Ravela quits BJP, where is he heading to?

Former minister Ravela Kishore Babu had quit the BJP on Monday. He had sent his resignation letter to BJP AP unit president Somu Veerraju. He cited his family issues as the reason for his resignation.

He said he had joined the BJP expecting corruption-free governance by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, he did not say whether he was disappointed or satisfied with the Modi dispensation.

Kishore Babu entered politics in 2014 after taking VRS from the government service. He contested and won from the Prathipadu constituency on TDP ticket and became a minister in the TDP government. After the party’s defeat in the 2019 elections, he quit TDP and joined the Jana Sena.

It was a short-lived affair for him in Jana Sean and his journey took a new turn with Kishore Babu quitting the Jana Sena and joining the BJP. Before joining the Jana Sena and the BJP, Kishore Babu tried to join the BSP and tried to reach out to Mayawathi in vain.

In Jana Sena, he tried to be number two surpassing Nadendla Manohar, but could not get the recognition that he anticipated. He moved on to the BJP where he also expected a greater position. However, the BJP too could not give him or meet his expectations.

Having joined three political parties in a span of 8 years, Kishore Babu is now on the roads, not having a clear plan where he is heading to. Sources say that Kishore Babu is willing to return to the TDP and is making contacts to reach out to Chandrababu Naidu.

It is to be seen if Chandrababu Naidu would take back Kishore Babu and give him the Prathipadu Assembly ticket in the next election or ignore him!

TDP loyalists oppose Ravela’s re-entry attempts

He is currently in the BJP but is highly desperate to join the TDP. He has even met party chief Chandrababu Naidu and has requested to allow him to join the party. He is also using his friend and mentor Manda Krishna Madiga to use his influence to convince Chandrababu Naidu. He has offered to contest from Pathipadu constituency in Guntur, which currently does not have a proper leadership in the TDP.

No marks for guessing who the leader is. He is former minister and Dalit face Ravela Kishore Babu. He met Chandrababu during the recent public meeting held on the completion of the Amaravati farmers’ yatra. Ravela has been making a very serious bid to join the TDP and is meeting everyone who matters.

Ravela was largely unknown except in some Dalit circles till he was given the TDP ticket for Pattipadu in 2014. He had won and went on to become a minister. However, he soon landed in controversy over his relationship with a woman and has been removed from the ministry. Later, he joined Jana Sena , contested and lost in 2019 elections. Later, he joined the BJP. Now, he is trying to rejoin the TDP.

Meanwhile, there is strong opposition to the re-entry of Ravela Kishore Babu within the TDP. Several loyal workers are up in arms against his attempts to sneak into the TDP. Former IAS officer Ramanjaneyulu, senior leader Kandukuri Veeraiah and former ZP chief Kuchipudi Vijaya are vying for the Pattipadu ticket.They are strongly opposing Ravela’s plans to come into the TDP. The final decision is in the hands of Chandrababu Naidu.

BJP senior leader and former minister Ravela Kishore Babu asked the Amaravati farmers not to worry much about the ruling YCP’s statements on the multiple capital cities. He said that the BJP AP leaders are going to complain to Amit Shah about the thoughtless activities of CM Jaganmohan Reddy that will crush not just capital but the entire state. Ravela said that Jagan Reddy is very much afraid of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for obvious reasons. Shah will be informed about the splitting up of Andhra Capital into three capital cities.

Ravela said that the BJP is totally opposed to the shifting of the Capital City out of Amaravati. Nobody would allow if Jaganmohan Reddy does injustice to the farmers. If YSR son wants to crush the TDP leaders and Chandrababu Naidu, he should confront them politically but not like this. Political harassment of farmers and local people is not acceptable. Ravela said that the BJP national leadership will not accept this kind of crippling of the capital and the state. Modi-Shah are always for positive development but not political vendetta and narrow mindedness.

Ravela Kishore explain reasons for leaving Janasena

Ravela Kishore, who left Janasena party recently, today explained the reasons for leaving Janasena party. He joined BJP in the presence of Kanna Lakshmi Narayana and after that he spoke to media.

Ravela Kishore told that he joined Janasena by seeing Pawan Kalyan’s ideals and aspirations for the society but he later understood that ideals can not solve the problems of people but the political power only can solve all such issues. When media reporters asked about Pawan giving him lot of importance, Ravela replied that, the reality was completely different and Pawan never sought any political advice from him. Couple of months back, when Pawan joined Ravela Kishore Babu into his party, he became very emotional and was almost in tears. After that, Ravela shared dais with Pawan on many occasions. Even though Pawan gave him prominence in his party, he couldn’t win the election, like all other leaders in this party.

However, Political analysts are pointing different reasons for Ravela joining BJP. They are opining that – Sucharitha, who won against him became home minister now and she may suppress her political rival Ravela and that could be reason for him to join BJP. In fact, many politicians belonging to other parties in the state are fearing vengeance by YSRCP leaders. They are also of opinion that, Jagan and YSRCP can never dare to touch even the hair of BJP leaders and so most of the leaders are queuing to BJP to avoid any harassment from YSRCP leaders. Probably, Ravela also joined BJP for the same reasons.

Ravela comes in touch with BJP ?

Ravela Kishore Babu, former minister in TDP government and janasena leader resigned to janasena party today citing personal reasons. His decision of resigning to the party came immediately after his rival in the constituency Mekapati Sucharitha becoming home minister for the state of Andhra Pradesh. As per the latest reports, he came in touch with BJP leaders through another BJP leader from Guntur district.

Most of the leaders in Andhra Pradesh are coming in touch with BJP bigwigs, so as to avoid any sort of harassment or vengeance from their rivals in ruling YSRCP. Recently there was news about JC brothers joining BJP soon. Many other leaders from TDP and janasena also are looking towards BJP now as they are of the opinion that only BJP can save them at this moment as Jagan and other YSRCP leaders cannot dare to rub on the wrong side with BJP. It looks like these leaders are considering BJP party as a safe shelter for them from their rivals in YSRCP, who have the strength of government now.

Ravela Kishore Babu seems to be following similar path. We will have to wait and see if YSRCP leaders will fight their political rivals even after they join BJP.

Ravela Kishore Babu, a senior SC leader and former minister, resigned from the Jana Sena party. He was defeated by Minister Sucharita Mekathoti in Prathipadu assembly segment in Guntur district. He asked Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan to accept his resignation at the earliest.

Though he gave personal reasons for his resignation, there’s speculation that he is unhappy with the leadership. Many Hana Sena second rung leaders are also saying goodbye in Prathipadu. Ravela’s resignation came at a very difficult time for Jana Senani who is now trying hard to overcome the crisis.

There’s also frustration among many leaders over the party ending up in a disaster. Pawan is talking of beginning the part’s rebuilding from one MLA but the rival parties may not give scope for him with their competitive political game plans.

Manda Krishna extends support to Ravela Kishore Babu

Manda Krishna, who fought for SC categorization in Andhra Pradesh, extended his support to janasena MLA candidate Ravela Kishore Babu. Manda Krishna lambasted Chandra Babu for applying lose-lose strategy on Ravela Kishore Babu.

It is known news that, in 2014 elections Ravela Kishore Babu contested from TDP and became minister in Chandrababu Naidu cabinet. But later he was removed from the ministry. Also TDP cadres insulted Kishore Babu. So he resigned to his MLA post and joined janasena party. Now , from the same prathipadu constituency , he is contesting again on janasena ticket. Chandrababu Naidu is fielding Dokka Manikya Varaprasad from this constituency. YSR CP is fielding Sucharitha again.

Manda Krishna responded on the politics of his constituency and told that he will be supporting Ravela Kishore Babu. He added that, Kishore Babu belongs to Madiga community, Ysrcp candidate sucharitha belongs to Mala community and in 2014, irrespective of parties, all madiga voters voted for Kishore Babu while all Mala voted for Sucharitha. Still kishor Babu won the election only with 7000 votes. Now in 2019, Chandrababu intentionally fielding manikya varaprasad who is also from Madiga community here so that the votes of this community will be split between TDP and Janasena and Kishore Babu will lose. Manda Krishna allegated that chandrababu is ready to have YSR CP candidate win from here but not Ravela Kishore Babu as Kishore Babu will question Chandrababu Naidu in assembly, if he wins.

We will have to wait and see whether Manda Krishna support will help Ravela Kishore Babu.

TDP MLA and former minister Ravela Kishore Babu gave a shocker to TDP as he quit the party yesterday. He not only resigned to his MLA post but also resigned to primary membership of the Telugu Desam party. He submitted his resignation in the Speaker’s office. He was representing Prattipadu Assembly constituency in Guntur district. He joined into Janasena today in the presence of Pawan Kalyan. Pawan, Nadendla, and Ravela had convened press meet today.

Nadendla and Bala Raju appreciated Ravela for setting a new trend:

Nadendala Manohar spoke high about Ravela and told that he has set a new trend by first resigning to MLA post before joining another party. He added that, Ravela had been influenced by Ambedkar’s ideology since childhood. He also told, TDP has humiliated him despite he served the party with his best efforts and he personally knows how TDP insulted him on several occasions. Another former MLA Pasupuleti Bala Raju also spoke that, nowadays politicians are not willing to resign even one day before the expiry of their term for any post they are holding, but Ravela Kishore set a good trend that he first resigned to MLA post and then joined Janasena.

Ravela told he was humiliated a lot in TDP:

Ravela Kishore told that, he is inspired by Pawan Kalyan’s ideology and his fights against ruling party’s mockery of democracy in the state. He told he has grown up studying Ambedkar and Phule’s ideologies. He told, Bala Raju, who joined recently into Janasena is best friend of him and Nadendla took him to Pawan and helped him join the party. He added that, he put his best efforts while serving as minister and he toiled hard to take schems of government to people. However, he added, TDP has humiliated him and he can’t work where his self-respect is hurt. He told, Pawan Kalyan is fighting for downtrodden people and thats why he joined the party. He went on to say Pawan Kalyan is Periyar and Kanshi Ram of this generation.

Unity of castes is Janasena Principle, says Pawan

Later Pawan Kalyan spoke and he welcomed Ravela Kishore Babu into the party. He told that he knows social movements in which Ravela participated in. He also added that, Janasena’s principle is to unite all castes. He told that,already we lost a lot by losing Telangana and we if we don’t unite all castes in the state, there will be caste movements in the state and that is not good for AP. He countered Chandra Babu’s statement that “Nobody wants to be born as SC” and told, if possible he wants to be born as SC. He also told that AP CM Chandra Babu doesn’t have any control on his MLAs .

Overall, it seems Pawan intentionally joined Ravela into the party to avoid caste tag for the party. He is surrounding himself with leaders from various castes like Nadendala (Kamma), Bala raju (ST) and now Ravela (SC).

TDP MLA Ravela resigns, to join Jana Sena

TDP MLA Ravela Kishore Babu resigned from the TDP primary membership. He is all set to join the Jana Sena party on December 1. Elaborate plans are being made by his followers to join Jana Sena amid fanfare.

Kishore Babu has taken the decision after he is hopeful of getting the Jana Sena party ticket to contest the the 2019 assembly elections. He is expecting ticket for either Prathipadu or Tadikonda assembly segments.

Kishore Babu has fallen out of favour with the TDP leadership and he eventually lost his ministership as well. Later, he distanced himself from the TDP party activities and began efforts for joining YSR Congress. His efforts to get assurance for YCP ticket did get good response. Afterwards, Ravela got in touch with the Jana Sena leaders.

It’s not yet known whether the Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan has given any promise to him. Kishore Babu followers are saying their leader will contest in next election on Jana Sena ticket.

This is in tune the latest stand of Pawan Kalyan to give party tickets only for those who have ample chances to win the election or who can give a tough fight.

KCR blocking Andhra bound investors: Ravela

Opening a new front in the on going  war of words with Telangana, Andhra Pradesh welfare minister Ravela Kishore Babu accused Telangana chief minister of creating hurdles to  the flow of investments to his state.

He said the Telangana chief minister KCR was sending mails to the prospective investors against investing in Andhra Pradesh stating that AP’s financial situation was not good and AP was not a suitable location to  set up new units.

Kishore Babu, a vocal minister in Andhra Pradesh cabinet, said jealous about the global response to the effort s AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s, KCR was trying to prevent the investors by spreading canards about the  state finances.

“The TRS government in Telangana is hell bent on scuttling  progress of new Andhra Pradesh which is reemerging a powerful economy after the bifurcation. So, the TS government is trying to persuade some investors against choosing to invest in AP,” Ravela alleged.

He said the Andhra Pradesh government had enough evidence to prove that KCR was trying to scuttle the investors from making Andhra Pradesh their destination and added the the T-chief minister would get disappointed.
