A number of new films released on Friday and the weekend box-office in Telugu cinema has been quite dull. Teja Sajja’s Mirai and Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ Kishkindhapuri have been decent over the weekend and they turned out to be the choice for the Telugu audience who wished to watch films in theatres. Super hit film Little Hearts too has witnessed decent numbers in the limited screens and it turned out to be the first choice for the youth. For the rest, there were no options left and all the other films remained quite low. Beauty was released on Friday but the film could not register decent numbers in the Telugu states.
The film struggled to sustain over the weekend. Vijay Anthony’s Bhadrakali too failed to make an impact and the openings were quite low. Hindi film Jolly LLB 3 has been decent in cities. Manchu Lakshmi’s Daksha released in a limited number of screens and the footfalls were quite low. Ilanti Cinema Meereppudu Chusundaru is the other release and the film too struggled to stay decent. With OG fever around and with new releases receiving poor response, the weekend has been quite dull for Telugu cinema.
