Nithiin lines up two new Films

Tollywood actor Nithiin needs a massive break as he tasted back-to-back debacles. He is juggling between the sets of Sriram Venu’s Thammudu and Venky Kudumula’s Robinhood. Both these films are made on massive budgets beyond the market of Nithiin and are said to be action entertainers. One among the films will hit the screens this year and the second one will release in February 2025. Nithiin is in plans to take up two new films and shoot for both of them simultaneously. Nithiin will soon reunite with his Ishq director Vikram Kumar and the shoot commences this year.

Hanuman producer Niranjan Reddy will produce this interesting project on Primeshow Entertainments banner. Nithiin also gave his nod for a youthful entertainer to be directed by 90s fame Aditya Haasan. The script is currently getting ready and the shoot commences early next year. Nithiin’s home banner Sresht Movies will produce this project. Nithiin will shoot for both these films simultaneously.

Vikram Kumar signs two new Web Projects

Tamil director Vikram Kumar has directed fantastic films like Ishq, 24 and Manam. None of his recent films were impressive and he is betting big on Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You. Vikram Kumar also completed the shoot of his first web series Dhootha which also has Naga Chaitanya in the lead role. Amazon Prime shelled out Rs 45 crores for this project which will be available for streaming soon. Impressed with the content and the quality, Amazon signed one more project with Vikram Kumar. The details about the project would be announced soon.

Vikram Kumar is said to have doubled his remuneration for this web project. Vikram Kumar is also in talks with top digital giant Netflix for an original. The talented director is now busy with back-to-back projects and he is completely focused on them. With all the Telugu and Tamil actors busy with multiple films, Vikram Kumar decided to complete the new web projects. He will promote Thank You next month which is releasing on July 22nd.

Vikram Kumar revives his long-delayed Project

Vikram Kumar is one of the most talented directors of South Indian cinema. His films 13B, Ishq, Manam and 24 are examples for his exceptional work. His recent outings Hello and Gang Leader failed to live up to the expectations of the audience and the new age director is busy with Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You which will release soon. During his recent chit-chat with a leading daily, Vikram Kumar revealed about his long-delayed project. Vikram Kumar worked on a script for Allu Arjun for two years but the project did not materialize.

Without losing patience, Vikram Kumar took the advantage of the lockdown and started working on the script again. “It is like my dream project and I am reworking on the script. Hope this project with Allu Arjun starts soon” told Vikram Kumar. He also said eight days of shoot for Thank You is pending and the first copy of the film will be ready by August. The film’s producer Dil Raju will take a call on the release date of Thank You. Vikram Kumar also confirmed that he is working on a web series for Amazon Prime.

Mahesh Babu’s script goes to Nani

Long back, producer Ashwini Dutt planned a film with Mahesh Babu. Director Vikram Kumar penned a script for this film. But, the project didn’t take off beyond discussion stages as Mahesh was not totally convinced with the script.

Now, Vikram Kumar is working on the same script with Nani. It is a known fact that the duo is currently working on a film titled as Gang Leader. Vikram Kumar has made slight changes to the same script he narrated to Mahesh Babu and impressed Nani. The suspense thriller revolves around four murders and Nani is playing a writer in this interesting film. RX 100 fame Karthikeya is playing a meaty role with negative shades.

The regular shooting is progressing at a brisk pace and the makers are planning to release it in the second half of this year.

One success can change the fate of a filmmaker in film industry. Lot of top production houses approach a successful director and they pay hefty amounts as advance to lock the talented filmmaker. Things happened the same with Vikram Kumar during his initial days after the super success of 13B and Ishq. C Aswhini Dutt paid advance for Vikram Kumar and the young director too promised a film for his Vyjayanthi Movies.

However Vikram Kumar did not honor his commitment and went on to direct films like Manam, 24 and Hello. Ashwini Dutt approached the Film Chamber and Directors Council. Now Vikram Kumar has been fined with Rs 1.5 crores. He has been asked to pay Rs 1.5 crores from the remuneration of his next film to Vyjayanthi Movies. Though it is unclear about the amount paid by Ashwini Dutt during those days, he is now getting a hefty cheque from Vikram’s pay which can be enough to produce a small budget film.

There are talks that Vikram Kumar will soon direct Nani in his next and the film will roll next year.

In what could be disappointing news for stylish star fans, Allu Arjun’s anticipated film with director Vikram Kumar is reportedly called off.

Well, the reasons being Allu Arjun is not convinced with the second half of the script. Earlier Vikram was asked to make appropriate changes and even after that Vikram could not get Allu Arjun’s approval. As already a lot of time got wasted, Allu Arjun moved on and is reportedly in talks with Trivikram Srinivas.

With no other option left, Vikram Kumar is heard to be looking at other heroes. There were reports that Vikram and Mahesh had a mutual consent for a collaboration and we have to see if Vikram knocks Mahesh’s door.

Allu Arjun and Vikram’s combination is touted to be a big budget action entertainer but unfortunately it’s not going to happen anymore!

Natural star Nani is awaiting the third release of this year in the form of MCA which is slated to hit the screens on December 21st. His next film Krishnarjuna Yuddham ( KAY) in the direction of Merlapaka Gandhi is also nearing completion. Only 20 days shoot is left to be canned and the film will make it to screens in early Summer.

It is learnt that soon after wrapping up KAY, Nani will kick start Vikram Kumar’s film without taking much break. As reported earlier, the 24 director pitched a refreshing plot that suits Nani’s image and got the nod immediately. Mahesh Babu’s sister Manjula will pool resources for this project.

Sources close to Nani say that he is keen on commencing Vikram Kumar’s film next keeping aside other commitments. So, the regular shooting of Nani – Vikram Kumar film will start rolling very soon.

Anup Rubens composed the music and the audio album has been topping the music charts. Produced by Nagarjuna, Hello has been slated for December 22nd release.

Annapurna Studios is bankrolling the project and the film will hit the screens early next year. Ekkada Ekkada Undo Taraka is the title considered for this flick.
