The audio launch of Akkineni Akhil‘s debut film Akhil was unveiled in style last night amidst huge crowd at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. The entire Akkineni family graced the audio launch to wish the fourth generation actor from their family. Superstar Prince Mahesh Babu was the special guest to the grand event.
Speaking to the occasion, Mahesh Babu said Akhil was the show stealer in the cult classic Manam with his cameo role. He added that Akhil has got a terrific screen presence and will surely emerge as a superstar in the coming years. He appreciated the trailer and song visuals and also thanked director VV Vinayak for introducing another promising actor to Tollywood.
On the other hand, the trailer of Akhil showcases what’s in store for the audience after the film’s release. The story of the film is set against the backdrop of a tribal group in South Africa. Akhil’s attractive mien and his energy levels during the songs and fights are very impressive. VV Vinayak ensured that the film is nothing less to a commercial entertainer. Sayyesha Saigal is elegant as Akhil’s romantic interest. The Akkineni lad also promises stylish and energetic dance moves in the songs.
Currently, the intro song shoot is progressing in Hyderabad. With this schedule, the entire shooting part will be wrapped up. Actor Nithiin is bankrolling the film on his Sreshth Movies banner. Anup Rubens and SS Thaman scored the sound track for the film. The film is slated to hit the screens on October 22nd.
