Tollywood director Maruthi has delivered hits and flops in his career but his films never went over the budget and they were wrapped up in the planned time, budgets and schedules. All his films were profitable projects for his producers. Tollywood was surprised after the combo of Prabhas and Maruthi was announced and the film was in the making for over three years. The film got delayed due to the commitments of Prabhas and there were long gaps between the schedules.

Massive sets were constructed and the budget got heaped up because of the long wait. Maruthi could not have control on the budget of Raja Saab because of the working style of Prabhas. The top actor had to juggle between the sets of other films. The schedules were finalized at the last minute and Maruthi could not utilize his complete potential and strengths for Raja Saab. Big remunerations and long delays also heaped up the interests as big money was borrowed for the film. Raja Saab is a horror comedy and the shoot can be wrapped up in quick schedules and in planned time. But things have been extremely opposite for Raja Saab.

Maruthi who is a master in crafting a project on time had to change his track for Prabhas. Raja Saab releases on January 9th, 2026 across the globe in theatres. People Media Factory are the producers.
