The trailer of Kuberaa was unveiled today in a grand pre-release event, drawing massive number of fans. The event had a star-studded lineup, with ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli joining as the chief guest.
Rajamouli, who launched the trailer shared his deep admiration for director Sekhar Kammula. “Sekhar might come across as soft-spoken, but he is one of the most stubborn people I’ve met. He stands by his principles, even in the face of pressure,” Rajamouli said. “When I saw the Kuberaa trance teaser, I was blown away. With Nagarjuna portraying the ultra-rich and Dhanush representing the other end of the spectrum, I’m genuinely curious to see how Sekhar has brought these two contrasting worlds together.”
Sekhar Kammula described the film as deeply personal. “This story is like a mother’s love, equal and unconditional. Rich or poor, every character is treated with empathy. I believe even Goddess Saraswati would watch this film with pride.”
Nagarjuna, who plays a powerful, wealthy character, praised Sekhar for pushing creative boundaries. “This film is not mine, not Dhanush’s, not Rashmika’s. This is Sekhar’s film. He pulled all of us out of our comfort zones. He’s the real hero of Kuberaa.”
Dhanush, who plays a beggar in the film, said he felt privileged to be part of the project. “Sekhar told me this story even before I signed Sir. He chases butterflies in a world obsessed with box office numbers. His vision is rare. I’m grateful to be part of it.” He also took a moment to thank his father on Father’s Day, crediting him for his journey.
