Having made a promising debut with ‘Malli Raava’ last year, filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri has got the nod of Nani for his second project. While announcement regarding the same was made by the production house on Thursday, there’ve been reports which indicated the film is purely a love story, which, according to our sources, is not true.
“It’s a sports drama where Nani will be seen in the role of a cricketer. He will be prepping for the part. Gowtam has been working on the script for the past six months and when he pitched it across to the actor who has been longing for a script with a difference, it was an instant yes. The film will most likely roll from September by which time Nani will be relieved of his present commitments which includes Bigg Boss season 2 and an untitled film with Aswini Dutt. The idea is to wrap it in a start-to-finish schedule,” confirmed a source close to the production house Sithara Entertainments.
