KCR asks Harish to divert budget to police, health depts to fight corona!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday asked finance minister T Harish Rao to divert budget of other departments to medical and health departments to fight corona.

KCR asked Harish to do a review and identify departments that incur lower expenditure this year due to corona and lockdown and divert these funds to police and health departments, which are incurring higher expenditure in the present circumstances.

KCR held a review meeting with Harish and senior officials at Pragathi Bhavan.

KCR directed officials to effectively implement ‘dual-pronged strategy’ to contain corona in Telangana.

He asked officials to continue door-to-door fever survey and supply medical kits to those who were identified with corona symptoms in the survey.

KCR also asked officials to increase corona tests significantly.

He directed them to procure 50 lakh rapid antigen test kits for the purpose.

Harish inaugurated TRS govt scheme in Hyderabad, What’s up?

0

It is known to everyone that TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had sidelined his nephew T Harish Rao both in the party as well as in the government after coming to power in 2014 to clear way for the succession of his son KT Rama Rao in the party and the government.

Though Harish is finance minister at present, KCR confined him to Siddipet.

Harish is never seen attending any party or official programmes in Hyderabad.

Harish was not given any party’s responsibility even in GHMC elections held in 2015 and 2020.

But on Saturday (today), Harish was seen inaugurating a TRS government scheme in Hyderabad.

The programme was to distribute 150 mobile fish retail outlets to unemployed women groups under GHMC limits.

Harish was the chief guest while fisheries minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav is the special guest.

Normally, KTR inaugurates all schemes, projects and programmes under GHMC limits as municipal and IT minister.

Harish is in no way connected with GHMC or fisheries department.

Despite this, Harish inaugurating the event fuelled speculations in TRS that KCR is again giving prominence to Harish after TRS suffered setbacks in the hands of BJP in Dubbak Assembly bypoll and GHMC elections in 2020-end.

In the recent graduate MLC polls, KCR had appointed Harish as party incharge for Rangareddy.

Seems Harish is coming back with a bang in TRS.

TRS targetting 1 lakh majority in Dubbaka bypoll

0

The TRS leaders are in an upbeat mood after the spectacular victory of Kalvakuntla Kavita as MLC. They are working with renewed vigour to retain Dubbaka assembly constituency in the byelection. TRS chief and CM K Chandrasekhara Rao has put Minister Harish Rao incharge of the election campaign. Vigorously electioneering in all the mandals, Harish Rao has set a target of increasing his party candidate’s majority to 1 lakh this time. In the 2018 assembly elections, the TRS got 62,500 majority as against 37,925 majority in the 2014 election.

On its part, the Congress has taken it as a prestige to increase its vote share in the segment. All the party stalwarts like Uttam Kumar Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka, Revanth Reddy and others were focusing all their time and energy on Dubbaka bypoll as of now. It became all the more important for them to showcase their resolve and strength before Manikya Tagore, who has taken over as Congress Telangana incharge recently.

The BJP is banking on the charisma of Prime Minister Modi and his Government’s popular programmes. However, the local issues are expected to dominate the election. In the triangular fight, the TRS is the only regional party which is facing the two other national parties. It is confident of increasing its majority thanks to its focus on regional and local issues.

10.5 lakh acres dry up due to AP GO 203: Harish Rao

1

Telangana Minister T Harish Rao has demanded that the Andhra Pradesh Government withdraw its GO 203 as it would have serious consequences for the farmers of Telangana for generations to come. The GO amounted to illegally take away Telangana waters. If 10 TMC water is diverted on a daily basis, then the Telangana irrigation projects will be badly hit. Irrigation will receive a serious setback in a state which already has many problems. This would also disrupt the supply of drinking water to Hyderabad capital city.

Harish Rao says that if AP GO 203 is not withdrawn, it would lead to drying up of over 10.5 lakh acres in Telangana. The Minister has further said that they would hold any talks only after the said GO is cancelled by the Jaganmohan Reddy government.

On the other hand, opposition parties in Rayalaseema region are demanding CM Jagan to go ahead and implement the GO 203 to lift Krishna river waters for saving Seema farmers. YSRCP regime is caught deep in a crisis that was created by its own unilateral decision.
