Buzz: Mahesh Babu in plans for Superstar Award

Superstar Krishna garu passed away and the family completed all the rituals and he was laid to rest in peace. Fans rushed in lakhs to pay their last respects and Mahesh Babu thanked them for their immense love and support. There are strong talks that the family has been in plans for Krishna Memorial and the discussions are going on from some time. Mahesh Babu is in plans to celebrate Krishna’s birthday in a grand manner every year through Superstar Awards. He is in plans to felicitate the Tollywood talent every year through Superstar Awards.

In the past, NTR and ANR Awards were given for Tollywood celebrities but they got vanished. The Nandi awards too are not regular and ANR Award got discontinued after the demise of the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu. But Mahesh Babu is keen to take up Superstar Award and continue it. We have to wait to see how it would materialize.

Ghattmanenis in plans for a Krishna Memorial

Legendary Tollywood actor Superstar Krishna garu passed away recently after he suffered a heart attack. The entire film fraternity and his fans rushed to his residence to offer the last respects for the veteran actor. His family members are said to have been left in a deep shock with his sudden demise. The last rites of Krishna garu are held with state honours last evening and his family had to bid a good bye for one of the greatest actors of Telugu cinema. Superstar Mahesh Babu is completely shattered with the loss of his family members. The Ghattamaneni family members are in plans to establish a memorial for Krishna garu.

It is quite early to discuss about what is the plan but Mahesh Babu seems to have been planning big. A memorial will be built after the location will be finalized. Mahesh is also keen to keep all the awards and achievements of Krishna garu in display. His team is chalking out plans for the same. Mahesh Babu will stay away from work for the next two weeks till he completes all the formalities and rituals of Krishna garu.

Hundreds of fans pay last respects to veteran Tollywood actor Krishna

Hundreds of fans, top political leaders of Telugu states and Tollywood personalities paid last respects to veteran actor Krishna here on Wednesday.

People queued up at Padmalaya Studio to see the superstar for time and pay their last respects.

Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and leaders cutting across party lines paid their respects to Krishna, who passed away early on Tuesday at a hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment following a cardiac arrest. He was 79.

Fans descended on Padmalaya Studio in large numbers to catch the last glimpse of the actor, who acted in about 350 films in a career spanning over five decades.

Telangana Governor and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister consoled Krishna’s son and popular actor Mahesh Babu, son-in-law and MP Galla Jayadev and other family members.

Krishna’s last rites will be performed with state honours later in the day at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills.

Tamilisai told reporters that Krishna’s service to the film industry will always be remembered. “Looking at the large number of fans who have turned out here, I could see the pulse of people,” she said.

Andhra Pradesh tourism minister and former actor Roja, actors Jayaprada, Balakrishna, Kota Srinivas Rao, filmmaker Allu Arvind and others paid their respects.

Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy or Krishna was born on May 31, 1942, at Burripalem in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. He debuted as the lead actor with the 1965 movie ‘Thene Manasulu’.

Jagan to pay tribute to Krishna in Hyderabad

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would pay his tributes to superstar Krishna in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The chief minister would leave his camp office at Tadepalli in the morning and reach Hyderabad by 12 noon.

The chief minister would visit the body of Krishna at his house and pay his tributes. He would also meet the family members of the legendary actor and console them. Later, he would return to his camp office at Tadepalli.

Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan paid tributes to Krishna on the demise of the actor. He said that Krishna, who acted in over 350 films, had become a household name in the Telugu states for the past five decades. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.

Deputy chief minister Kottu Satyanarayana, Minister for Education Botsa Satyanarayana, several other ministers of the state government have also paid tributes to Krishna and conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved family members.

TDP chief and leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu also paid rich tributes to actor Krishna. The TDP chief visited the body of Krishna at his residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday and consoled the bereaved family members.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, who is currently in Hyderabad also visited Krishna’s house this morning and met the bereaved family members. He shared his grief with actor Mahesh Babu and conveyed his sympathies to the family members.

AP Congress president and former minister Sake Sailajanath also paid rich tributes to the late actor, who was the Congress MP for one term. Krishna had won from the Eluru Lok Sabha Constituency in 1989 as the Congress member and was close to late Rajiv Gandhi.

Unbearable loss for the Ghattamanenis

Tollywood’s legendary actor Superstar Krishna garu who has been a trendsetter breathed his last this morning. The entire family is left in shock by his sudden demise. The entire Ghattamaneni family is left shattered as they lost their third family member this year. 2022 cannot be worse than this for them. Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu passed away early this year due to prolonged health issues. Krishna’s wife Indira Devi passed away in September and soon Krishna garu is no more. The entire Tollywood rushed to the Nanakramguda residence of Krishna to offer their last respects.

His mortal remains will be placed in Gachibowli stadium this evening till tomorrow morning. After completing all the formalities, the last rites of Krishna garu will be held with state honors tomorrow in Mahaprasthanam. Mahesh Babu is personally monitoring all the work. Legendary Tollywood actor Superstar Krishna garu who has been apart of several super hit films of Telugu cinema passed away during the early hours of Tuesday due to health related issues. The veteran actor breathed his last in Continental Hospitals after he got admitted due to a massive heart attack during the early hours of Monday. Krishna garu suffered multiple organ failure yesterday. This is a huge loss for Ghattamaneni family as Mahesh Babu’s mother Indira Devi passed away a month ago.

Mahesh Babu also lost his brother Ramesh Babu early this year. The family is left in a lot of stress with back to back losses. Rest in peace Superstar Krishna garu who has been a trendsetter for several genres in Tollywood. You will be missed sir.

Veteran actor Krishna hospitalised, condition critical

Veteran Tollywood actor Krishna was hospitalised after he suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday.

Doctors at Continental Hospital said that his condition is critical but somewhat stable. The next 24 hours will be critical, Hospital Managing Director Guru N. Reddy.

The actor is undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit and is on a ventilator, doctors said.

They said that Krishna, father of popular actor Mahesh Babu, was brought to Continental Hospital in Gachibowli around 2 a.m. in an unconscious state after he suffered a cardiac arrest.

“The cardiologists immediately performed CPR and in 20 minutes he was brought out of cardiac arrest,” Reddy said.

A team of doctors including cardiologists and critical care specialists were keeping a close watch on his condition.

The doctors made it clear that they can’t say anything about the outcome for next 24 hours or 48 hours.

All close family members of the veteran actor rushed to the hospital.

The veteran actor, whose full name is Ghattamnaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, turned 79 in May this year.

The superstar of yesteryears was reported to be depressed since the death of his wife Indira Devi in September. In January, he lost his elder son Ramesh Babu.

As the word spread about Krishna’s hospitalisation, messages poured in from all over for his speedy recovery.

In a career spanning five decades, Krishna acted in more than 350 films. In 2009, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions to Indian cinema.
