TANA’s flagship conference is scheduled to happen from May 26th to May 28th in America’s Center, St. Louis. As with every TANA conference, 2017 Conference is already rife with internal struggles on organization of this conference. There were a number of allegations on financial misappropriations in 2015 conference at Detroit.
For organizing 2017 conference, current President selected three local organization members as Convener, Treasurer and Web Chair. However, there is lot of resentment on these appointments. Telugu360 is in possession of emails expressing dissent at the behavior of the conference convener. There were allegations that the Convener didn’t organize TANA Kickoff conference on Nov 5th as per the expectations and the kickoff meeting lacked any excitement. As per emails reviewed, there were requests for dismissal of the current convener.
TANA President and President-elect decided to stand by the current convener and asked the web chair who initially raised these issues to resign. So of the three people appointed for the conference, two others except the convener had been let go. It is a pity that organizations such as TANA wash dirty lenin in public
