Priyadarshi tested his luck as a comedian and he has been a part of several successful films. He soon tested his luck as a lead actor with Mallesam and Balagam. The second one was a super hit and Priyadarshi is balancing his career by picking up comic roles along with lead roles. Priyadarshi has signed two new films in the lead role and the actor is also charging huge remuneration for the projects.

This is because of the non-theatrical market that he attained. Along with these, he is also playing comic roles in several top films in Telugu and he is charging four times the remuneration (per day) he took last year. At the same time, Priyadarshi is not in a hurry and he is choosy. He will romance Nabha Natesh in his next film that will be helmed by a Tamil director Ashwin Ram. The shoot of the film commences very soon.

Actor Priyadarshi Pulikonda, who primarily works in Telugu films, says he wants to come out of his “so-called image” as a comedian and be known as an actor who can do whatever he is offered.

“As an actor, you want to come out of that comfort zone. I want to discover the endless possibilities through these characters, entering into worlds that are more challenging and scarier. The so-called image I have of a comedian, I also wanted to get out of that. The image is for the people to give me but I would rather not have any image associated with me and become an actor who can do whatever he is offered,” he tells IANS.

Priyadarshi is known for his roles in Telugu films such as “Pelli Choopulu”, “Arjun Reddy”, “Mallesham” and, more recently, “Jathi Ratnalu”. He will soon be seen in a crime thriller series titled “In The Name Of God”, where he portrays a complex and dark character.

“To discover these dark areas as a human being, my character Adi was the anchor that helped me to go into myself and discover those grey areas. That was a good exercise for me as an actor and something new to work for. I haven’t done anything of this sort so far. This has been the most excruciating and rewarding journey for me,” shares the actor.

“He has high aspiration and little of everything — of greed, love, lust — and puts himself in an inconvenient position. Somehow, he tries to seek redemption from all of this,” the actor adds about his character.The series is scheduled to drop on Aha streaming platform from June 18.

Priyadarshi made an impressive debut with Pelli Choopulu and he never looked back after the film’s release. The actor is quite busy with several projects and he also tested his luck as the lead actor with Mallesam. He received critical acclaim for the attempt and his performance in the recent offering Jaathi Ratnalu is winning the hearts of the audience. During his recent media interaction, Priyadarshi revealed that he will soon test his luck as a director. Priyadarshi is working on a script currently and he will announce the details about his directorial debut very soon.

Priyadarshi is quite delighted with the response Jaathi Ratnalu is receiving from the audience. He said that he was quite tensed before the film’s release and he is glad that the audience are loving the comedy in the film. Jaathi Ratnalu featured Naveen Polishetty, Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi in the lead roles. Anudeep is the director and Nag Ashwin is the producer.

It is quite common in Telugu film industry for actors and writers to turn directors in Tollywood. Earlier comedians like AVS, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Vennela Kishore have turned directors but all of them failed to become successful directors. Now another Telugu comedian planning to turn director.

Comedian Priyadarshi, who rose to fame through his portrayal of Kaushik in the successful 2016 romantic-comedy Pelli Choopulu, revealed that he has plans to do direction in future. He is currently busy artist in Tollywood. He is doing not only comedy roles but also other roles having importance in story. So far he has acted in prominent roles in more than 20 films. He earlier produced and directed some short films too.

He expressed his interest in wielding a megaphone but told it will take sometime for him to completely turn a director and currently focusing on his acting career. We will have to wait and see if at least this comedian changes the trend and become a successful director.

Tollywood’s most happening comedian Priyadarshi got hitched to his girlfriend Richa Sharma recently. The actor even hosted a wedding reception in Hyderabad recently and he now took his twitter to share a candid moment with Richa during his wedding time. The actor has an interesting caption for the picture which says:

The natural actor PriyaDarshi rose to fame with his comedy timing and amazing Telangana dialect with Pelli Choopulu and he never looked back in terms of opportunities. He also starred in a pivotal role opposite Superstar Mahesh Babu in SPYder.

This wonderful actor also shined in a meaty role in recent romantic drama Tholi Prema and now getting married to Richa Sharma.

The wedding is scheduled to happen at Grand Hotel, Ages on 23rd of this month and a reception is scheduled for the local friends and family on 26th at Naren Gardens, Hyderabad.
