Is KCR trying to confirm ‘differences’ with Chinna Jeeyar Swamy?

Barely 24 hours after Chinna Jeeyar Swamy categorically stated in a press conference on Saturday that he had no ‘differences’ with Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao, the developments that unfolded on Sunday (today) clearly indicate that there are ‘differences’ between KCR and Chinna Jeeyar Swamy.

KCR, a staunch follower and disciple of Chinna Jeeyar Swamy has been avoiding visiting his ashram since Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in his ashram on February 5.

Jeeyar Swamy and My Home Rameshwar Rao, both known as close aides of KCR, are repeatedly sending invitations to KCR to take part in various religious rituals being held at ashram near Shamshabad international airport but KCR is skipping all those rituals.

Jeeyar Swamy on Saturday claimed that they have invited KCR again for taking part in Kalyan Mahotsavams in 108 temples in the ashram on Sunday, KCR did not turn up after keeping them waiting for hours.

This fuelled speculations in political circles that KCR is trying to convey a message to all that he indeed is angry at Jeeyar Swamy for comparing PM Modi with “Lord Rama” in his speech on February 5 and for that reason he is avoiding visiting his ashram repeatedly after February 5 despite Jeeyar Swamy claiming that all is well between him and KCR.

The TRS and BJP have been engaged in a political slugfest in Telangana since Huzurabad Assembly bypoll in 2021. This intensified further after TRS lost to BJP in Huzurabad bypoll in November 2021.

Since then, TRS president, Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao has declared an all-out war against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre.

KCR held dharnas and rallies against Modi government’s decision not to procure paddy from Telangana in rabi season. KCR, his son KTR, other ministers in KCR cabinet and TRS leaders are attacking Modi and BJP government at the Centre accusing them of discriminating Telangana in the sanction of funds and projects.

KCR did not meet Modi after Huzurabad bypoll defeat. KCR has also skipped meetings convened by Modi with CMs of all States through video conferences to discuss Covid situation and on funds to backward districts in January recently.

But Modi and KCR are going to share the dais soon. Modi is visiting Hyderabad on February 5 to unveil the statue of Ramanuja Charya.

The credit of bringing KCR and Modi together goes to seer Chinna Jeeyar Swamy who has set up a 216-feet tall statue of Ramanuja Charya at his ashram in Munchintal on Hyderabad city outskirts near Shamshabad.

Jeeyar Swamy personally invited Modi to unveil this “Statue of Equality” and Modi readily agreed. He has also invited KCR and KCR is bound to come as he cannot avoid it being a great disciple of Jeeyar Swamy.

Mallu Bhatti meets Chinna Jeeyar, what’s up?

Telangana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday met seer Chinna Jeeyar Swamy along with his family members. Bhatti’s visit to Jeeyar’s ashram near Shamshabad all of a sudden created a buzz in political circles.

This is because Jeeyar Swamy is known to be very close to TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister KCR.

KCR visited Swamy’s ashram only three days ago. Bhatti visiting soon after raised eyebrows.

Although Bhatti later claimed that he visited ashram only to seek his blessings and know about soon to be unveiled one of largest statues in the world of Ramanuja Charya in his ashram in February by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it did not douse the political speculations.

The reason Bhatti never visited or met Jeeyar Swamy in recent times. There is already rumours doing rounds in Telangana Congress that Bhatti is moving closer to KCR after Revanth Reddy was appointed as TPCC chief.

Bhatti is reportedly angry at Revanth’s appointment as TPCC chief who is very junior to him in Congress and is planning to quit Congress anytime to join TRS.

KCR too selected Bhatti’s constituency Madhira to implement Dalit Bandhu scheme on a pilot basis before March, the only opposition MLA to get this scheme.

Against this backdrop, Bhatti meeting Jeeyar Swamy became a hot debate in political circles.

Seer Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and My Home group chairman Jupally Rameshwar Rao met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy all of a sudden on Saturday (today).

Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and Rameshwar Rao went to Jagan’s official residence in Tadepalli.

Jagan too gave them an appointment immediately to meet him at around 9 am on Saturday.

Three of them were closeted for over half-an-hour.

After meeting Jagan, seer Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and Rameshwar Rao stated that they met Jagan to invite him to attend the launching of ‘Statue of Equality” of Ramanuja Charya in February 2022 at Chinnajeeyar Swamy’s ashram at Muchintal village near Shamshabad airport in Hyderabad.

They told that they have already invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union ministers, Telangana CM KCR and several other top leaders for the event and as part of this they invited AP CM Jagan also.

They said Jagan agreed to attend the event without fail.

Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and Rameshwar Rao are known to be very close to KCR.

Both of them meeting Jagan fuelled political speculations at a time when AP’s political atmosphere has heated up due to TDP chief N.Chandrababu Naidu breaking down and weeping in press conference on Friday and declaring to boycott Assembly and re-enter Assembly only after he becomes CM.

Modi to fulfill KCR and Chinna Jeeyar Swamy’s wish!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to fulfill the wish of both Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao and Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy by visiting Telangana in New Year 2022.

Jeeyar Swamy invited Modi to unveil ‘Statue of Equality’ of Bhagavad Ramanuja in his ashram in Muchintal village near Shamshabad on Hyderabad city outskirts on February 5, 2022.

In fact, Jeeyar Swamy along with My Home Group chairman Jupally Rameshwar Rao, both are considered very close to KCR, met Modi in Delhi on September 20 and invited him to unveil tallest statue of Ramanuja.

The PM readily agree and promised to attend the event without fail.

KCR also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 3 and invited him to attend the inaugural function of renovate Yadadri temple.

KCR announced to inaugurate Yadadri temple on March 28, 2022. Modi promised to attend the event without fail.

While Rs 216 crore was spent to make and install tallest statue of Ramanuja of 216-ft in 40 acres, Yadadri temple was renovated at a cost of Rs 1,200 crore.

Both these projects will be a major boost to Telangana and the Modi’s visit will further enhance the recognition and reputation of Telangana at global level.

China Jeeyar demands Govt approval for Anandaiah

Finally, the Hindu religious seers are also entering the scene to argue in favour of the Anandaiah ayurvedic medicine. In his latest appeal, China Jeeyar Swamiji has appealed to the Government to stop creating any further hurdles to the administering of the Coronavirus eye drops by Anandaiah.

The Swamiji asked where was the dispute when the Anandaiah medicine was giving good results and saving the lives of the patients. The rulers should accept the good that was happening regardless of the persons who were doing that. Why were the new protocols were suddenly brought in to obstruct the medicine?

China Jeeyar told the YCP Government that it was not correct to create controversies out of nothing during the difficult time of the pandemic. All the people were suffering. At such a time, the rulers should think of solving their problems but not creating more problems. The Hindu society had firm beliefs in ayurvedic medicine. However, it had welcomed and accepted the English medicine as well. This kind of accommodation should be there.

The Swamiji deplored that the present situation in AP was creating fears. One should give courage to the Corona patients but not demotivate them in this crucial time.

Whom is Jagan trying to appease?

Andhra Pradesh leaders of various parties have several times in the past, tried to make an issue out of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s religious faith and the secular nature of YSR Congress party. When Congress tried to attack on Jagan’s faith in 2012, it backfired.

However, the YSRCP president meeting Chinna Jeeyar Swami at Hyderabad is being probed in various angles. This is not the first time that Jagan has visited Hindu shrines or Godmen. After 2014 elections, there has been a dramatic change in Jagan and his family’s religious believes. Even in his Nandyal campaign, the opposition leader made references to religious epics.

Why is he trying to invoke divine help from of Hindu Gods? Is Jagan trying to shrug off the communal and caste angle? Is it only to gain political mileage for appeasing the majoritarians? Is it because of his latest affinity towards BJP? Is he taking a leaf out of KCR’s beliefs which he dons to have helped realize his dreams? Is it something beyond that?

Nonetheless, it is good to keep such visits away from the media gaze, and would be even better if Jagan once for all speaks about his beliefs. When Chandrababu Naidu or any other leader visits shrines of various faith and talks to the godmen, not much is spoken or written about.

However, the reactions to Jagan’s inclination towards Hinduism, exposes the pretense among other parties of being secular. Nonetheless, he like any other citizen is shielded by Indian constitution which grants the right to freely profess, practice, and propagate religion subject to public order.
