0

Vijay Deverakonda’s maiden production, Meeku Maathrame Cheptha has turned out to be a disappointment at the box-office. The film has started with low numbers all over on Friday which is usual for this sort of film but it failed to show enough growth over the weekend. Multiplexes were decent till the end of the weekend but those also came down from Monday. The producer would have recovered the budget from satellite & digital revenues but the film failed to give any theatre feeding in the least case.

Anasuya has no issue with Tharun

0

Actress Anasuya got miffed with the team of ‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ with the remarks made by the film’s producer Vijay Deverakonda. Hurt by his comment, she skipped the promotions of the movie after its release. Vijay Deverakonda produced the film on his King of the Hill Entertainment banner.

But she doesn’t have any problem with Tharun Bhascker who has played a lead role in the film. She took it to social media to heap praise on Tharun and his cool demeanor. Wishing him a happy birthday, she posted, “Happy birthday to the most humble and hard working @tharunbhascker 🥳 !!!!! I found such an amazing friend in you I didn’t realise how I could start blabbering with you without filters!!😛
Thank you for everything!!! And Hero garuuu 🤩!!!!! Super duper congratulations for #MMC!!! So many reasons to party haaarrdd!!! Lets eat a lot again and again and… may be again!!!”

Either she has made up with the team MMC or she likes Tharun Bhascker as a friend. Her hot and cold relationship with Vijay Deverakonda is continuing though from the days of ‘Arjun Reddy’.

The absence of Anasuya Bharadwaj at the success meet of ‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ has led to speculations. At the press meet held on Saturday morning, murmurs were heard that Anasuya got miffed with the team for not properly inviting her. Also, it is heard that she was not happy with Vijay Devarakonda’s recent comment he made about her during the media interaction.

When asked how did he cast Anasuya in his film when she made some caustic remarks against him during ‘Arjun Reddy’ release, he said it was the director’s choice. “If I was directing the film, I don’t know whether I would have chosen her or not, but since I am not the director, it’s his choice,” reported Deccan Chronicle.

She miffed with Vijay Devarakonda’s answer. Anasuya did a lot of promotions before the release. She played an interesting role that appears in the latter part of this buddy thriller.

Anasuya got fame with ‘Rangasthalam’ as an actress but she is very selective in her choice of films.

The rush of small movies in November

0

Starting from November 1st, Telugu box-office will witness the rush of small movies testing their luck. Traditionally, the month of November is considered a dull period for collections. Big star movies focus on Christmas and Sankranthi period. So, small and medium budgeted movies are this period to rake in some collections. Lack of competition is an advantage for these movies.

Vijay Deverakonda produced ‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ and Allari Ravi Babu’s ‘Aaviri’ are hitting the screens on November 1st. Sree Vishnu who recently scored a good hit with ‘Brochevarevarura’ is bringing another small film named ‘Thipparaa Meesam’ on Nov 8th. ‘Edu Chepala Katha’ (Nov 7), ‘Goerge Reddy’ (Nov 22), Arjun Suravaram and Raja Varu Rani Garu (Nov 29) have also lined up for this month.

Essentially, the month of November will see only non-star movies.

Anasuya conveniently avoids the old topic

‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ featuring Tharun Bhascker, Abhinav Gomatam and Anasuya is hitting the screens on November 1st. The team has been doing promotions aggressively for the past few weeks. But one question that Anasuya is consistently skipping about her outburst against Vijay Deverakonda two years ago.

As soon as the scribes and anchors bring this topic, she is pleading them to avoid the question. Let bygones be bygones, she says.

At the time of the release of ‘Arjun Reddy’, Anasuya made a huge controversy out of Vijay Deverakonda’s use of MC word on the stage. Anasuya has now patched up with Vijay Deverakonda. This youthful drama is his maiden production. She doesn’t want to talk about the Arjun Reddy phase.

Also, it is said that she doesn’t have a lengthy role in this film.

Vijay Deverakonda draws a different promotional plan

0

Vijay Deverakonda’s maiden production venture ‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ is hitting the screens on November 1st but the movie has not yet to able to generate huge buzz. This is a slapstick comedy about the perils of smartphones. Featuring Tharun Bhaskar, Anasuya and Abhinav Gomatam in the lead roles, the movie introduces a new director.

The teaser has been appreciated but the movie needs big publicity to get the attention of its target audiences – the college youth. Tharun Bhaskar on his part touring colleges and promoting it.

Vijay Deverakonda who knows the pulse of the youth is said to be drawing a different promotional plan. He will focus on this promotion from next week.

Vijay Devarakonda keenly waiting for the result of Syeraa

0

Young hero Vijay Devarkonda is trying to expand his footprint as he is trying to set a Bollywood project for himself right now. He has almost three films in the pipeline to wrap up, so Bollywood dream has to wait a little longer. But the talented actor is making his debut as a producer meanwhile.

‘Meeku Maathrame Chepta’ is the first-ever production venture of Vijay Devarakonda, which has newcomer director Shammer Sultan at the helm. Talented director Tarun Bhaskar of Pellichoopulu fame turned hero with this film, while the likes of Anasuya are playing other important roles.

We hear that Vijay is waiting for the release of Sye Raa and how the result will be like. If the October 2nd releasing magnum opus scores a bit hit, then the hero wants Meeku Maathrame Chepta to hit cinemas three weeks later, in the last week of October. But if Sye Raa goes for a toss, then he might rush to theatres the very next week.

With no other films locking their dates for October yet, Vijay is eagerly looking forward if he gets a chance to cash on Dasara holidays or he has to go to theatres after the vacation.
