First Look: Sharwanand and Samantha’s Jaanu

After 96 ended up as a blockbuster in Tamil, top producer Dil Raju acquired the remake rights of the film. Prem Kumar who directed the original has been roped in to remake the film. Sharwanand and Samantha are the lead actors. The film completed all the formalities and is slated for February release. The makers today unveiled the title and first look poster of the film which is titled Jaanu.

Sharwanand has been spotted in the poster in a desert. Samantha’s look as of now is kept under wraps. Jaanu is a romantic entertainer which is carrying decent expectations. Govind Vasantha composed the music and Sri Venkateswara Creations are the producers. The film releases on February 7th across the globe.

Samantha for the first time opened about the same. She penned an emotional message saying “I didn’t say anything about the incident when it happened because every message I received accusing me of not paying my condolences to the victims was a reminder of how little I have done to help the women in my society and one tweet wasn’t going to free me of that guilt”. Samantha reminded about the efforts she kept for women empowerment and one tweet on the incident will not free her of the guilt.

Samantha, Naga Chaitanya celebrate second wedding anniversary

South Cinema’s star couple Samantha and Naga Chaitanya on Sunday completed two years of their married life, and to mark the occasion, Samantha took to social media to pen a heartfelt loving post for her husband.

Sharing a string of her loved-up pictures with Chaitanya, Samantha wrote: “Stronger and stronger .. two year anniversary and a ten year story .. stuck on you. #tenyearstory #secondanniversary.”

She also posted a video in which the two are seen dancing to a peppy song.

Samantha and Chaitanya met each other on the sets of Gautham Menon’s “Ye Maaya Chesave”. After dating each other for years, they two got married in 2017 in Goa.

Wishing the couple on their wedding anniversary, actor Rana Daggubati wrote: “Happy Anniversary you lovelies Have an awesome year.”

Daggubati’s post shows Naga and Samantha walking hand in hand as man and wife for the first time.

Actress Rakul preet called them her “favourite couple”.

Though Samantha wished to work with Nandini Reddy again, the project may not happen anytime soon due to the commitments of Nandini Reddy. As of now, Samantha is in plans to spend time with family staying away from films.
