June is usually a dull season for films. This summer has been extremely dry in Tollywood except for a few impressive ones. June is gearing up for the release of a series of big-budget movies. Several pan-Indian films are heading for release in June and the release dates are sealed well in advance. Here is the list:

Thug Life: Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life is slated for June 5th release. The film marks the collaboration of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after decades. The film is one of the most anticipated films. Simbu, Trisha Krishnan, Sanya Malhotra, Abhirami, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George will be seen in other important roles. AR Rahman scores the music and background score for this action thriller.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Pawan Kalyan’s long delayed film Hari Hara Veera Mallu is finally gearing up for June release. Amazon Prime has proposed a June 13th release for the film and an official announcement will be made soon. This is a pan-Indian release for Pawan Kalyan. Jyoti Krishna is the director and AM Rathnam is the producer of this periodic drama.

Kuberaa: Tamil actor Dhanush is working with Tollywood’s sensible director Sekhar Kammula. The film is said to be an action thriller and is a pan-Indian attempt. Nagarjuna will be seen in an important role and the film releases on June 20th. Asian Cinemas are the producers.

Sitaare Zameen Par: Aamir Khan has backed an interesting attempt Sitaare Zameen Par. The film directed by RS Prasanna and Sitaare Zameen Par is gearing up for a June 20th release. The trailer is impressive and Aamir Khan plays the lead role. Aamir Khan Productions are the producers of this interesting attempt and it will be released in all the regional languages along with Hindi.

Apart from these, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5, Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa are the other big releases in the month of June.
