Star comedian joins NTR biopic
It is a known fact that director Krish is making NTR biopic as a star studded film with a bunch of notable artists in prominent roles. Already, star actors from Hindi and Telugu landed in different roles in this biopic which is being made as a two part franchise chronicling the life of NTR.
The latest addition to this prestigious biopic is popular comedian Vennela Kishore. As per the latest reports, Vennela Kishore will be seen playing the role of NTR’s personal manager Rukmanandha Rao, brother of NTR’s wife Basavataram. As NTR and his personal manager maintained a very good rapport, Krish wanted to show their relation and penned some episodes between them in his story. Vennela Kishore will step into the shoes of Rukmanandha Rao and is going to tickle the funny bones of audience for brief time.
The first part of the biopic is gearing up for release in January.
Shriya’s role from NTR Biopic revealed
A bunch of top rated actors joined the cast of NTR and the film has been carrying massive buzz. The latest one to join the prestigious project is Shriya Saran. Telugu360 revealed the news earlier that the actress has been roped in for a crucial role. ‘Daana Veera Soora Karna’ is a milestone in NTR’s career and an episode about the film will be narrated in NTR. ‘Changure Bangaru Raja’ song too will be showcased in the biopic.
NTR has been criticized for Duryodhana having a duet in the film but the song turned widely popular. Shriya Saran will be shaking her leg with Balayya in this special song and it has been canned recently in a specially erected set. Shriya Saran worked with Balakrishna in films like Chennakesava Reddy, Gautamiputra Satakarni and Paisa Vasool. The duo is teaming up for the fourth time and are all set to impress the audience.
Nithya Menon scared of comparison?
Talented actress Nithya Menon is doing role of legendary actress Savitri in upcoming NTR biopic. The first look released by the makers with Balakrishna and Nithya Menon got very good applause. As per Film Nagar reports, Nithya Menon is worried about comparison of her performance with another actress Keerthi Suresh who did the role of Savitri in Mahanati movie with utmost perfection.
Actually the director of Mahanati movie initially thought of roping in Nithya Menon for enacting legendary actress Savitri role. However for the reasons best known only to her she rejected the role. So, later that role went to Keerthi Suresh and her performance in the role of Savitri got tremendous response. By seeing performance of Keerthi Suresh, audience thought, Savitri herself came down to perform this role. Now for NTR biopic, makers initially thought of roping in Keerthi Suresh again but this time she rejected the role and so makers approached Nithya Menon and she accepted the role.
However comparisons are bound to happen between Nithya Menon and Keerthi Suresh. There is no doubt that Nithya Menon is a very talented actress. But Keerthi Suresh looks very much similar to Savitri , and director capitalised on that aspect. As Keerthi got tremendous response for her performance, now Nithya Menon also trying to give her best in the role.
We will have to wait and see how will be the performance of Nithya Menon in the role of Savitri.
Legendary NTR’s voice to be recreated for NTR Biopic
The shoot of NTR’s biopic is inching completion. The shoot of NTR – Kathanayakudu will be wrapped up by the end of this month and NTR – Mahanayakudu will be completed by December 20th. Nandamuri Balakrishna recently started dubbing for his role and the post-production work too is on cards. NTR – Kathanayakudu will have several interesting episodes picked up from NTR’s blockbuster films. Some of them are Bobbili Puli court scene and ‘Emantivi Emantivi’ episode from Daana Veera Soora Karna.
As per the update, legendary actor NTR’s voice will be used for these episodes. Krish feels that NTR’s voice from the original episodes can recreate the magic and Balayya too supported the decision of Krish. This is sure a thrilling news for Nandamuri fans and NTR admirers. Other episodes will have Balakrishna’s voice throughout NTR. We have to wait to see how audience accepts both NTR and Balakrishna’s voices throughout the film.
Two new surprises in NTR Biopic
Nandamuri Balakrishna and Krish have been surprising the Tollywood audience after they introduced bunch of actors who have been well transformed for NTR. The film has a list of top rated actors and the shoot of the film is currently in final stages. The latest update we hear is that the episode of Daana Veera Soora Karna is said to be one of the highlights of NTR – Kathanayakudu. Ageless beauty Shriya Saran will be seen essaying a crucial role in this episode and she recently wrapped up her part. One more surprise is that Kalyanram who is essaying the role of his father Nandamuri Harikrishna in NTR will play Arjuna in this Daana Veera Soora Karna episode.
The makers wrapped up the episode in a specially erected set in Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad. NTR – Kathanayakudu will release on January 9th all over and NTR – Mahanayakudu is expected to release during February 2019.
NTR biopic : Balayya to wow fans in ‘Bobbili Puli’ role
NTR biopic is a prestigious film for Nandamuri Balakrishna. The two part franchise, which has director Krish at the helm, will glorify the life history of legendary actor and politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

NTR Political Dialogues to get Cuts ?
The political situations in Andhra Pradesh have been changing with elections approaching. For the first TDP and Congress are joining hands to defend BJP at the Centre. AP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu took some crucial decisions and met Rahul Gandhi recently. These changes will sure have an impact on NTR. Legendary actor NTR floated TDP and took against Congress which was ruling the country without any major opposition parties. TDP emerged as a major force and NTR slammed Congress during his time.

NTR biopic : News about VV Vinayak’s role is just a gossip
NTR biopic is making headlines in media very often ever since it started rolling. Director Krish has pulled off a casting coup of sorts for this prestigious project. His choice of artists for different roles is spot-on and resulted in terrific hype for the film.
Notable stars like Rana, Rakul Preet, Tamannah, Prakash Raj, Vidya Balan etc are already part of this biopic. Now, the latest buzz in media is that VV Vinayak is going to reprise Dasari Narayana Rao’s role in this film. It is a known fact that Dasari Narayana Rao shared a very rapport with NTR in those days and audience with definitely expect a scene or two portraying their relationship. This is the reason why the buzz on Dasari Narayana Rao’s role started to catch up in industry circles.
Telugu360 learnt through close sources that the news about VV Vinayak’s role as Dasari is just a gossip and there is no truth in it. Director Teja who was supposed to direct NTR biopic planned to rope in director Chandra Siddharth for Dasari Narayana Rao’s role. He and Balakrishna finalized him at that time. However, with Krish taking over the project, a few changes were made to the casting. Reportedly, Krish wanted to skip that character and has no plans to cast Vinayak in it.
There’s sense of achievement playing Sridevi’s role: Rakul Preet Singh
Actress Rakul Preet Singh says playing the role of late veteran actress Sridevi in the upcoming NTR biopic is an achievement for her.
Talking about playing Sridevi in the film, Rakul said: “I am truly honoured and excited to play role of Srideviji in NTR biopic. When I was approached for that role, I asked the makers that they really think that I can pull it off because she is the first Indian female superstar. She was such a fine and legendary actress.”
She says the responsibility of essaying her role is even more now.
“I was feeling really scared hoping that I will be able to do justice to it but there is sense achievement as well because if makers thought that I can play her role then, I will give my best for the film,” she said at The Wedding Junction Show 2018 here.
The biopic is based on the life of yesteryear superstar NT Rama Rao. Actress Vidya Balan has reportedly been roped in to play NTR’s wife Basavatarakam in it. The film will also star Bengali actor Jisshu, who will be seen portraying the role of filmmaker and Dadasaheb Phalke awardee LV Prasad. He had launched NTR in films in 1949 with Mana Desam.
Directed by Krish J, the film is being jointly produced by N Balakrishna, who plays the title role in the film, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati.
Asked about the ongoing #MeToo movement in India, Rakul said, “It’s very good that we have started this kind of movement but I think we have to draw lines when it comes to deciding what is right and what is wrong. Cases of attempt to rape and flirting cannot come in one bracket therefore, I hope genuine cases don’t get diluted as so many of cases are coming out in the open.”
The 28-year-old actress says she fully supports women who are coming out and sharing their stories.
“It’s great that women will be respected and there will be much cleaner and safer environment for women at their workplace,” she added.
In Bollywood, Rakul will soon be seen sharing screen space with actor Ajay Devgn in Luv Ranjan’s upcoming production “De De Pyaar De”.
“There is another Hindi film which I have signed recently and it will be announced within a week. Apart from that, I am working in three Tamil movies. One of them will release in December and remaining two will release next year. There are two Telugu films as well which will release next year and one of them is NTR’s biopic”
“De De Pyaar De” is a romantic comedy by Akiv Ali, who will mark his directorial debut.
NTR biopic a cash cow for Balakrishna
NTR biopic is a prestigious project for Nandamuri Balakrishna as an actor and as a producer. He is pooling money bags for this much awaited film which is made as a two part franchise by director Krish. The film has been creating ripples in trade circles ever since it started rolling.
Balakrishna and Krish initially wanted to make it as a single part. As there are heavy expectations among audience, they have now announced it as a two part film. Krish’s impressive detailing for NTR’s biopic
Director Krish Jagarlamudi is sparing no effort to make NTR biopic a memorable one. NTR Biopic – Producers petulant behavior talk of the Town
NTR biopic is one of the highly anticipated films this season. The craze on the film among audience and trade circles is increasing with each passing day.
Meanwhile, it is reliably learnt that the producers are quoting unrealistic,exorbitant prices for all areas. Even further, the attitude of one of the Producers is hurting distributors and business partners.
In one instance, an overseas distributor gave a fancy offer of 17 Crs for both parts of the Biopic. Mr. MRV Prasad who is dealing the business quoted 20 Crs, and when the said distributor tried to negotiate by explaining the realities of Overseas market, Prasad told “Naa rate final. Paisa kooda tagginchanu. Teesukunte teesukondi lekapothe ledu”
In another instance, the producer exhibited similar behavior when dealing with executives from a digital streaming services company. Sources revealed that Producer quoted around 35 Crores for the digital rights. Executives from digital streaming firm scheduled for an inperson meeting in Hyderabad in which the director also participated. Producer was reportedly walked out of the meeting with the digital media as he was unhappy with the 21 Crores offer made by them. He wasn’t even willing to listen to the justification pointers from other party.
The producer has to realize that there are very few distributors who have big pockets to buy at the rates he is quoting and with this kind of rude behavior he is closing doors on them

KCR, KTR references in NTR biopic
The regular shooting of NTR biopic, which chronicles the life of iconic film star and politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, is progressing at a brisk pace. The biopic is made in two parts : one part narrates his glorifying journey in Tollywood, the other will focus on his inspiring raise to pinnacle in Andhra Pradesh political history.
It is reliably learnt that the second part of NTR biopic will have references of current politicians KCR and KTR apart from TDP leaders like CBN and others . In the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, KCR was an active member of Telugu Desam party and participated in various political activities. So, director Krish is planning to showcase a scene involving KCR and KTR in the second part. In this scene, NTR will get to know that KCR has named his son as Taraka Rama Rao.
While the first part is slated for release in Dusheera, the second part will release two weeks later.

NTR biopic is a prestigious and dream project for Nandamuri Balakrishna. After director Krish came on board, the biopic garnered tremendous craze among audience and trade circles. The stunning publicity strategies worked in favour of the film bigtime and triggered a solid buzz on the film. Trade circles initially offered thumping offers for theatricals in all areas. However, the recent developments seems to have caused some disadvantage for the film’s trade.
The makers of NTR biopic have recently announced that the film will release in two parts in a gap of two weeks. Buyers who came forward to snap the rights of both part have been left in a shock as the producers are quoting similar price for both parts. Those were initially willing to pay fancy price for single part are now backing out not to risk huge money on two parts as they are releasing in span of little time.
A noted Andhra distributor told Telugu360 that they are not willing to take the gamble as producers are quoting similar price for two parts. ‘As the second part entirely focusses on the political journey of NTR, it might not receive the same buzz as the first part which will have good dose commercial elements. So, paying out similar price for both parts could be very risky for buyers’ said the distributor. This the reason why the excitement among trade circles has slightly decreased. It seems like the project has lost sheen in trade circles after the announcement that it will release in two parts.
Are We Facing a Biopic Overload?
Usually, it is said that the trend of biopics was started by Bollywood. But the south Indian pride Mani Ratnam already started it with his fantastic flick Iruvar which featured the real time lives of two powerful politicians of Tamil Nadu then- MGR and Karunanidhi. Irrespective of its commercial success, the film is a masterpiece. It definitely joins the list of all the greatest films done by him. But after Iruvar, nobody took the daring step to keep this trend going. It was however Mani Ratnam again who made Guru in 2007 based on the life of industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani. After many years of its release, Bollywood started showing interest in making biopics based on popular personalities in the country.Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Dirty Picture, Mary Kom, Dhoni, Azhar, Dangal and Neerja fall in this category.
But the credit of showin the taste of biopics in Tollywood goes to Nag Ashwin. He showcased the life of Savitri in such perfection with his attempt in Mahanati this year. He also brought back the confidence that Tollywood will embrace an experimental genre like biopics. After the success of Mahanati, many movies were announced as biopics such as NTR, YSR,Lakshmi Parvati, Chandabrabu, Ghantasala ,Kantha Rao, Sobhan Babu,Pullela Gopichand and many more. However, no news on who exactly is working on this films is yet to be known fully.
Out of these, there are great expectations on NTR and YSR biopics. But the sad part is, other films are almost being in the dark. Except for using the names of popular personalities, there is no big groundwork happening for them. If any of these films fail at the Box Office, it will severely impact other films in this genre. Instead of choosing regional specific Telugu personalities, if Indian level personalities are chosen, there is a better chance of admiration at a national level. When Dangal was dubbed in Telugu , based on a north Indian wrestler Geetha Pholgat, it was admired. The same applies to Bhaag Mikha Bhag and Dhoni as well. It would be wise for Tollywood filmmakers to think on these lines and make a step.
Kalyan Ram reprises Hari Krishna in NTR biopic
Finally an actor from the Nandamuri family has got an opportunity to be part of ‘NTR’ biopic and he is hero Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.
No surprises here, he is essaying his late father Nandamuri Harikrishna who recently passed away in an accident. Kalyan Ram took it on his official Twitter handle and shared this update along with a picture.
It’s a nostalgic moment for the Nandamuri hero as about three decades back, he debuted as a child artist in Balakrishna’s ‘Bala Gopaludu’ and now he is sharing the screen space with his uncle for the first time after becoming a hero.
However, Kalyan Ram’s get up is not revealed as he is facing the other side in the photo and all we can notice is his curly hair and the early 1980s costumes.
We shall wait from the team of ‘NTR’ who is surprising the audience constantly.
Rakul Preet’s look from ‘NTR’ is revealed!
On the occasion of vivacious beauty Rakul Preet Singh’s birthday on October 10th, the makers of ‘NTR’ biopic have unveiled her look. Rakul is essaying the role of evergreen actress Sridevi in this movie.
In the poster released, Rakul Preet nearly looks like Sridevi in a designer white saree and this still is from the song ‘Aaku Chatu Pinde Tadise’ from the movie ‘Vetagadu.’ Rakul and Nandamuri Balakrishna are going to sizzle in this song while Balayya’s get up is yet to be revealed.
The shooting of this song is currently going on in Hyderabad in a specially designed set and a visual treat is anticipated. MM Keeravani is composing music for this film.
Krish is directing ‘NTR’ and it will be released in two parts i.e, ‘NTR – Kathanayakudu’ and ‘NTR – Mahanayakudu.’ The first part shows the journey of NTR in the film industry and is releasing on January 9th while the second part deals with politics which will hit the screens on January 24th.
