaro which gives it an edge.

Neevevaro will easily occupy the second place as it has much better buzz than the other new release Aatagallu. The film is releasing in over 300 locations which is widest among all the new releases. Advance for the film ain’t that encouraging but its usual for this sort of films as they rely on word of mouth which comes into play from the evening shows. Domestic theatrical rights of the film are valued for 5.70 Cr which is highest for a Aadhi Pinisetty Starrer. His highest collected film so far is Marakathamani with a distributor share of over 2.50 Cr which means this film has to double that film’s numbers.

Another new release Aatagallu will occupy the third place unless things go completely wrong. The film is releasing in over 250 locations which is a very good number for it. Problem with the film is that it’s carrying low buzz which can completely kill it if the word of mouth comes out to be negative.

Anthaku Minchi & Lakshmi are releasing in 150 odd locations out of which Lakshmi hs high chances to come on top and occupy fourth place as it has a wider target audience than the other release.

Among the holdovers, Goodachari will find a place in the Top 5 list unless Anthaku Minchi surprise us its collections.

Geetha Govindam has an excellent first week with a worldwide distributor share of over 38.50 Crores. The film has been strong over the last two days which is the sign for a long run. It stands at 20th place in the list of first week worldwide share of all time and has also created a new record among Tier Two hero’s beating A Aa which had collected a distributor share of 34.10 Cr. A Aa had the brand value of Trivikram while there is no director brand for this film. Nani’s MCA is the best among Tier Two Hero’s if you take out the brand value of director and that film had collected 30.35 Cr Shae. Geetha Govindam has beat MCA with a huge 8 Crore margin. Recently, the have been reports that pretty actress Lavanya Tripathi turned down female lead roles in Tholi Prema and Geetha Govindam. Some people gave her the ‘Unlucky Actress’ tag for missing out on two blockbuster hits.

Geetha Govindam, starring Vijay Devarakonda in the lead role, has already been declared a blockbuster hit by trade analysts. It has been a fruitful weekend at the domestic Box-office as Geetha Govindam rocked, pushing all the buyers into profit zone and Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari emerges as a Super Hit

Geetha Govindam : The film has collected an approx distributor share of 13.80 over it’s opening weekend taking 5 days total to 25.30 Cr. It has also beaten Vijay Deverakonda’s Previous highest film Arjun Reddy which had collected a distributor share of 18.50 Cr to emerge as his highest grosser. The film is a BLOCKBUSTER !

Srinivasa Kalyanam : The film has continued it’s poor show as it has added a distributor share of 1 Cr in it’s second weekend taking 10 days total to 12 Cr Approx. Theatricals of the film are valued at 24.5 which means a recovery of less than 50 percent . DISASTER !

Goodachari : The film has slowed down relatively in it’s third weekend with a cummulative share of 7cr in domestic markets. It has emerged as a Super Hit and will settle as this verdict as it’s almost done with it’s business.

Saakshyam : The film is still feeding some theatres on percentage basis which neither changes it’s verdict more pushes the distributor share. Cummulative share of the film is below 12 Cr against the valued rights of 25 Crores. DISASTER !

Vishwaroopam2 : The film is still playing in theatres which don’t have any other option to screen. Cummulative share of the film is an approx 2 Cr in Telugu States against the valued rights of 5.50 Cr . Miserable DISASTER !

USA BO report : Sensational run for Geetha Govindam

Vijay Devarakonda’s latest offering Geetha Govindam has ended the flop streak at the overseas box office with its stupendous run in the first weekend. The romantic entertainer has galloped to $ 1.5 M by the end of Sunday and set sights on joining the prestigious 2 M club in the coming days.

Geetha Govindam carried good pre release reports and opened on a strong note with $ 400K from Tuesday premiers. There is no stopping for the Parasuram directional as the film surpassed the $ 1M mark with decent haul on Wednesday and Thursday followed by a strong Friday ( $ 240K ).

Due to the rave web reviews and the ultra positive word of mouth, the film registered sensational figures on Saturday with $ 354K to blaze past the $ 1.3 M mark. On Sunday, the film collected close to $ 200K to take the overall tally past $ 1.5 M. This is a mind blowing run for a film made with limited budget and a director with little success ratio in recent times. Geetha Govindam is Vijay’s third blockbuster in overseas after Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy. The film is all set to emerge as Vijay’s highest grossing film in overseas very soon.

Vijay Devarakonda , who is on cloud nine after stupendous success of Geetha Govindam, joined the Bigg boss house today along with his director Parasuram. As long as Vijay was in the house, the show was a roller coaster ride with lots of fun. Both Nani and Vijay played an interesting task with Deepthi Sunaina that was highly entertaining.

Nani told Vijay that Deepthi Sunaina is a great fan of him. So they called her into confession room and gave her a secret task. They gave her a blue-tooth device and she was in call with Nani and Vijay continuously and followed their instructions which are mostly funny tasks. Later, they played Geeta Govindam song and all housemates danced for the song. Vijay D highly appreciated Ganesh’s performance in the dance.

Both Nani and Vijay worked together in Yevade Subramanyam earlier. Both have very great timing and their sense of humor made the show highly enjoyable. Finally, as expected, Deepthi Sunaina got evicted from the house. As usual, evicted candidate has to throw Big bomb on one of the housemates. Sunaina thrown big bomb on Tanish and so he has to jump into swimming pool every day morning when song starts.

Vijay Devarakonda’s Geetha Govindham is unstoppable at US box office. After embarking on a phenomenal start with $ 400K on Tuesday premiers, the film is having a dream run in its first weekend.

After blazing past the million dollar mark with a solid Friday, the film had a sensational Saturday at box office with $ 330K to take the total past $ 1.3 Million mark. Going by the current trend, the film is poised to complete the weekend on a high with a $ 1.5 Million haul and head towards the prestigious $ 2M mark by the end of next weekend.

Geetha Govindam is on a Box-office Rampage with a strong trend in all areas. The film has breached the breakeven mark in all areas by the end of it’s fourth day. Geetha Govindam hits half a million dollar mark in overseas

Vijay Devarakonda’s romantic entertainer Geetha Govindam is rocking the box office with solid openings all over. Released on a national holiday, the film has garnered unanimous positive reports and encouraging reviews. While the domestic numbers are mind-blowing, the overseas collections are equally strong.

After embarking on a sensational start with $ 400K from Tuesday premiers, the Parasuram directional has surpassed the half a million dollar mark by mid Wednesday. Trade circles are reckoning that the film will have a terrific run in the first weekend and will effortlessly join the million dollar club making it Vijay’s third film to reach the milestone after Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy.

Despite a wafer thin storyline, Geetha Govindham managed to entertain audience for Parasuram humour laden dialogues and fine performances from the lead pair. Geetha Arts banner produced the film.

Young heartthrob Vijay Devarakonda is back with a bang at box office. His latest offering Geetha Govindham took a sensational start at box office on Independence Day. As the advance bookings are quite phenomenal, trade is expecting mind-blowing revenues in all areas of its release.

In overseas, Geetha Govindam embarked on a flying start with terrific numbers on Tuesday premiers. As of this writing, the romantic entertainer punched out $ 375K in overseas which places Vijay Devarakonda on par with star heroes of Tollywood in the list of highest grossing premiers.

Geetha Govindham is already the fourth biggest opener in overseas this year after Agnyathavaasi, Bharat Ane Nenu and Rangasthalam. The film has garnered decent reviews from overseas premiers and is likely to set the cash registers ringing in the first weekend.

Vijay Devarakonda’s Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy collected more than one million dollars in overseas and Geetha Govindam is likely to become the third film in the club going by its current range at box office.
