The makers are yet to get a complete clarity about the release of Akhanda 2. EROS International is in no-compromise mode and the court hearing will take place today. The makers are ready to pay the dues and clear the legal battles. The distributors and financiers have suggested to clear the legal hurdles with EROS and then decide the release date of the film. If the EROS issue is closed, the film will have no major hurdles as per the makers.

Tollywood speculated that the distributors have met yesterday to finalize the release date but it is untrue. Top producer and distributor Dil Raju is in touch with the makers and he is co-ordinating with the distributors. Balakrishna and Boyapati assured to reduce their pay and support the makers. There are lot of ongoing speculations on social media that Akhanda 2 will release on December 12th. The makers will take a call after the issues are sorted. For now, they are now focused on legal issues with EROS. Netflix has suggested a Christmas release for the film. More details about Akhanda 2 are expected in the next two days.
