Gopichand’s Seetimaarr holds well

Manly Star Gopichand has been struggling for success and the actor had all his hopes on Seetimaarr, a mass entertainer that is directed by Sampath Nandi. The film released on the eve of Vinayaka Chavithi and opened with a bang. Despite the mixed reviews, Seetimaarr raked decent numbers on its opening day. The movie continued to hold well on its second day and it posted decent numbers. Seetimaarr is expected to have a decent weekend at the box-office. If the film holds well on the weekdays, Seetimaarr will leave the buyers and makers in decent profits.

The opening numbers of Seetimaarr also gave a major boost for Tollywood. Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story is announced for release on September 24th and it will be followed by a bunch of releases in October. Republic, Kondapolam, Most Eligible Bachelor, Maha Samudram, Varudu Kavalenu and Rowdy Boys are the films that will release during the Dasara holiday season.

Manly Star Gopichand is yet to taste success and all his recent offerings ended up as flops. The actor will be seen in Seetimaar, a sports drama that is laced with action. Sampath Nandi is the director and Tamannaah is the leading lady. As per the reports coming, the film’s release is postponed from April 2nd and the new release date will be announced soon. Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog and Kaarthi’s Sulthan are releasing on April 2nd as per the plan.

There are talks that the distributors of Seetimaar are mounting pressure to avoid clash and get Seetimaar a comfortable, solo release. It is then the makers decided to push the release of Seetimaar. Srinivasaa Chitturi is the producer and Manisharma is the music director. The post-production work of Seetimaar reached the final stages.

As a part of promotions, the movie team has announced some interesting news for girls! The team is running a contest and the participants will have a chance to meet Gopichand, Tamannaah, and the movie team. All you have to do is to record a video performing ‘Thigh-Fi’ and post it across social media with the hashtag #SEETIMARCONTEST.

Directed by Sampath Nandi, Seetimaarr has Manisharma’s music. Soundarrajan is cranking the camera while Srinivasa Chitturi on Srinivasaa Silver Screen is producing the film. Seetimaarr also stars Bhumika Chawla, Rahman, Tarun Arora, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani, Preethi Asrani, Posani Krishna Murali and others in supporting roles.

Zee5 seals one more Tollywood deal

Top tv channel Zee Studios acquired the final copy of Solo Brathuke So Better and they released the film in theatres. Solo Brathuke So Better is expected to make decent revenues in its final run and Zee Studios is quite happy with the deal. They have closed the other deals and the film will stream on their digital platform Zee5. The digital giant closed some more deals in Tollywood already. Zee Studios acquired the complete rights of Nani’s Ante Sundaraniki and Sai Dharam Tej’s Republic which will release next year.

Going with the current news, Zee Studios acquired the complete rights of Gopichand’s upcoming movie Seetimaar which is a sports drama. Sampath Nandi is the director and the shoot of the film is in final stages. Tamannaah is the leading lady and Sri Srinivasaa Silver Screens are the producers. Zee Studios acquired the copyrights of Seetimaar for an undisclosed price. The deal is closed recently and an official announcement will be made soon.

Why is Harish Shankar in a Hurry?

Talented director Harish Shankar has been in news last year for his unusual comments on critics after his recent outing Duvvada Jagannadham received poor reviews from the critics. It has been almost a year and the ace director is yet to start his next film which has been titled Daagudu Moothalu. After a long search, Sharwanand and Nithiin have been roped in for the lead roles and the female leads are being finalized. If things fall in place, the regular shoot kick-starts during the second half of this year.

Without his next project rolling, the ace director in a hurry stepped out with an official announcement about his next project and titled it Seetimaar. A source close to the director revealed that young director Sampath Nandi is in plans to register the title Seetimaar because of which Harish had to rush. With no script and actor on board, just an announcement has been made as of now. Harish is said to spend time on the script after he wraps up all his work for Daagudu Moothalu. Harish’s close friend Krishna will bankroll this project and Harish revealed that a top actor who is currently in success streak will play the lead role.
