As the film chronicles different stages of NTR’s life, the team is having tough time to find an actor who could fit the bill to portray the young character of the legendary actor.

According to the latest buzz, talented young actor Sharwanand is the forerunner to play young NTR’s role. As the Shatamanam Bhavathi actor is very popular and can be a value addition to the biopic, the makers are likely to approach him for the character.

We have to wait and see if Sharwanand signs the film if he is offered the plump role.

During a press interaction, Balakrishna has formally announced that NTR biopic will start rolling on March 29th. The Jai Simha actor has also hinted that they are looking for a possible release during Sankranthi 2019. To be directed by Teja, NTR biopic is said to be made on a whopping 60 Crore budget with grand visuals and strong technicalities.

This will be Balakrishna’s fourth straight Sankranthi release after Dictator, Gauthamiputra Satakarni and Jai Simha.

There is a saying – You cannot sail in two boats at a time. Director Teja is doing exactly the same. It is well known that he bagged two big projects after Nene Raju Nene Mantri. One film is prestigious NTR biopic and the other is much awaited Victory Venkatesh’s film.

Unfortunately, both these projects couldn’t start rolling as they were initially planned for. NTR biopic was supposed to kick off by this time. But, the extensive post production work has delayed the start. There were reports that the formal launch of the film will be held in March. That too looks doubtful given that there is still plenty of pre production work left for the team.

Due to NTR biopic, Teja initially decided to defer Venky’s project. Later, there was some change in plans and it has been confirmed that Venky’s film will start rolling first. As he is concentrating on NTR biopic, this project also got delayed till now.

It is little rare these days that a director juggles between two different projects at a time. Teja is trying his best to put foot on two boats at a time. It remains to be seen if his juggling act impacts the quality of work for both these prestigious films.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Teja are soon joining hands for the biopic of iconic Telugu superstar and politician N.T. Ramarao. Eponymously titled as NTR, the film will see Balakrishna stepping into the shoes of his father’s role. It has already been reported that Balakrishna will be seen straddling multiple avatars in his much awaited flick.

Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that the makers of this film are on the lookout for another prominent actor who could fit the bill for essaying young NTR’s role. As the biopic chronicles different stages of NTR’s life, director Teja and Balakrishna felt that they need to rope in some other actor who justifies the look and appearance of the legendary star in his tender age. True that Balakrishna cannot go for a makeover which would make him as younger as NTR was in his 20s and 30s.

So they are considering the names of several actors for this role. Earlier, there were reports that Balakrishna’s son Mokshagna will debut with this film. But, no clarification has been made in this regard.

It would be interesting to be seen if Teja ropes in a new face or a prominent young hero to play young NTR’s character.

Nandamuri Balakrishna is pulling all stops to make the biopic on his father and legendary actor NTR a memorable one that will be remembered forever. To be made on a stunning budget, the regular shooting of the film will commence in a few months.

According to the latest reports in industry circles, a Hollywood team has been recruited to work for this much anticipated flick. Reports suggest that the film will feature more than 70 artists playing different roles which were significant in NTR’s life and the special team is busy working on their character sketches.

Also, a team has been entrusted with the duty of collecting information from various sources and people who knew NTR very well.

The casting process is currently underway and the team is planning to commence shoot once the extensive pre production phase is done and dusted.

NBK all set for NTR’s Biopic

Nandamuri Balakrishna wrapped up the shoot of Jai Simha which has been aimed for summer 2018 release. His next project is to be officially announced and the discussions are on. Balakrishna announced earlier that he would step into the shoes of his father NTR in his biopic and the film has been titled NTR. Teja has been asked to direct the film and the regular shoot of the film will kick-start once Teja wraps up the work for Venky’s project.

A small teaser has been planned to be shot and it will start tomorrow morning in Ramakrishna Studios, Hyderabad. Balakrishna and his team will work on this teaser for a week after which Teja will shift his focus on Venky’s movie. This biopic will show the NTR’s early life, his entry into movies and then into politics. This movie will also have the episode of Nadendla backstabbing NTR and dethroning him from CM seat. So movie’s climax will have NTR reclaiming the power. The movie is going to stop at this scene of NTR reclaiming power in 1985. Nadendla episode is going to be climax for the movie and will be shown in great detail. One more interesting news is, makers are actually gathering all the footage of people’s movement (praja vudyamam) in 1985 and this real footage will be shown in the movie.

Though several biopic movies has used the technique of showing real footage in the movie, it’s done mostly in hollywood and bollywood movies (including Sachin’s biopic). In Telugu, where biopics are just a recent trend, this technique is not used so far efficiently. Only exemption for this is “Ashwini” movie that was loosely based on Ashwini Nachappa’s real life. The scene where Ashwini defeated PT Usha was shown with real footage. But anyway, NTR’s biopic will set new trend on using real footage on a grand scale in Telugu movies.
