Simbu in talks for Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life

Padmashri Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are working again after decades and the film is titled Thug Life. The film has a bunch of talented actors playing prominent roles and the team announced the list long ago. Dulquer Salman and Jayam Ravi walked out of the project citing issues with their dates. The shooting schedules are pushed as Kamal Haasan took a break for the Parliament elections in Tamil Nadu. The shoot resumes post elections and the makers are now finding the right replacement for Dulquer Salman and Jayam Ravi.

As per the update, Simbu is now in talks to play an important role in Thug Life but it is unclear if he is the replacement for Dulquer Salman or Jayam Ravi. The talks are in the final stages. An official announcement will be made soon. Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies are the producers of this high voltage action entertainer. Trisha, Abhirami, Nassar, Gautham Karthik, Joju George and Aishwarya Lekshmi will be seen in other important roles in Thug Life and AR Rahman is the music composer. The film releases next year.

While the Prestigious banner Sravanthi Movies is known to release it in TS & AP, Telugu trailer of the same out today.

With an engrossing voice-over by Ramya Krishna, ‘The Life Of Muthu’ Trailer gives a sneak peak into the intense journey of MUTHU filled with action, drama & much more. Visuals are world-class, production values are high and AR Rahman’s music adds life into it.

Starring Siddhi Idnani as female lead, Neeraj Madhav and Radhika Sarathkumar are seen playing pivotal roles in the film.

Aimed to release in Telugu & Tamil, Ishari.K. Ganesh is producing it under Vels Film International banner.

Tamil version is releasing in TS & AP as scheduled on Sep 15th while Telugu version is slated to release on Sep 17th.

‘Sravanthi’ Signs Exciting Project

Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is one of the veteran producers in Telugu cinema. He is regarded as a tasteful producer with a career spanning over 36 years.

Sravanthi banner has now signed an exciting new project and it is none other Tamil star Simbu’s Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu.

The film will be released in Telugu by Sravanthi and the same is made official now.

But with just a week to go for the release, 15th September, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore has a task at hand when it comes to promoting the film and giving it a big release.

The veteran producer bagged the film in the last minute and he will have to race against time now.

The Simbu starrer is directed by star filmmaker Gautam Vasudev Menon and it is one of the most promising Tamil films.

Also, Kishore’s nephew Ram Pothineni shares a close rapport with Simbu and the latter even sang the famous Bullet song in Warriorr. So this is an important film for the Sravanthi household.

Mani Ratnam’s next to roll from February

Mani Ratnam’s next launch in January

After Mani Ratnam’s last film Cheliya sank without any trace, the veteran director has been working on an action thriller from the past few months. Though the film has been planned to be launched in December, it has been pushed further now. Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Fahadh Faasil, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh are the lead actors in this untitled film which will be launched officially in January 2018. The regular shoot of the film will start from February next year.

The first schedule of the film will start in Chennai and the supporting cast, crew are being finalized currently. AR Rahman will compose the tunes and Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer. The film will be high on screenplay and will have parallel stories linked with each other. Prakash Raj and Jayasudha will be seen essaying other crucial roles in this untitled film which will bee bankrolled by Madras Talkies banner. The film will be shot in Telugu, Tamil and will hit the screens during Diwali 2018.

Allu Arjun and Simbu in Gautham Menon’s multilingual ?

According to the latest buzz, ace filmmaker Gautham Menon is planning to direct a multilingual film which features Allu Arjun, Simbu and two other South Indian actors in the lead roles. It is learnt that the film is about four close friends who meet at a marriage and decide to go on a long trip.

Puneet Rajkumar and Fahadh Fasil are in talks to complete the casting coup. Sources close to the director said that the project is just in the early stages and more details about it will be announced very soon. If everything goes as planned, the film will go on floors once Gautham Menon wraps up his current bilingual with Naga Chaitanya and Simbu. The source added that Gautham Menon will produce Tamil and Malayalam version while Puneet might fund for the Kannada version. A popular Tollywood producer is likely to bankroll the Telugu version.

Gautham Menon is also going to team up with Ram Charan for a film which will be launched in mid 2016.

Naga Chaitanya – Goutham Menon film first look soon

After Dohchay, Naga Chaitanya pulled off a surprise and started a project with Goutham Vasudev Menon. This untitled film is 60% complete and is being readied for a release in the last quarter of 2015. Latest we hear is that the first look and title of the film will be revealed on 29th August, birthday of King Nagarjuna. Goutham Menon recently revealed that this will be an action film sticking to the sensibilities of the director. Debutant Manjima Mohan is paired with Naga Chaitanya in this film. A.R.Rahman is scoring tunes. Kona Venkat and his group of friends are peoducing this film. Goutham Menon is simultaneously shooin this film in Tamil and Telugu. Simbu is playing the lead role in Tamil version.
