Another blow for Akhilapriya: Brother Jagat Vikhyat revolts

1

Former minister and TDP leader Bhuma Akhilapriya is passing through very difficult times. She Is facing cases, suffered arrests and associates and friends are leaving her regularly. Her one-time mentor AV Subba Reddy is now her arch rival. One of her brothers Mohesh Reddy has now joined the BJP.

Bhuma family members and politically powerful persons like Sivaramireddy, former chairperson of the Vijaya Dairy Bhuma Narayana Redd, Bhoma Kishore Reddy and others have moved away from Bhuma Akhila Priya.

The latest blow she suffered is the tiff between her husband Bhargav Reddy and her brother Bhuma Jagat Vikhyat Reddy. Sources say that Jagat Vikhyat Reddy is now trying to be on his own in politics and is said to be charting a new course for himself. He is said to be of the strong opinion that most of the problems being faced by the Bhuma family today are due mainly to Bhargav. He is said to have blamed Bhargav for the alienation of AV Subba Reddy family.

As of now, both Bhargav and Jagad Vikhyat Reddy are fighting cases together. Both are accused in the Serilingampalli kidnap case. Both evaded interrogation scheduled on July 3 in Secunderabad by producing fake certificates claiming that they were suffering from Covid. The police have now shown that the certificates produced by them are fake. Hence, they are now facing an imminent arrest.

At this stage, Jagat Vikhyat Reddy has suddenly turned against Bhargav and Akhilapriya. If sources are to be believed. He is trying to come out of the cases and is trying to assert his position in politics. He wants to emerge as an alternative to Akhilapriya. This sibling rivalry is now threatening to mar the political career of Akhilapriya. Jagat Vikyat Reddy is now planning to meet the TDP bosses to plead for his own political future.

Ambati demands Naidu to break silence on Akhila Priya

4

The TDP raised a hue and cry when former Minister and AP TDP President K. Atchannaidu was arrested in the ESI scam case. Atchannaidu was kept in jail for many days till he could finally get bail. Now, the YCP is asking why the TDP is keeping silent on the arrest of Akhila Priya in Hyderabad.
YCP MLA Ambati Rambabu demanded Chandrababu Naidu to break his silence on the Akhila Priya arrest. Why had the TDP chief lost his voice? He said that the TDP chief had called Atchannaidu when the latter was arrested in the corruption scam. Naidu also went to the Guntur General Hospital to visit him. But now, Naidu was not calling on Akhila Priya.
The YCP MLA accused Naidu of following double standards. The TDP chief had tried to take political mileage out of Atchannaidu’s arrest since it took place in Andhra Pradesh. But, he was afraid of raising his voice in respect of the arrest of Akhila Priya since it happened in Telangana.
Ambati has said that the TDP chief is afraid of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao. It was just because of the Vote for Note case. The YCP leaders are launching an all out attack on Naidu who is undoubtedly not in a position to defend Akhila Priya in the latest kidnapping case.

Video journalists attacked by followers of Bhuma in Guntur

Telugu Desam Party followers reportedly attacked the journalists who went to cover the program of Minister Akhila Priya and Nandyal MLA Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy. The TDP leaders were participating in Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations along with a meet and greet at a Pandal in Guntur on Wednesday. As per the reports, four video journalists were injured in the attack.

The video journalists went to cover the program upon the information given by TDP’s Chitti Babu only to be heckled by the followers of the ruling party, when the Tourism Minister Akhila Priya was addressing the media. They not only pushed the journalists forcefully but allegedly used expletives. They were soon dispersed by the police and other TDP leaders.

Following the incident, the journalists boycotted the coverage and lodged a complaint in Arundelpeta police station.

Participated in YSRCP campaign 2days after my mother died : Akhila Priya

0

Andhra Pradesh Minister of Tourism Bhuma Akhila Priya Reddy said the election campaign of YSR Congress Party has been sidelined from the due course. She said that YSRCP resorting to personal attacks not only on her but also her family is deplorable.

YSRCP has been constantly accusing Akhila Priya by saying that she went to the assembly seeking Cabinet berth a day after her father died. Responding to the allegation Akhila Priya said that “Two days after my mother Shoba Nagi Reddy died, I went for YSRCP election campaigning. How can they forget that?”

“If participating in election campaign seemed right to them at that time, then how can they say going to assembly is wrong now?” asked the Minister.

She said that despite her parents taking up several “Deekshas” to support the family of Jagan, the opposition leader did not even consider empathizing her father’s demise.

Jagan & Akhila invoke father’s legacy, while CM accuses Late YSR

0

Nandyal by-election campaign which started with statements like “If you don’t like my administration, do not take pensions from my government or walk on the roads laid by us” has taken an ugly turn with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister saying “Jagan’s father (YSR) conspired to kill me”

With the 40years of profound experience nobody anticipated that Chandrababu Naidu would resort to low-slung politics by citing the fallen. The Maoist landmine attack at Alipiri in October2003 neither worked in favor of TDP in 2004 elections nor will it work now in the Nandyal by-poll.

The Chief Minister in a lame attempt to put Jagan on spot dragged Y S Rajashekar Reddy by quoting the his supporter Kollam Gangi Reddy who lent extensive logistic support in the form of mobile phones and funds to the Left wing for killing Chandrababu. The investigation into the attack discovered that People’s War Group Naxalites executed it. The TDP supremo on Tuesday reportedly said that YSR contacted the police to let him off the hook in the case.

Prakash Singh Commission submitted the report on claymore mine attack to Chief Minister Chandrababu in 2004. Why did he not probe YSR when he had all the power and means to do so? He would have secured political mileage in the following elections. The same mileage which he is expecting to get now by pelting stones on Jagan.

On the other hand, Jagan also has been citing Late NT Rama Rao during his public meetings to belittle Chandrababu. YSRCP chief accuses the CM of backstabbing his father-in-law NTR. Almost in every meeting Jagan makes it a point to remind people as to how the TDP supremo took away NTR’s Chief Ministerial post and now uses NTR’s photos during elections.

Times have changed and it is longer time to pity the dead, but pity the living. The by-election is due to the untimely death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy. Minister Akhila Priya, daughter of the Late Bhuma, says there is nothing wrong in using her father’s sentiment in the election campaign. She is of the view that if Jagan can roam around carrying his father’s photo, there is nothing wrong in invoking her father’s sentiment.

While Jagan and Akhila Priya march into people with their respective father’s legacy seeking votes, Chandrababu is resorting to mudslinging on the YSR family indirectly by saying that “Jagan wants to shoot me, while his father actually planned to kill me.”

Roja comments on the dress sense of Akhila Priya Again!

Andhra Pradesh Minister of Tourism Bhuma Akhila Priya Reddy and YSRCP Nagari MLA Roja Selvamani have locked horns over attire of women politicians. Roja once again commented on Akhila Priya’s dressing sense and this time around stated that she has no objection as to what dress she wears. She said that it was only a suggestion to look decently when in public. She said that it is the minister’s choice on how she wants to dress up.

It may be recalled that Roja said that Akhila Priya dresses up as a man in Chudidhars while, the minister gave a matured reply to the YSRCP legislator. Ever since Roja sparked controversy, TDP leaders have been resorting to counter attacks.

On one hand Akhila Priya asked Roja to take stand against Silpa Chakrapani Reddy who has been speaking about woman in a degrading manner, on the other hand Roja demanded disqualification of Ministers Atchannaidu and Devineni for their derogatory behaviour against woman. She compared the Ministers to Kalakeya’s of Bahubaali.

TDP legislators targeting Roja for being a judge on Jabardasth Comedy Show. The YSRCP MLA said that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is running an anti-women government.

Akhila Priya: I respect Roja but will never get personal in attacks

Tollywood actor cum politician Roja triggered controversy by finding fault in Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Akhila Priya’s dressing style. The YSRCP MLA alleged that Akhila Priya has no respect towards Indian culture. She said that the TDP legislator doesn’t wear sarees and moves around shamelessly wearing chudidars like men.

Responding to the contentions, Akhila Priya said that the words from Roja are due to frustration, as some women have blocked the YSRCP MLA’s campaign in a ward. The Minister said that, “As a woman I have respect towards her, because it is difficult for women to grow in Politics or Acting. I hope she will understand my position being a woman herself.”

Akhila Priya said, “it is difficult for us as kids to hear that our father was murdered.” She hoped that Roja would understand the pain the children endure, especially her younger brother, when they hear such statements.

The TDP legislator said that there is nothing wrong in using her father’s sentiment in the election campaign. She said, “if Jagan is roaming around carrying his father’s photo, even my dad is great for me.”

The Allagadda TDP MLA said that it is better to concentrate on people’s problems instead of getting personal in attacks. Speaking to a popular Telugu news channel, she recalled that her parents never attacked anyone on personal level and she pledged not to verbally attack on private lives of individuals.

Akhila Priya defers naming of Nandyal by-election candidate

It was almost confirmed that the Telugu Desham Party will be nominating a candidate from Bhuma family for the Nandyal assembly by-elections. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seems to be considering Bhuma Bhramananda Reddy as the possible candidate. Last week, Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya said that on 24th April which is the third death anniversary of her mother Shoba Nagireddy, the name of the candidate will be announced.

However as per the latest reports, the TDP leadership asked Akhila Priya not to announce the name and confine the Allagadda meeting to the death anniversary. Subsequently, the Minister heeded to the request and said that after discussing with the CM the name of the candidate will be revealed.

Bhramananda Reddy is the nephew of Nagi Reddy. His father Shekar Reddy was ex-MLA. Bhramananda Reddy has been vigorously participating in political affairs for some time now and actively supported the late Bhuma couple. Also, he is the son-in-law of YCP leader Katasani RamiReddy, which might work in his favour.

On other hand, Silpa Mohan Reddy who wants to save his candidature literally protested to contest from Nandayal. Even though MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy was assured council chairman post, Mohan Reddy seems to be reluctant to withdraw his plans. Speculations are rife that Mohan Reddy might defect to YCP. However, Chakrapani Reddy supposedly held discussions with CM and also said that that the ticket would be issued based on wining chances after conducting a grass-root level survey. Chakrapani Reddy asserted that they wouldn’t leave the party. It is exciting to watch the next steps of Mohan Reddy, especially if he will choose to stay without candidature or will go against his family.

Nandyala by-poll – Akhila Priya casts her dice

0

Vijayawada: Minister for Tourism Bhuma Akhila Priya had cast her dice for the Nandyala Assembly seat by-election. She broke her silence on the run for the ruling Telugu Desam Party ticket for the election. The race had intensified with former MLA Silpa Mohan Reddy staking his claim for the seat and mounting pressure on TDP president to give him the ticket. Another former minister N Md Farooq too had jumped into the race asking for the ticket. There is equally strong pressure from the Bhuma family to give the seat to them as it was held by Bhuma Nagi Reddy.

In this background, Akhila Priya spoke to journalists where she had opened the issue claiming for the seat. She said that the Nandyala Assembly seat was won by her father Nagi Reddy in the last election. It was the responsibility of the political parties to leave the seat to her family. She further said that her family would name their candidate for the seat on April 21, the death anniversary of her mother Sobha Nagi Reddy. This would mean that the Bhuma family would mount its force making the fight more complicated. The flames of fight for supremacy are set to be spreading fast in the State generating enough heat to make politics interesting.

Perhaps Nandyala is one of the very few Assembly seats where election mood started ahead of the election schedule with the aspirants fighting for ticket within the ruling party.

Akhila Flays Denial of Medical Care to Dad

0

Allagadda MLA Akhila Priya alleged that state police had highhandedly foisted false case on her father Bhuma Nagi Reddy and were denying him appropriate medical care.

Bhuma Nagi Reddy was arrested on charges of abusing the police officials who were on election duty. Court ordered him 14-day judicial custody in Allagadda, Kurnool district.

According to Akhila Priya her father is on hunger strike in the jail in protest against the injustice being meted out to him.

“if anything should happen to him, the State has to be blamed,” she warned.

“The Government is using police to target my father and is always on the lookout to foist cases on him and he is now denied permission to be shifted to NIMS, Hyderabad. Should anything happen to him I will hold the Government responsible,” she told media on Saturday.

She alleged that  a case under SC, ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act had been booked on the dictates of the Chief Minister’s Office.

“When arrested last time, he was shifted from Nandyal hospital to Kurnool and from there to NIMS by the same TDP government. But, this time they are denying him proper medical care,” she said.

Stating that the collector had sent a three-member medical team to examine her father’s health condition to take a decision on shifting him to NIMS, the youngest MLA in Assembly said there was no need for all that as the medical history of Reddy  was readily available.
