Srinivas Avasarala Penned Dialogues For James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water

Thirteen years. That’s how long Avatar fans have been waiting for James Cameron to come back to Pandora. James Cameron and his team spent years on the sequel Avatar: The Way of Water to once again deliver us to glorious, high-end stereoscopy.

Avatar 2 is the fourth most expensive movie of all time and it is expected to become the highest-grossing movie breaching the previous best- Avatar. Along with many other languages, the Telugu version of Avatar 2 will also be hitting the screens on December 16th.

An interesting update is that Telugu director Srinivas Avasarala also got to work for the magnum opus. He wrote dialogues for the Telugu version of the movie. The writer-director has a typical style in dialogue writing and Avatar 2 is going to be extra special for the Telugu audience with his mark dialogues in it.

We need to wait for another four days to witness the visual grandeur on screen.

101 Jillala Andagadu release pushed to September 3

101 Jillala Andagadu, a comedy entertainer starring Srinivas Avasarala and Ruhani Sharma in lead roles, was set to see the light of the day on August 27.

However, the makers have now decided to release the movie on September 3. Since some other movies are hitting the screens on August 27, it has been decied to delay the release of 101 Jillala Andagadu a bit to ensure healthy environment in the industry.

The film which has script by Srinivas Avasarala himself is helmed by Rachakonda Vidyasagar. The movie is bankrolled by Shirish, Y Rajeev Reddy and J Sai Babu.

It will be presented by ‘Dil’ Raju and Krish Jagarlamudi on Sri Venkateswara Creations and First Frame Entertainments banner.

The flick has music by Shakthikanth Karthick, cinematography by Raam and editing by Kiran Ganti. Bhaskara Bhatla and Sri Vishwa have penned the lyrics.

Naga Shaurya’s next film is on

Naga Shaurya and Srinivas Avasarala are working for the third time for a new age entertainer. The film completed 50% of its shoot last year and the rest of the shoot is yet to be wrapped up. There are strong speculations from the couple of days that the film is shelved due to budget issues. The producers issued a clarification on the same now. It is clarified that the project is not shelved or put on hold.

The project is shaping up well and the next schedule of this untitled film will start in USA. The team is waiting for the visas and the next schedule of the film will start soon. People Media Factory is bankrolling this prestigious project. Naga Shaurya in this while is shooting for a romantic entertainer directed by Sowjanya.

Mega hero locked for Srinivas Avasarala’s next

Sensible actor and director Srinivas Avasarala has been managing things quite comfortably. After a decent gap, he is making his comeback to direction and Sai Korrapati is gearing up to produce his third directorial too. Right after Srinivas Avasarala narrated the script to Sai Korrapati, the ace producer suggested Sai Dharam Tej’s brother Vaishnav Tej’s name.

Srinivas Avasarala wrapped up the script work recently and the cast, crew are being finalized currently. An official announcement is expected soon. Sai Korrapati recently took the responsibility of Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law Kalyan Dev and the film is currently under production. Srinivas Avasarala earlier directed Ooohalu Gusagusaladey and Jyo Achyutananda.

Allu Sirish strikes a stunning Satellite Deal

Mega hero Allu Sirish is still waiting to score his first commercial hit in Tollywood. The actor looks focussed on his films and he signed an interesting film in the direction of VI Anand who recently directed Ekkadaki Pothavu Chinnavada. The movie is said to be a sci fi thriller and is currently under shoot. Surabhi and Seerat Kapoor are playing the female leads in the movie which is yet to be titled.

The movie has been carrying decent expectations and the satellite deal of the movie has been closed recently. The movie’s satellite rights have been acquired by Sun Network for a massive price of Rs 4.5 crores which is highest among Sirish’s films. Srinivas Avasarala is playing a crucial role in the movie and Manisharma is the music composer. Abburi Ravi is the dialogue writer and the movie has been slated for release during next year.

Ami Tumi telugu movie Review

Director Indraganti Mohan Krishna, who bagged a decent hit with Nani’s Gentleman last year, is now coming up with a screwball comedy ‘Ami Tumi’ which stars Adivi Sesh , Avasarala Srinivas and Eesha in the lead roles. The hilarious trailers of the film have drawn the attention of audience and Mani Sharma’s tunes have already become a talking point.
Let’s see if the film can strike the right chord with the audience or not ?
Story ( Spoiler Free) :

Ami Thumi is a situational comedy film based on the story of two pairs of lovers. Deepika (Eesha) and Ananth (Adivi Sesh) are the first lead pair while Maya (Aditi) and Vijay (Avasarala Srinivas) is the other. The fun begins when a super catalyst character Sri Chilipi (Vennela Kishore) meets these four characters. As their families oppose the love, the two lead pairs plan to elope and in the process, Deepika tricks Sri Chilipi and seeks help from him. Rest of the story is how Sri helps them succeed.

Performances:

Adivi Sesh as Ananth, Avasarala Srinivas as Vijay are adequate in male lead roles. Though technically these two guys are heroes, the show stealer is Vennela Kishore as Sri Chilipi. Kishore got author backed lengthy role which he nailed. Ami Thumi is undoubtedly Vennela Kishore’s career best performance.

Eesha has ease in acting and gave good performance. Another heroine, Aditi Myakal, of Posh Poris fame is weak link in the film. Tanikella Bharani who is known for controlled performance did too much of over-action in this film. Audience get annoyed by him in most of the scenes.

Analysis:

Indraganti who debuted with the National Film Award-winning ‘Grahanam’ and shined with ‘Ashta Chemma’ , ‘Gentleman’ is back again with comedy theme and succeeded to an extent. The film opens in sluggish manner as director takes time to establish the characters. Upon Vennela Kishore character arrival then movie picks up pace. Pre-Interval scene between Deepika’s maid and Vennela Kishore is laughing riot. Vennela Kishore overshadows all other characters in the first half. A point to be noted is that there are no songs in first half of the film. Post interval too, Kishore’s domination on the screen continues and movie runs smoothly without any boring moments. In the trailer, a particular scene gives us an impression that story might contain a gay thread but there is no such thread, except for just one comedy scene. The entire movie is clean comedy.

As per the story a major portion, almost 90 percent of ‘Ami Thumi’ has been filmed in just two locations Sheraton hotel suite and at Thanikella Bharani’s house. It is herculean task to engage audience if the film has limited production cost and restricted location span. However, PG Vinda’s cinematography and Indraganti’s stylish shots covers up the low budget. The overall look is stylish and classy.

Biggest complaint with this genre- is though the content is watchable, they don’t give masses a full cinematic experience. One reason being the less than 2-hour duration run, and the second partially due to the low production values.

Dialogues written by director himself are witty. Ensure to pay attention as they flow fast in the scene. Indraganti has his own style of wit. Second half contains couple of situational songs. Overall, Ami Thumi is a time pass product !

Positives :

-Vennela Kishore’s one man show
-Witty dialogues
-Background score
-Telangana dialect of lead characters

Negatives :

– ‘Making some one Bakara’ type comedy is predictable at times
– Overaction of character artists including Thanikella Bharani is irritating
– No good songs
– Srinivas Avasarala is under utilised

Verdict:

Ami Thumi is a onetime watch. Don’t try to find logics and just enjoy Indraganti’s directorial situational comedy. For its minimum budget, there are good chances it recovers the cost from A centres.

Story ( No Spoilers) :

‘Babu Baga Busy’ is the story in the year 2017 about Madhav ( Avasarala Srinivas) who is in his early thirties and is about to get married. Madhav falls in love with Radha (Mishti Chakraborty), whom he meets first time at the matchmaking interview (pelli choopulu). The narration is in a sliced flashback format which takes the audience from past to present alternatively. Madhav and his friends’ adolescent sexual adventures and their experiences in the recent years are shown back and forth. Both Radha and Madhav have crooked relationships in the past and ultimately reveal their shady background to each other. Rest of the story is how they resolve the marital life issue!

Performances:

Avasarala Srinivas in the role of Madhav as a sex addict has performed well. Mishti Chakraborty as Radha looked alright and delivered decent performance. Tejaswai Madiwada who plays the role of Madhav’s Ex-Girl Friend looks lost and uncomfortable. ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame Priyadarshi got lengthy role and acted well. Anchor Sreemukhi got only one scene and has nothing much to perform. Tanikella Bharani and Sudha endured the role of Madhav’s parents. Posani Krishna Murali was seen in the film. Aadarsh Balakrishna played a special role.

Analysis:

The concept might be interesting for youth, however it’s not supported by a good story, so ends up as a forced comedy. Though the trailer indicates a lot of sleazy content, the theme of the film is sex-centred without any sleazy sex comedy. Moreover, the director did not resort to skin show of women which is one positive. The screenplay of the film is the key spoilsport, especially the switching between past and present did not work well. In addition to the confusing screenplay, the film is slow paced. The ‘ Meow..’ concept filled the theatre with some laughs. Songs are poor and music by Sunil Kalshyap is disappointing. This film runs just for 125 minutes.

It was hardly a difficult task for Debutante director Naveen Medaram, as this film is simple word to word remake of a Hindi film. Abhishek Pictures which is known for aggressive distribution offers, could not do the same in production and consequently the flick has B grade look

Scenes involving aunty ( Supriya ) and Madhav( Avasararala), sexual mischiefs of Madhav and friends at their adolescent age might somewhat appeal to masses

Verdict:

‘Babu Baga busy’ is neither out n out adult comedy film nor a message oriented one. Poor narration, B grade production values and lack of proper comedy (nor Adult comedy) leaves the audience disappointed. Very small percentage of youth may find this film as an average, for all others it is avoidable.

Talented filmmaker Mohan Krishna Indraganti is busy wrapping up his next movie titled Ami Thumi. Touted to be a romantic comedy, the film features, Adivi Sesh, Srinivas Avasarala and Vennela Kishore in the lead roles. Eesha and Aditi Myakal are the female leads in the movie and the makers unveiled the first teaser of the film. The teaser sounds completely interesting with some sensible comic episodes throughout.

Mohan Krishna Indraganti seems to have directed some typical comic entertainer like Asta Chemma proves the teaser. An interesting cast in Ami Thumi too is making the teaser super funny. Manisharma’s background score is a huge plus and A Green Tree Productions produced Ami Thumi which is slated for post summer release.

Nani’s next to go on floors on December 2nd

As reported earlier, talented actor Nani will soon team up with Astha Chamma director Mohan Krishna Indraganti for his next film. It is learnt that Indraganti has readied a script which will tread a new path in Tollywood. In a recent interview, he confirmed that the film is a romantic thriller laced with fantasy elements.

Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that the regular shooting will roll out from December 2nd. Surabhi and Nivedha Thomas have been roped in as the female leads in the film which also features Srinivas Avasarala in a crucial role along with Rohini, Tanikella Bharani and Ramaprabha. It is heard that all the characters have equal importance in the film.

Nani is currently busy wrapping up his next film in the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi.

Srinivas Avasarala ropes in two young heroes for his next

Actor turned director Srinivas Avasarala, who made his directional debut with the cute romantic entertainer Oohalu Gusagusalade, will soon be directing a film which is titled Jo Achyutananda.

Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that Srinivas has roped in talented youngsters Nara Rohit and Naga Shaurya for the leading roles in the film. Sai Korrapati of Varahi Chalana Chitram will shepherd this project which is likely to go on floors very soon. Touted to be a comedy caper, the music for the film will be composed by Kalyan Koduri.

Nara Rohit is currently working for a bunch of his upcoming films and Naga Shaurya has recently wrapped up two films. Avasarala Srinivas is now shooting for Nithiin’s A..Aa. The regular shooting of Jo Achyutananda will roll out once they are done with these films.
