Jana Sena corporator’s open challenge to YSRCP MP

0

Jana Sena party corporator from the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation gave an open challenge to local MP on Thursday on the development of Visakhapatnam. The GVMC 22 division corporator, Murthy Yadav, told media persons that the MP had developed his own real estate ventures and not the Visakhapatnam city or the Lok Sabha constituency.

Murthy Yadav said that he had developed his 22nd division better than the MP in the last four years. He dared MP M V V Satyanarayana to come for an open debate with him on the development of the greater Visakhapatnam.

He also said that he would take the MP along with him in the division and show him the development he had done so far. He dared the MP to take him along with him to any place in the Lok Sabha constituency and show him the development he had done in the last four years.

The Jana Sena corporator alleged that the MP had laid roads around the MVV Ventures around Visakhapatnam. The new roads laid around Mallayapalem and MVV City also show as clear examples of how the MP had worked for his own properties and ventures rather than the city.

He alleged that the MP had also grabbed 10 acres of land belonging to Hayagreeva to establish an old age home. He said that the MP had grabbed the Christian minorities lands including the controversial CBCMC lands.

Sujana Chowdary says BJP will go with Jana Sena in AP

1

BJP senior leader and former Union minister Y S Chowdary, popularly known as Sujana Chowdary, said that the BJP and the Jana Sena alliance would continue in the next general elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Interacting with the media persons in Vijayawada on Thursday, Sujana Chowdary said that the BJP and the Jana Sena have a healthy alliance and the two parties would go together in the election. However, he did not say anything about the possible alliance with the TDP.

He further said that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is in contact with the BJP top leaders. He also recalled that Pawan Kalyan had met several national leaders of the BJP in Delhi in the recent past. The relationship between the two parties is strong enough to win the elections, Sujana Chowdary asserted.

The BJP leader blamed the state government for not utilising the funds given by the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. He said that the BJP-led government had fulfilled all the promises that were made at the time of bifurcation. Several institutions were given to the state and the road network was strengthened and improved, he said.

Sujana Chowdary also said that the Central government had given funds for development of new capital for the residuary state. However, this government had failed to utilise those funds and have a new capital. He found fault with the government for not developing Amaravati as the capital city.

He further said that the government had failed to develop the state. The state had gone back several years in the last four years of misrule, he added. He appealed to the people to send this incapable government out of power in the next elections.

Pawan’s statement: Fans disappointed but common voters welcomed

0
Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan made key comments on alliances today. While some of the diehard fans of Pawan disappointed with Pawan’s statements, most of the common voters seem to be welcoming his statements. Details as follows
Pawan’s statement:
Pawan confirmed today that there will definitely be alliances in the next elections. In today’s press meet, he said that discussions were held on the same topic during his Delhi tour as well. He added that his earlier statement about consolidating anti-vote of YSRCP was well deliberated. He also clarified that Janasena will contest in the elections according to the strength of the party. However, Pawan Kalyan added a key statement that he does not aspire for the post of CM and he cannot compel other parties joining the alliance to announce him as CM candidate of the alliance. He defended his statement by saying that parties like TRS also got strengthened earlier due to this kind of alliances.
Fans disappointed:
Pawan’s statement of no aspirations on CM post disappointed his diehard fans. In fact during 2020-2021, Janasena fought vehemently with ruling YSRCP. During the
local elections, TDP leaders like Chintamaneni Prabhakar also commented that Janasena fans are fighting with YSRCP better than TDP cadre. At some point, AP
politics turned as Jagan vs Pawan. This Pawan mania reached its peak during his Vizag tour when Jagan’s government house-arrested Pawan. But exactly at the same time, CBN entered the scene to express his solidarity to Pawan and for some reasons that gave huge boost to TDP. Until then JSP fans were wishing that Pawan should go to the elections alone and test his strength. But sensing Pawan’s mood to ally with TDP, JSP fans later started social media campaign that there must be power sharing agreement with TDP and Pawan should demand CM post for the first 2 or 2.5 years. However, today’s statement of Pawan on this topic disappointed all these fans and they are openly saying that they cant work wholeheartedly to make CBN as CM again.
Common voters welcomed:
It is known thing that several sections of voters who voted for YSRCP in 2019, turned against YSRCP later. Especially government employees went on to agitate against the government several times. Unemployed youngsters who waited for yearly Job calendars, DSC notifications etc are all in disappointment as they did not get any such notification in the 4 years of YSRCP ruling. People from these sections want the government to be changed in upcoming elections but they are not sure whether it will  happen. Because they don’t know how the masses, who are getting benefits from welfare schemes, will behave in elections . They also afraid of effect of money and misuse of power during the elections. Pawan’s statement today gave them hope about bringing down YSRCP in the next elections.
We need to wait and see for further updates on this topic and how the voters and JSP fans react on this during elections.

Pawan Kalyan to lobby for Opposition alliance

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that he would work for the unity among the opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh. He said he had already raised the issue with the BJP top leadership during his recent visit to Delhi.

The Jana Sena chief, who is touring rain-hit farmers of East Godavari district, interacted with the media persons in Rajamahendravaram on Thursday. He said he is looking at defeat of the YSR Congress in the next election and would do everything to send Jagan out of power.

He emphasised the need to bring unity among the opposition parties, particularly among the Jana Sena, BJP and the TDP for the next round of elections. He said that the anti-government and the anti-YSR Congress vote should not get divided.

Pawan Kalyan said that the BJP alliance with several parties across the country and maintained that alliance is a political obligation. He said he would once again take the alliance proposal to the national leadership of the BJP. He underlined the need to bring BJP and TDP together along with the Jana Sena.

He said that the Jana Sena’s strength had increased since the 2019 election. Though he expected the party to win at least 40 Assembly seats in the 2019 elections, it did not happen. Now, the situation has changed and the party’s electoral prospects have increased, he asserted.

He also said that the party enjoys 30 per cent strength in some districts and 18 per cent in other areas. He said that he would ask for the seats based on the party strength in the districts. He also maintained that he would not compromise on the number of seats to be given to the Jana Sena in alliance.

“We will look for respectful share from the BJP and the TDP in alliance,” Pawan Kalyan asserted.

Pawan visits rain-hit farmers in Godavari district

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday visited the rain-hit areas of East Godavari district. He interacted with the farmers whose crops were damaged due to the untimely rains.

He reached Rajamahendravaram airport from where he went to Kadiyam. He met the farmers whose paddy and other crops were damaged and discoloured due to the untimely rains. He interacted with them on whether the government was purchasing the damaged crops or not.

Accompanied by party political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar, the Jana Sena chief closeted with the farmers in Kadiyam. He wondered what the Rythu Bharosa Kendras were doing when the farmers were struggling with the damaged crops.

The farmers told him that no government official had visited them. They also told him that the officials were refusing to buy the damaged crops. They requested his intervention to make the government enter into the market and procure the damaged crops.

The farmers also wanted the Jana Sena chief to ensure that the government pays the compensation to the farmers whose crops were damaged in the untimely rains. The Jana Sena chief asked the state government to rescue the farmers who have lost their crops in the recent rains.

Earlier in the day, hundreds of Jana Sena activists welcomed Pawan Kalyan and Nandendla Manohar at the Rajamahendravaram airport. They went to Kadiyam along with the party chief in a massive motor car rally.

Jana Sena condemns house arrest of its leaders

0

The Jana Sena on Wednesday condemned the house arrest of its leaders in Nellimarla Assembly constituency in North Andhra region. The Jana Sena wondered why its leaders were kept under house arrest in Nellimarla when chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was visiting Bhogapuram.

Jana Sena political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar took strong exception to the police arresting the party leaders and keeping some of them under house arrest. He said that party leaders Thummi Lakshmi Raj, Pathiwada Krishnaveni, Pathiwada Acchannaidu and Kari Appala Raju, besides others, were kept under house arrest.

He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was living under fear because of which the police were arresting the opposition leaders. He questioned the rationale in arresting the Nellimarla leaders when the chief minister was visiting Bhogapuram.

Manohar also took strong exception to the police stopping vehicles on the national highway when the chief minister was travelling by helicopter. How would the vehicles on the road cause inconvenience to the helicopter, he asked.

He said that the police have stopped vehicles between Palasa in Srikakulam district to Anakapalli when the chief minister was flying. He said that if the chief minister travels by road, the shops are closed, trees are cut and barricades are put up all along the road. He blamed the chief minister and the state government for cutting trees to facilitate the travel of the chief minister.

Terming Jagan Mohan Reddy as one-time chief minister, the Jana Sena leaders sought to advise him to restrain from causing destruction by cutting trees, closing shops and stopping vehicle movements on the roads. He also sought to advise the state police to stop harassing the people whenever the chief minister moved out of his Tadepalli palace.

BJP says Jana Sena is not with them

1

BJP is feeling that the Jana Sena is not with them anymore in Andhra Pradesh. The BJP had lost the Graduate constituency MLC elections in all the three seats that the party had contested. The party also lost its sitting seat – Visakhapatnam-Vizianagaram-Srikakulam- represented by P N V Madhav, who is scheduled to retire on March 29, this year.

Madhav was elected to the Legislative Council in 2017 in alliance with the TDP, which was in power then. However, the TDP and BJP broke the alliance in 2018 over the special category status demand and subsequently TDP lost the power.

Now, the BJP is tied-up with the Jana Sena in Andhra Pradesh. However, the Jana Sena did not support the party in the just concluded MLC elections from the Graduates Constituency. The Jana Sena had sought votes against the YSR Congress and did not ask for the BJP, though the two parties are in alliance.

Madhav, who lost the MLC election from North Andhra, told media persons on Tuesday that the Jana Sena is not with them. He felt that Jana Sena may not continue its alliance with the BJP in the 2024 general election.

The BJP former MLC said that they have made a personal request to Pawan Kalyan to declare support to the BJP candidates in the MLC elections. However, the Jana Sena chief did not extend his support, he said and regretted that Pawan Kalyan did not even use the social media to extend support to the BJP.

He also said that people have believed that the BJP is with the ruling YSR Congress. That was the reason for the people, particularly the graduates, for not voting for the BJP in the MLC elections. He felt that this feeling among the people would damage the party unless the BJP leaders changed their stand towards the YSR Congress.

Demolition again in Andhra village, Jana Sena calls it political vendetta

0

Tension once again gripped Ippatam village in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday after municipal authorities resumed demolition, evoking strong protest from the local residents.

The authorities razed the boundary walls of 12 houses with bulldozers while police personnel were deployed in large numbers to prevent any untoward incident.

The police had also deployed personnel at the entry points into the village and were allowing people only after checking their identification.

The action by the municipal authorities angered the villagers, who alleged that they were being targeted. Ignoring the protest, the officials carried on with their work.

Tension mounted after the officials moved to demolish the house of Jana Sena Party’s village president Narasimha Rao.

After a huge protest by the villagers, the officials left after demolishing the boundary wall.

The villagers questioned the officials about what they intended to achieve by expanding the existing road when the village had no public transport facility.

Meanwhile, Jana Sena Party (JSP) leader N. Manohar termed the demolition as vendetta politics of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government.

He alleged that the ruling party is targeting the villagers just because they had given their land for a JSP meeting.

This is the second time that the municipal authorities have taken up demolition in the village.

In November last year, a few houses were demolished. Actor and JPS leader Pawan Kalyan had visited the village to show solidarity with the villagers.

He had alleged that houses of Jana Sena supporters were demolished.

He had alleged that the YSRCP government headed by Jagan Mohan Reddy is targeting the villagers for giving their lands for holding Jana Sena formation day public meeting on March 14, 2022.

He said when the ruling party leaders were threatening people in Amaravati not to cooperate with Jana Sena for its public meeting, villagers of Ippatam came forward to give their lands.

MLC Elections – will Jana Sena back TDP?

0

Andhra Pradesh is scheduled to see the biennial election to 9 MLC seats on March 13. The Election Commission has released the schedule and is set to issue notification on February 16.

The election to the MLC seats in the local bodies constituencies are likely to be one sided with the ruling YSR Congress having a clear edge.

However, the election to the three Graduates Constituencies and two Teachers Constituencies, is set to see a direct and tough battle. The Left parties’ sponsored Progressive Democratic Front is set to give a tough fight both in the two categories of the constituencies, the YSR Congress, TDP and the BJP too are set to have their candidates.

Elections are scheduled for the Teachers constituencies of Chittoor, Nellore and Prakasam, Anantapur, Kurnool and Kadapa districts. Similarly, the Graduates constituencies of Srikakulam, Viziangara and Visakhapatnam in the north Andhra, Chittoor, Nellore and Prakasam in the south coastal Andhra and Anantapur, Kurnool and Kadapa districts of Rayalaseema region are set to see a tough battle.

Currently, the Graduates constituency of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam is held by the BJP’s P V N Madhav, while the Anantapur, Kurnool and Kadapa seat is held by the YSR Congress Party’s Vennapusa Gopala Reddy.

The TDP and the YSR Congress have decided to field their candidates for the Graduates Constituencies directly and have their candidates for the Teachers constituencies. As this is going to be a crucial election with the general election only 13 months away, the TDP is trying to get the support of the Jana Sena.

If the Jana Sena has to support the TDP, it would have to break its alliance with the BJP first as the BJP is also set to contest the election. It is to be seen what step that the Jana Sena would take once the notification is issued on February 16.

Pawan Kalyan warns against demands to further divide Andhra Pradesh

0

Jana Sena Party (JSP) President Pawan Kalyan on Thursday warned leaders against speaking for separate statehood to North Andhra and Rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh.

The actor-politician said that if someone speaks in separatist tones to split the state further, they would not see another extremist like him.

In his address at the Republic Day celebrations at the party office near Mangalagiri in Guntur district, he warned the leaders that if they speak of dividing the state further, this would have serious consequences.

Pawan Kalyan said it was unfortunate that Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao proposed statehood for the North Andhra districts while former minister Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy wanted a separate Rayalaseema state.

He asked these leaders to introspect what they had done for their respective regions, and explain how new states would help in achieving development.

The JSP leader alleged that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was stoking regional feelings to achieve its political objectives.

He exhorted people to raise a banner of revolt against the “draconian” government of the YSRCP by drawing inspiration from the youth of Telangana who had fought for separate state and achieved it in spite of many difficulties.

The actor told the partymen that he had not entered politics to become Chief Minister overnight. Stating that he has an ideology for the next 25 years, he made it clear that it will not change once in five years for elections.

He observed that the people of Andhra Pradesh were apparently obsessed with their castes more than the common good, which was the reason for other states stealing a march on it.

He alleged that law and order deteriorated due to the inefficiency of the government. He said the government ensured that no one dared to question its policies and actions by implicating people, mainly leaders of the opposition parties, in false cases.

He alleged that YSRCP cadres were behind the arson that had taken place in Amalapuram over the naming of Konaseema district after B.R. Ambedkar. It was a conspiracy to derive political mileage by driving a wedge between various castes, but nobody knew about the fate of this case, he said.

Pawan slammed Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for having no confidence in the state police. He said nothing has so far happened in the Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder and the infamous ‘Kodi Kathi’ case.

Vivekananda Reddy, a former minister and uncle of Jagan Mohan Reddy, was murdered just before the 2019 elections.

‘Kodi Kathi” case relates to the attack on Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam Airport in 2018 by a youth with a knife used in cockfights.

Kanna to quit BJP, join Jana Sena on Jan 28

0

Former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana from Guntur is scheduled to quit the BJP to join the Jana Sena, if the talk in the political circles is to be believed. The former minister had also set January 28 as the date to join the Jana Sena in the presence of Pawan Kalyan.

Kanna Lakshminarayana, a loyalist of late Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga Rao, was the lieutenant to Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and was a strong critic of TDP. However, after the state was bifurcated, he made arrangements to join the YSR Congress before the 2019 general election.

Shockingly, he deferred joining the YSR Congress and went into the fold of the BJP, where he was subsequently made the AP unit president. After one year in the office, Kanna tried to build the BJP in the state using his political connections.

For some time, he had been inactive in BJP and is said to be looking at the TDP and Jana Sena. It did not take much time for Kanna to decide on his next move and he finally zeroed in on Jana Sena.

In the last three years, several leaders have left Pawan Kalyan while Nadendla Manohar remained the sole trusted lieutenant. Manohar has been the only trusted lieutenant of Pawan Kalyan and is the second in command in the party.

It is to be seen what political developments would take place in the relationship between the BJP and the Jana Sena once Kanna Lakshminarayana joins the Jana Sena. It is known that the Jana Sena is in alliance with the BJP and would not be easy to maintain the same relationship if Jana Sena takes Ambedkar.

It is also quite interesting to see Kanna Lakshminarayana, a strong critic of Chandrababu Naidu to be now in the Jana Sena, at a time when TDP and Jana Sena are trying for alliance!

Pawan readies his poll campaign vehicle

1

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had readied his vehicle for the 2024 election campaign. He named the vehicle as “Varahi”, a goddess who saves the world from evil forces.

Pawan Kalyan is also planning to launch a state-wide tour before the elections, and he is likely to use this vehicle. He initially planned to go on a bus yatra but differed for unknown reasons. He said he is required to know more about the people and their problems before he starts his yatra.

Now, he readied the vehicle which appears like a military vehicle, protected completely from all sides. The vehicle would have basic facilities for Pawan Kalyan to rest and ready besides holding key meetings with half-a-dozen leaders at a time.

While it is not known whether Pawan Kalyan would stay in alliance with the BJP or would go with the TDP, as is widely speculated. In fact, Pawan Kalyan, on several occasions had said that he would try to keep the anti-government vote united so as to defeat the ruling YSR Congress. Going by this, he is likely to break his alliance with the BJP and go with the TDP.

He is leaving no stone unturned to defeat the YSR Congress and enter into the Assembly with at least 10 MLAs from Jana Sena along with him. He strongly believes that he would be able to win the elections only if he goes with the TDP and not the BJP.

It is to be seen what move he would make before the 2024 election bells ring!

Pawan to pay Rs 1 lakh each to Ippatam villagers

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan would hand over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh each to the Ippatam villagers whose houses were demolished by the officials for road widening in the first week of November. The Jana Sena chief would hand over the cheques to the beneficiaries at the party office at Mangalagiri on November 27.

Pawan Kalyan had promised Rs 1 lakh compensation to each of the villagers when he visited them after their houses were demolished by the officials. The Jana Sena chief took strong exception to the government for the destruction programme in the village.

He alleged that the government was going for vendetta politics and targeting the Ippatam villagers who have given their lands for the Jana Sena to hold a public meeting in March this year on the occasion of the party formation day.

Meanwhile, the high court had imposed a penalty of Rs 1 lakh on fourteen villagers who had filed a petition in the court challenging demolition. They told the court that the officials have demolished their houses without serving proper notices.

However, during the course of the hearing, the court found that the officials have served notices to the residents in advance. In fact, the advocate for the petitioners also informed the court that notices were given to them on the road widening proposal.

Based on this, the court imposed the penalty stating that the petitioners have misled the court and misused its proceedings. The court also made critical remarks against the villagers for hiding facts in the case while obtaining a stay order on demolition.

It is to be seen if the farmers would pay the court from the money that the Jana Sena chief would pay them or not.

For standing by Pawan, Ippatam tastes Jagan’s wrath

0

The officials of the Andhra Pradesh government had started demolition of houses in Ippatam village of Tadepalli mandal near Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Friday. The officials have issued notices for road widening and a week later, started demotion, much against the wishes of the residents.

The high court had slapped the government by issuing a stay order by evening. Though some houses were damaged by then, the residents of the village heaved a sigh of relief with the court’s intervention. The villagers feel that the high court order was a slap on the face of the government.

The decision of the government to widen the main road of this small village, whose population is just 4000, is seen from the acts of the villagers for the past one year. The villagers have given their lands for Pawan Kalyan to hold Jana Sena’s formation day public meeting in March 2022.

Even after that event, the villagers have been part of the Jana Sena programmes, which might have attracted the ire of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party leaders. Unless for vendetta politics, there is no urgency for the government to widen the road of this small village.

One wonders why Jagan Mohan Reddy is going for such vendetta politics, which is sending wrong signals and uniting his critics. Even if Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted to show his displeasure at the villagers for aligning with the Jana Sena chief, what were the officials doing? Why did not the officials advise him against going for demolition.

Pawan Kalyan had strongly condemned the government’s action of demolishing the houses in the village. He said that people are getting ready to demolish the YSR Congress government in the state.

The Jana Sena chief extended his support to the Ippatam villagers and promised to visit them soon. He said he would stand by them even if Jagan Mohan Reddy and his officials get angry with him and the villagers.

Pawan felicitates party leaders from Visakha

0

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Saturday felicitated the nine leaders of the party from Visakhapatnam who were arrested during his visit to the city on October 15.

Pawan Kalyan invited all the nine leaders along with their family members to the party headquarters at Mangalagiri.

He congratulated them for standing tall and strong against the YSR Congress leadership and the state government.

He honoured the nine leaders – Kona Tata Rao, Sundarapu Vijay Kumar, Panchakarla Sandeep, P V S N Raju, Peethala Murthy Yadav, Kolluru Rupa, Rayapureddy Krishna, Srinivasa Patnaik and Chittibilli Srinu.

The leaders were arrested and sent to jail in Visakhapatnam on the charges of taking out an unauthorised rally from airport and attack on the minister’s vehicles. The police also attempted to arrest Pawan Kalyan but was restrained for reasons not known.

It was later, Pawan Kalyan left Visakhapatnam and reached Vijayawada, where he addressed the media and later the party workers. At the party meeting, Pawan Kalyan went aggressive on the ruling YSR Congress leaders and hurled abuses at them.

BJP State chief Somu Veerraju met Pawan Kalyan at the Jana Sena office and expressed solidarity with him.

Interestingly, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu met Pawan Kalyan in a hotel and expressed his support to the fight against the YSR Congress leaders. The two leaders addressed a joint press conference emphasising the need for a united fight against the YSR Congress leadership in the state.

The two leaders have also underlined the need for unity among the opposition parties in the state for the 2024 general election. They have also given an indication that the two parties would fight the 2024 electoral battle.

Pawan returns from Visakha, vows to free AP from YSRCP

1

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had left Visakhapatnam on Monday evening without holding Janavani programme. He reached Vijayawada and proceeded to the party headquarters at Mangalagiri, where he addressed a press conference.

He blamed the YSR Congress government for arresting the Jana Sena leaders and activists in Visakhapatnam for no reason. He wondered how the ruling party held Garjana, when there were prohibitory orders in force.

He said his party was looking into the legal aspects of the incidents that happened in Visakhapatnam. He alleged that the ruling party leaders were using their criminal mind against the opposition parties. He also accused the YSR Congress of misusing the police force to target the opposition parties.

However, Pawan Kalyan said he would not run away from politics because of the criminals in politics. He said he had launched the political party to clean politics from criminals. “I don’t want to be ruled by a criminal. I don’t want the people of Andhra Pradesh to be ruled by a criminal,” Pawan Kalyan said.

The Jana Sena chief said that he would work hard for the 2024 general elections to clear the criminals from the state politics. He wanted to free Andhra Pradesh from the YSR Congress criminals. “My slogan for the 2024 elections would be to free the state from YSRCP criminals,” Pawan Kalyan asserted.

Stating that his party would fight the legal battle against the police cases, the Jana Sena chief reiterated that he would give a tough political fight to the ruling party. He claimed that he is getting ready to give sleepless nights to the YSR Congress leaders ahead of the 2024 general elections.

He made an appeal to the youth and the people of the state to understand the criminal politics of Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSR Congress leaders and drive them away from the state in the next elections. He said he would continue to campaign against the YSRCP criminals and create awareness among the people.

Pawan tweets, YSRCP hits him hard

0

Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan tweeted on his twitter handle on Monday hitting the Andhra Pradesh government hard on the proposed “Garjana” rally in Visakhapatnam on October 15, in support of the decentralisation. A Joint Action Committee was formed to fight for Visakhapatnam to be declared as the administrative capital of the state. The JAC had given an action plan for a massive rally in the city in support of three capitals.

The Jana Sena chief tweeted questioning the intentions of the ruling YSR Congress for holding the Garjana rally. He blamed the ruling party and its leaders, besides the state government for its failure to develop Visakhapatnam and the north Andhra region.

He also blamed the state government headed by Jagan Mohan Reddy for exploiting all resources in and around Visakhapatnam in the last three years. He said that the YSR Congress leaders have no right to hold such rallies that would widen the gap between the people of different regions.

The ruling YSR Congress leaders reacted sharply to these tweets of the Jana Sena chief. They said that Pawan Kalyan had received Dasara Mamool from the TDP chief and hence the tweets, after a gap of one month.

Minister Jogi Ramesh dared Pawan Kalyan to come to the state and speak on the issues rather than sitting in Hyderabad and tweeting in the social media.

Another minister R K Roja said what was Pawan Kalyan doing when people of Uttarandhra were migrating to other places during the TDP regime. She said that Pawan Kalyan reacts only to protect the interests of the TDP.

The social media activists of the YSR Congress also blamed the Jana Sena chief for coming up with more than 20 tweets on a single day and all aimed at the State government and the YSR Congress. They alleged that the Jana Sena chief had received his payment from the TDP to criticise the YSR Congress.

Jana Sena backs Amaravati farmers’ padayatra

1

The Jana Sena had extended its support to the proposed padayatra by the farmers of Amaravati from Venkatapalem to the Sun temple in Arasavalli in Srikakulam district. The padyatra, second in its nature, would start on September 12, marking the completion of 1000 days of agitation.

Earlier, the farmers have conducted a similar padayatra from Amavarati to Tirupati, for which all political parties in the state extended their support.

The farmers met Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan at his Mangalagiri office on Monday and requested him to support their proposed padayatra. The farmers also requested the Jana Sena chief to support their demand for Amaravati as the only capital of Andhra Pradesh and not one of the three capitals.

Responding to the farmers’ request, Pawan Kalyan said that the Jana Sena would always stand by the farmers. He said that the Jana Sena is for the single capital at Amaravati and would not allow any government to change it. He also extended unconditional support to the farmers’ agitation.

Pawan Kalyan alleged that chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had betrayed the farmers. He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had supported Amaravati as capital when he was in the Opposition. Jagan Mohan Reddy went to the elections in 2019 showing his house in Tadepalli, Pawan Kalyan said.

However, after coming to power, Jagan Mohan Reddy had betrayed the farmers by proposing Amaravati as one of the three capitals and thus diluting the spirit with which the farmers have given their lands to the government.

The Jana Sena chief alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy had betrayed every section of the people in the state in the last three years. He said Jagan had made several false and fake promises to the people during the 2019 elections. Once in power, the YSR Congress chief had stabbed every section of the people in their back.

Pawan Kalyan made an appeal to the people to vote against Jagan Mohan Reddy in the 2024 general elections. He wanted a YSRC-free Andhra Pradesh after the elections. He said he would continue the fight to defeat the YSR Congress and wanted the people to support him.

Pawan’s next target is Jagan’s home district

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will be touring the YSR Kadapa district on August 20. He would be meeting the families of the tenant farmers who committed suicide due to debts.

The Jana Sena chief had so far visited the two Godavari districts, Prakasam, Ananthapur and Kurnool districts, where he donated Rs 1 lakh each to the bereaved families and addressed his party workers in the public meetings.

On August 20, Pawan Kalyan would be touring the undivided YSR Kadapa district and meet the bereaved family members. Kadapa has been the fortress of the YS family for decades. The district became the target for the TDP and Jana Sena as well, as Jagan Mohan Reddy became the chief minister.

Pawan Kalyan would address the families of the tenant farmers and the party workers at a public meeting to be held at Siddhavatam. The Jana Sena chief had been standing for the tenant farmers and campaigning in their support exposing the failures of the state government. He alleges that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government had not done anything for the tenant farmers. However, he says that the chief minister was spreading false campaign by supressing the suicides of these tenant farmers.

The Jana Sena leaders say that Jagan Mohan Reddy might use force to silence the family members of the tenant farmers who have committed suicide. The chief minister may not allow these family members to speak to Pawan Kalyan, the Jana Sena leaders feared.

They are also alleging that Jagan Mohan Reddy was sending his police and revenue officials wherever Pawan Kalyan planned to visit. The police and the revenue officials were scaring the bereaved families not to speak to Pawan Kalyan. “However, a good number of these families are meeting Pawan Kalyan,” a Jana Sena leader asserted.

AP Minister Raja hits at Pawan Kalyan

1

AP Minister Dadisetti Raja on Tuesday criticised Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for his confused politics and demanded that Jana Sena should make its stand clear on the 2024 general elections. Dadisetti Raja said that Pawan Kalyan was betraying the Kapus, using the caste card.

The Minister said that Pawan Kalyan was asking the Kapus to support Jana Sena. On the contrary, Pawan Kalyan was looking at the TDP. He alleged that the Jana Sena chief had been doing everything to have an alliance with the TDP for the 2024 general elections.

Raja asked the Jana Sena chief to tell the people or even the Kapus whether he would contest all the 175 Assembly constituencies and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies. He also wanted Pawan Kalyan to say whether he would go with the TDP or stay with the BJP.

The Minister said that Pawan Kalyan was doing politics only to help the TDP wrest power in the state. “In other words, we can say that Pawan Kalyan is working for the victory of the TDP and not Jana Sena,” the Minister said.

The Minister wanted Pawan Kalyan to give clarity on these issues, before blaming the ruling YSR Congress or asking the Kapus to support him. The Minister claimed that the Kapus are wise enough to understand the pro-TDP politics of Pawan Kalyan and were not ready to be betrayed once again.

The Minister said that Pawan Kalyan had changed his allies several times and wondered whether he had come into politics only for alliance or to contest alone and come to power. “Pawan Kalyan should focus on strengthening his party and winning the elections rather than helping the TDP win the elections,” Dadisetti Raja said.
