TDP MP K Rammohan Naidu argued in the Lok Sabha that the Centre is giving preferential treatment in favour of the BJP-ruled states while states like Andhra are being totally ignored. He said that while the unjustly divided Andhra has got literally nothing in this Budget, the Modi government has given Gift City this time to Gujarat which has already seen a lot of development. He asked whether the development of New India means the development of Gujarat alone.
Now, the Centre has proposed special tax concessions and incentives under Gujarat International Finance Service Centre. It’s Andhra which deserves and requires such schemes of tax incentives to attract industrialists. Rammohan took strong objection to the manner in which Andhra is being ignored.
