Shocking paycheque for Sivakarthikeyan?
Young actor Sivakarthikeyan scored a resounding hit with Doctor and the film collected more than Rs 100 crores in Tamil language. The actor is now making his debut in Telugu and the film’s announcement was made recently. Jathi Ratnalu fame Anudeep KV will direct the film and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP in association with Suresh Productions and Shanthi Talkies will bankroll this prestigious project. As per the update, Sivakarthikeyan is reportedly charging Rs 30 crores as remuneration for the film.
The makers agreed to pay the quoted remuneration for Sivakarthikeyan. They are estimating that the film’s total business in Telugu and Tamil would touch Rs 100 crores and agreed for the fat paycheque. Sivakarthikeyan emerged as one of the bankable actors in Tamil by scoring a series of hits. Thaman is the music director and more details about the project will be announced officially soon.
‘Jathi Rathnalu’ director Anudeep K.V. to direct Sivakarthikeyan’s 20th film
Anudeep K.V., who delivered the superhit Telugu film ‘Jathi Rathnalu’, will direct Sivakarthikeyan’s 20th film, that is tentatively titled ‘#SK20’.
The film, which is produced by Suresh Babu Daggubati, Narayandas K. Narang and Puskar Ram Mohan Rao and co produced by Arun Viswa, will have music by Thaman.
Taking to social media on Saturday, Sivakarthikeyan said he was very happy to join with the producers for this film and his friend, producer Arun Viswa. The actor called Anudeep, his favourite director, and indicated that the film would be a fun-filled entertainer.
Music director Thaman too took to social media to register his happiness on getting to work with his friend Sivakarthikeyan.
He said, “And here is my first o first with my dearest Nanban cricketmate Siva Kartikeyan, Dir by this super hilarious person ever Anudeep.”
The music director also said, “This is gonna be our hilarious musical Journey Ever.”
Sivakarthikeyan’s silent gesture to anchor at film event wins hearts
Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s silent gesture to an anchor, indicating that he had forgotten to mention two musicians who had participated in a musical performance at the grand pre-release event of ‘RRR’ in Chennai, is winning hearts on the Internet.
Actor Sivakarthikeyan took part in the special pre-release event that was held in Chennai as part of the promotions of director S.S. Rajamouli’s upcoming pan-Indian film ‘RRR’.
When a special performance was put up by a bunch of musicians and children at the event, the show’s anchor mentioned and thanked some musicians and the children for their performance.
Sivakarthikeyan, who was seated next to director Rajamouli and actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the audience, silently indicated through gestures to the anchor that he had forgotten the percussionist who had played an important part in the performance.
The anchor, realising his mistake, then apologised and then turned around to thank the percussionist and the guitarist.
As social media users began sharing a video clip of the actor silently indicating to the anchor about his mistake, Sivakarthikeyan’s thoughtfulness has come in for widespread praise.
The video clip caught the attention of director Arun Vaidyanathan, who too was impressed by the actor’s gesture. He tweeted, “Very nice of Siva Kartikeyan. This needs a big heart and he has one. God bless.”
