Romantic has taken a good start at the box-office but couldn’t maintain the same pace over the next days. The film has done average business over the weekend and it won’t be a breakeven for the investors. The wait for Aakash Puri continues.

Varudu Kaavalenu has taken a low start at the box-office and it’s been the same over the weekend. The film could has done better business in multiplexes which is usual for this kind of film. It has even struggled to recover rents in some centres. Naga shourya is struggling to find a proper hit after Chalo.

Maurthi’s Manchi Rojulu Vachayi & Rajinikanth’s Peddanna are releasing for this Diwali weekend. Both are expected to take a good opening on the diwali day

Varudu Kaavalenu review

Story:

Akash, Bhoomi were college mates in Manipal Institute of Science and Technology. While in college days, Bhoomi couldn’t express her love with Akash and they part ways after the education is complete. Bhoomi, who transforms into an authoritarian lady, manages a startup company in Hyderabad. After few years of no communication, Akash and Bhoomi meet each other on an architectural project. This time Akash likes her but hesitates to propose. Rest of the story is how each of them deals with their past and present love life.

Analysis:
‘Varudu Kavalenu’ is a simple story to start with and goes on lighter mode. The corporate office setup for Bhoomi ( Ritu Varma) as owner, Vennela Kishore and others as employees it is familiar recipe for some entertainment. As Akash (Naga Shaurya) comes to Hyderabad and take up a project with Bhoomi’s company, the flirting starts. Within 30 minutes into the film, audience do take note of the impressive dialogues written by debutante writer Ganesh Ravuri. Debutante director Lakshmi Sowjanya scores well in making women audience feel connect to the scenes. First half passes with no big plot twists as such, its all keep it simple approach.
Second half starts with college flashback story which is unimpressive but ends in a quick 20 minutes session. Murali Sharma Nadiya conversation scene about how parents should think about their daughter’s life stands out and best scene of the film. Story picks up momentum when Akash, Bhoomi and others go to a village for their colleague’s marriage. Saptagiri’s Lag comedy is hilarious for 15 minutes. Comedy scenes on Tiktok fanatic girls worked out a bit. Climax takes predictable path and ends on happy note.

Performances:
Naga Shaurya’s best film in terms of his looks, dress sense. He is naturally classy as an architect, performed with ease. Ritu Varma who picks her characters best suit to her body language, yet again got impressive role as Bhoomi. Nadiya, Murali Sharma as parents of Bhoomi played their standard roles. Vennela Kishore, Praveen, Saptagiri handled comedy department.

Production values are of good standards, Sithara entertainments must be commended for the lavish spend. Music by Vishal C is impressive and on screen picturization is good for three songs. Cinematography by Vamsi captures frames elegantly, natural locations’ aerial shots are cool. Overall good work by him

Weak conflict point
Predictable plot

Verdict :

‘Varudu Kaavalenu’ is a good watch for family audience, average film for youngsters. There is adequate entertainment in both halves, packed with fresh dialogues. However, slow paced treatment, no high moments, and main plot lacks strong conflict point are flipside. Regardless of drawbacks, this is a class film aimed at urban sections.

Naga Shaurya on Lakshmi Sowjanya: ‘Female directors are a lot more patient’

‘Varudu Kaavalenu’ is one of the most hyped upcoming movies in Telugu. With Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma playing the lead roles, the movie is helmed by Lakshmi Sowjanya. Slated for a huge release in theatres on October 29, the makers are leaving no stone unturned so as to promote this movie.

After the gala event with Allu Arjun as chief guest, the hype circling ‘Varudu Kaavalenu’ has gone up, high. Now that hero Naga Shaurya had an interaction with the media, here is what he has to share about his character, working with director Lakshmi Sowjanya, Ritu Varma, his marriage plans, future projects, and more.

When quizzed about how Naga Shaurya got this opportunity to act in ‘Varudu Kaavalenu’, he said, ” My director Lakshmi Sowjanya, I call her ‘Akka’ (sister), had narrated this storyline when my movie ‘Chalo’ was released in 2018. We knew this movie was going to be a good concept. As I had prior commitments, we had to wait.”

Naga Shaurya explains that his experience working with woman directors was so beautiful. “‘Varudu Kaavalenu’ is my second movie, which is directed by a female filmmaker. I had a great experience with Nandini Reddy for ‘Oh Baby’, and now Lakshmi Sowjanya for ‘Varudu Kaavalenu’. As far as I have experienced, women are a lot more patient on the sets. They do not lose their temper easily, and manage things subtly”, the actor explained.

Naga Shaurya also revealed that he plays a young man who has entered his 30s and is still unmarried. “How our society sees an unmarried person, and how he connects with a girl (Ritu Varma) is what ‘Varudu Kaavalenu’ is about,” Shaurya said.

The young actor also lauds Ritu Varma for being a good co-actress. He also thanked Allu Arjun for being able to attend the pre-release event of ‘Varudu Kaavalenu’.

Telugu’s ‘icon star’ Allu Arjun, who was seen at a gala event held by the makers of Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma-starrer ‘Varudu Kaavalenu’, has wished the team of Bollywood movie ‘Sooryavanshi’ all the best.

As the ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo’ actor shared some heartfelt moments with the team, he was seen wishing them huge success.

Speaking on the dais, Arjun had shared memory with Naga Shaurya, stating that he is a simple, shy person. He also wished female director Lakshmi Sowjanya for her guts in making ‘Varudu Kaavalenu’. Allu Arjun’s speech grabbed the attention of all, as he promoted both movies and wished that the theatres function well, so as to resume the livelihood of thousands of people who depend on them.

“I really wish from the whole of south India all the best to the entire team of ‘Sooryavanshi’. I really wish you get people back to the theatres and everybody gets back to the cinemas and watches this entertainment in a very, very safe way.”

Allu Arjun’s speech, has now become viral across social media for cheering for Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif-starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’, which releases in theatres this Diwali.

Touched with this gesture by Allu Arjun, Rohit Shetty, director of ‘Sooryavanshi’, took to Instagram and said, “As I said earlier, it’s not my film it’s OUR film… Thank you for the love and support brother. Wish you ALL THE BEST FOR PUSHPA @allarjunonline you are a ROCKSTAR”.

During his recent interview, Naga Shaurya said that Trivikram penned an episode in the film and he is quite happy for his contribution. He said that the flashback episodes of Varudu Kaavalenu are the major highlights of the film. He also said that Varudu Kaavalenu is a film that will appeal to all the sections of audience and he is pretty confident about the film.

Ritu Varma, Nadiya and Murali Sharma played other important roles in Varudu Kaavalenu. Sithara Entertainments are the producers. Vishal Chandrasekhar and Thaman composed the music.
