Telugu Movie buffs are in for a big treat in the next 45 days as a plethora of new films lined up for release starting from this Friday to the end of August. After Summer season, a few small and medium budget films got released in June and July so far. Now, Tollywood box office is going to witness a slew of much anticipated films in the next six weeks.
Puri Jagannadh’s mass entertainer Ismart Shankar, with Ram Pothineni in the lead role, is the first film of this packed season to test the luck at box office. The film is releasing this Friday amid decent expectations as the trailers and teasers filled with typical Puri mass elements struck a chord with B and C centre audience.
Vijay Devarakonda’s long delayed college drama Dear Comrade is gearing up for release on this 26th. The film has Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and Bharat Kamma is the director. Mythri Movie Makers is producing this film.
On August 2nd, two young heroes will clash at box office. RX 100 fame Karthikeya’s Guna 369 and Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas’ Rakshasudu are releasing on the same day.
Akkineni Nagarjuna’s romantic entertainer Manmadhudu 2 has locked August 9th as release date. The youthful elements in the promos have caught the attention of younger generation audience. Rahul Ravindran of Chi La Sow fame is the director and Rakul Preet Singh is the heroine. There are good expectations on this film in trade circles.
With Saaho getting postponed from August 15th, Sharwanand’s Ranarangam and Adivi Sesh’s Evaru have booked the release dates. Both films are carrying good hype in audience because of the impressive promos.
Nani’s Gang Leader has already been grabbing the eyeballs for the intriguing first look posters. Creative director Vikram Kumar is calling shots for this interesting revenge drama which has Nani in a first of its kind role. The makers have locked August 30th as the release date.
Prabhas’ Saaho, which has been postponed from August 15th, is likely to release on August 30th. The breathtaking teasers and promos have set very high expectations on the film in trade circles and audience all over the country.
With 9 films in 45 days, it is going to be a jam-packed season at the box office. As the box office success ratio in the first six months is quite underwhelming, trade circles are betting big on these big ticket releases.
